I plead on his behalf: abeg leave the guy let him not fall into depression leading to him killing his Rottweiler thinking it is chicken with four legs. I feel really bad for them when they are exposed. They just promote their emptiness to deceive the public.
I see aIot of iIIitrates with Rottweilers, they carry it around to show a sense of sophistication, that's exactly why he's mentioning it even tho' he may not have it.
They should avoid intellectual discourse, they never listen, they just talk about constitution and talk without knowing what's written inside.

Really so armed robbers exist because of support from the society they are terrorising

Ritualistic, cultist, kidnappers exist because the support they receive from the society they are terrorising

Oga learn to engage your head before you engage your mouth
My father always taught that when dishing out advice to others, make sure you apply same advice to yourself.
You should have applied the last advice to yourself.

If you are asked to write a paper on terrorism, this is what you will list as terrorism?
So if you are sitting in a conference and you are asked to talk about terrorism, you will start talking about; armed robbers, ritual killers, cultists and kidnappers?
Why am I even talking about conference to a certain Nedu whose expertise is a 2 by 2 shop?
Intellect is beyond many of you who like to engage in intellectual discourse, the concept of terrorism, militancy etc obviously is way your grasp so if you are seeking for a beer parlor talk, look for ur fellow 2 by 2 shop owners to talk this with when you have less customers or your fellow "under the umbrella" seller, this is beyond your scope.

This is really funny.

Haba!!

The part that offed me was: "He has never seen a constitution before".

You get mouth like those old elders wey no send anybody. They'd manufacture insults to make person evaluate his entire existence.

Anyway, he was trying to appear intelligent and I suspected he barely passed law. My bad. I now doubt if he ever stepped foot within any reputable university premises. Perhaps one of those criminal universities in Togo some of them buy dubious degrees when they can't pass examinations administered by JAMB.
I have encountered alot of them, I gave them the benefit of doubt that they know what they were talking about, only to realize that they know nothing at all.
He has never seen a constitution before, if we are sitting together physically and you ask him to tell you the section of the constitution he's quoting, he won't know it, since we are on the internet, he will Google it and tell you.
I had this argument with someone some few weeks ago about "The Judiciary", he doesn't know what "Judiciary" mean but he wanted to lecture us about Law, I didn't read law but I grew up with a high court judge so I have some ideas about law and how the system functions.
If you dig into him, you will realize he did Diploma studies in one polytechnic where the lecturers don't attend class at all but they will all pass.
If someone that's refined is typing, you will see it from his use of language.

I now firmly believe that some fallen progenitor cursed this land from the hell. Every governor from this region should be prosecuted at the ICC for watching ,tolerating and not fighting a crime against God, humanity, and all moral decency.
I know the writer is writing from a place of concern as Yoruba, I understand what he said because so far so good, the Yorubas has alot of affiliations with fetish stuffs, that's the part of the reason why I don't feel comfortable in their land, but Yorubas are comfortable in their homes, it is us strangers that are not.
Ironically, lgb0s feel more comfortable in Yoruba land than their own land.
What should lgb0s do to their own governors if Yorubas take their governors to ICC?

Just this once, I'd just tell you: you are not exactly bright. If you studied law, I am sure you had an "E" in Evidence Law. Even a dunce knows that video evidence is admissible if it satisfies certain requirements.

I suggest you give Section 84 of the Evidence Act to your Rottweiler to read and explain it to you, since you are irreparably dull to read it and understand, which may have prevented you from humiliating yourself and the university that awarded you a degree. Also see the ruling on video evidence by the Supreme Court. I know you won't understand because you barely passed Evidence Law after carrying it over twice, that the Dean of Law had to give you a pass so you'd stop embarrassing the faculty and the unievrsity.

Please I can't waste time on your sick reasoning again.
What is it that is giving you the confidence that this chap read law?
He has never seen a constitution before, if you ask him to quote a section of the constitution, he will have to Google it, you are taking him and a d0g serious?

Shut your dirty mouth. Have you given him chance to defend himself in court? He could say the video was done by AI, edited or or was talking about something else.

Nigerian constitution says you cannot hold a person more than 48 hours in a cell without charging the person to court or getting a court order to further detain him.

INEC switched off their servers in broad daylight and ushered in the worst president in the history of the world and none of them is in prison. Your attention is Speed Darlington and Burna Boy insult which is a civil issue that should be taken to civil court for arguments.
Where were you since 27th November to quote this part of the constitution to the court to facilitate his release?
If we ask you to name the section of the constitution that said so, you will start googling and googling before you reply.
Have you ever seen a constitution?
Do you even know what is written at the beginning of the constitution?
It's only Obidents that talk about constitution yet have NEVER for once in their life seen one.
Why don't you go to Twitter, tag INEC and tell them they switched off their server?
It is only Obidents that talk about civil and criminal cases but when they are sitting with you without access to rush to Google where they will become emergency experts, they will start foaming from their mouth.

Economics make it easy to spend foreign currency in our own country (though that is still under dispute since you have yet shown me any company in Nigeria that demands you pay it in dollars). If I pay you in dollars in Nigeria though, I'm certain you would not tell me to go to hell and pay you in Naira instead.

Dude please pay very close attention. The policy does not affect me one tiny bit, since Nigeria is not passing a law anytime soon barring me from bringing dollars to Nigeria and spending it wherever I want, and if I need to convert it to dollars aboki will gladly oblige.

Nigeria needs the foreign currency, so this policy is stupid and unenforceable.
I don't remember asking you to read what I deleted.
Cutting a reply into segments like this, I won't bother to read.
Your lamentations on Nairaland won't have any effect on the policy.

Now, are Nigerian expats in other countries paid in Naira?
Your question is pointless.

Would any Nigerian expat want to be paid in Naira considering the difficulty you'd have paying your bills in Naira where you are in and where the difficulty of converting it, if possible, would be at the reduced official rate so you lose money?
I practically deleted it to avoid deflection.

Nigerians are not paid in dollars because according to you, there's difficulty in spending naira outside Nigeria, but we should make it so easy to spend foreign currencies in our own society right?

You can continue to cry about the policy, ur lamentations won't change it if implementation is going ahead.
When people like you talk, it reeks so much of ignorance yet you will be so loud mouthed about being sophisticated.
PoliticsRe: Farotimi, The Leader Nigeria Needs. by JagabanBorgu: 5:58pm On Dec 20, 2024
People from a particular region always have a knack for naming every Tom, Dick and Harry as renowned leader, it's little wonder they have the most sh!.tty group of leaders as a region, this was exactly how Lienus became messiah overnight without doing anything other than screaming "go and felify".
If you want to be a good leader in their eyes, just start insuIting and castigating the c0untry and they will name you an icon.
If Buhari starts insuIting Tinubu and Nigeria, they will tell you he's the best president ever.
The Tinubu they are cûrsiñg when finishes his tenure and starts insuIting Nigeria, they will come back to praise him for all what they are cûrsiñg him about today.

I don't know why a group of people can be so emotional.

Borrow222:
A few days ago, we all woke up to sad news in Ibadan, where about 35 kids lost their precious lives as a result of a poorly organized funfair.

The question we should ask ourselves is what the organizers would share at the funfair that would make parents allow their children to gather as early as 5 am.

The organizers can only share a small portion of rice and maybe caprison for the kids. For that number of kids (7,500) to gather at that time of day clearly shows the level of hunger and hopelessness in the country.

The worst part is that nobody will be held accountable, and nobody will be jailed.

The citizens will just accuse each other and throw tribal banter, and the case will be closed.

Losing 35 innocent kids in a day is a great loss for a country, and people should be made to pay for it.
First and foremost, people were arrested.
Secondly, the average Nigerian is greedy, that is the reason why you see Nigerians fighting for a plate of rice at parties, since I was born, I have seen Nigerians fighting for a plate of rice, when you reprimand them, they will tell you they can afford the rice and they have alot in their homes.
Coming to blame the greed of individuals on others is a sign of irresponsibility.
Go back to same venue and organize same event with promise of #5,000.
Loads of Nigerians will still appear.

Few days ago, I saw a huge road block somewhere, I asked what happened, they said Airtel and MTN are sharing free sim cards, ironically most of the people queuing up for those sim cards actually have sim cards, the greed and quest for free things in Nigeria is beyond measure that explains why Iooting of public dividends is on rampage because everyone is greedy.
Whatever happened in Ibadan is not an indication of "hunger and hopeless" like u Iots are trying to make it into, it's an indication of greed, the attitude of the average Nigerian to get anything even at the expense of his neighbor, that's why there's a stampede in that place.

You mentioned IITA, The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture. If it hires expats it will indeed pay in dollars, but it will not likely pay Nigerians in dollars! You might as well have mentioned Shell too, and Chevron, and the International School in Ibadan, or the foreign coach of the Nigerian Eagles, all of who would be paid in foreign currency.

As for demanding payment in foreign currency in Nigeria, you never said who does that. And if you were to think just a little, you'd know that a company that demands payment in a foreign currency in Nigeria is trying to limit its own sales, because it sure would be limiting
those who can buy what it sells.

As for your "So many sh!.t go on in this country that many people are not aware of", that's what people say when they are talking through their ass. If it were happening as you claim, you'd provide more than IITA that can be logically explained.
I actually typed a long reply citing examples with explanations but that will be huge deflection from the point I'm trying to make.

This simple question will make my point.

Now, are Nigerian expats in other countries paid in Naira?

The Government is talking about mechanized farming with target for food surplus, security and if possible export, the money named here is very meagre and can only sustain a little above normal subsistence farming.

So you know a fish farm in Nigeria that is run by an individual and they started the business with #2B?
Can you give us the name of this fish farm let's confirm if they started the farm with #2B.

It is only ignorant people that will say a farm starting with #1B is "a little above normal subsistence farming", a "normal subsistence farming" in Nigeria is not worth #200k.
Anybody who spends even #200k in farming is not doing subsistence farming unless you don't know what "subsistence" farming is.
