After Ohakim, Lamido, EFCC Moves To Arrest Ex- Abia Gov. T. Orji There are strong indications that the Economic and Finacial crimes Commision(EFCC) has moved to invite the Former Governor of Abia State and Senator representing Abia Central Senatorial District in the National Assembly Chief Theodore Orji over embezzlement of public funds meant for the development in the State. A close source within the Headquaters of the Anti-graft body told PUO REPORTS that the commision had received not fewer than 12 Petitions against the former governor, praying it to investiagte how Sen.T A Orji managed the affairs of Abia State from MAY 29 2007 till MAY 29th 2015 when he piloted the affairs of the state. Another issue raised by the petitioners included how the Son of the former Governor, who is now a member Representing Umuahai Central in the State Assembly Hon.Chinedum Eyninnaya Orji managed the sum of 67 Billion Naira, which he was alleged to have collected via frivolous contracts,he was reported to have awarded to himself during the reign of his father as Abia State Governor. Recalled that there had been several allegation of finacial misappropriation and Embezzlement levelled against the former Governor during his days as Abia State Governor, but efforts to get him proved abortive due the immunity he constitutionally enjoyed as a governor. It will be recalled that Chief Theodore Orji won the Abia Central Senatorial seat in a controversial circumstances, which his close rival Barr. Ahamdi Nweke is challenging at the Tribunal, because the former Governor, now Senator lost at his own Polling unit during the March 28th Presidential and National Assembly elections, but was declared winner in a shocking manner. PUO REPORTS was unable to verify the particular date the EFCC will extend its letter of invitation, which has being already compiled. President Mohammadu Buhari had during his inaugural speech maintained that no corrupt politician will go unpunished under his watch as President of Nigeria. Politics / EFCC TO INVITE T. A. ORJI & HIS SON OVER MULTIPLE FRAUD by Jakara: 7:04am On Jul 10, 2015 |
I was lucky to meet an official of EFCC in a public bus here in Abuja yesterday and he told me that EFCC have some petitions filed against Ex-Abia Governor T.A.Orji and his Son Chinedu Orji. He further stated that nothing will stop them from probing them only that they have too many cases in law court now. He advised that people should file more petitions through EFCC office nearest to them to increase their count charges against them. I am not Abian but I know much about their sufferings. |

Imokay: The truth of the matter is that such discrimination should not be witnessed by such paramilitary organisations that bear live firearms, it is not helping issues in Nigeria. Does that mean that Ministry of Interior is more experienced than Nigerian Military, SSS, Police? Because this organisations do not discriminate between thir HND & B.Sc holders. 3 Likes |

Imokay: Imokay, you spoke fine and I must commend you for a constructive point. My question is, where in Nigerian law or constitution is it written that you pay HND lower than B.Sc or that Nigerians should discriminate among the two certificate holders. The same group of B.Sc holder that brought about this discrimination for their selfish interest, are the same people that projects corruption in Nigeria. Nigeria should do away with this selfish interest and look for intellectuals & ideas that could save Nigeria from its state. 9 Likes |

Federal Government should please end this certificate discrimination between HND & B.Sc. holders in Federal Ministry of Interior (Prisons, Immigration, Civil Defence) and others in order to increase their productivity. This discrimination is irrelevant, dangerious, unethical and unconstitutional. There is a looming bloody clash between these two cadres at fields of operation due to live arms/ammunition they bear and that is why every well meaning Nigerian should help towards scrapping out this because you/ your family will become victim directly/indirectly & never ask God why because you caused it by not publishing or broadcasting this message. Few of the discriminations witnessed in Min. of Interior are; ? HND (Inspectorate Cadre), while B.Sc. (Superintendent Cadre). ? Entry Level for HND is G/L 7, while a fellow Graduate with B.Sc. is G/L 8. ? HND G/L 7 earns (#70,000 pm), while B.Sc. G/L 8 earns (#120,000 pm). ? Terminal Point for HND is G/L 13, while B.Sc. is to the highest G/L. ? HND/ inspectorate cadre ranks are confusing, while superintendent ranks are normal ranks/recognized ranks in military/paramilitary agencies. ? B.Sc Holder hardly pay complement to his superior officer with HND certificate. ? HND graduates are denied one Grade Level during rank conversation. ? Above all, HND holder in this Ministry of Interior are regarded and treated as artisans with WASC or Trade Test qualifications. It is shameful that staff of Ministry of Interior and others as affected no longer concentrate on their duties or bring ideas that could help the job, rather they focuse on getting more certificates by hook or by crook in order to be converted to superintendent cadre. It is obvious that other well recognised security agencies like; Nigeria Military, DSS, Nigerian Police, etc do not discriminate in ranking between HND & B.Sc. Holders. Federal Government should merge Ministry of Interior with Police to stop this nonsense if they persists in this evil act called discrimination. 50 Likes 7 Shares |

Military road blocks will return to Abia – Ikpeazu By Seun Opejobi on July 2, 2015 dailypost.ng/2015/07/02/military-road-blocks-will-return-to-abia-ikpeazu/ Despite the directive by President Mohammadu Buhari that all military checkpoints across the country be removed, Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State on Thursday announced the restoration of military checkpoints in the state. The Abia State number one citizen stressed that he has the backing of the military high command for the restoration of military checkpoints across the state. This information was contained in a press statement signed by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Godwin Adindu, in Umuahia. The statement quoted the governor as saying that the return of the roadblocks in the State was a proactive measure in tackling the rising cases of kidnapping activities in the state and other criminal activities. Abia was, for the better parts of 2009 and 2011, besieged by kidnappers until they were flushed out by soldiers. According to the statement, the State governor consulted with President Muhammadu Buhari, and the General Officer Commanding the 82 Division of the Nigerian Army Enugu before taking the decision. The statement noted that the military roadblocks would be restored at designated points across the State. Ikpeazu, who expressed sadness at the cases of insecurity witnessed over the last couple of weeks, promised to stamp out insecurity in the State. The governor warned criminals to stay away from the State or be ready to face the long arms of the law. |

A social critic has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to help stop alleged discrimination between Higher National; Diploma (HND) and Bachelor’s Degree holders in Nigeria's paramilitary formations. In an essay published by PM News » , Buhari was urged to take quick action in order to stop the 'dangerous discrimination.' Above all, HND holder in this Ministry of Interior are regarded and treated as artisans with WASC or Trade Test qualifications. He also noted that the "other well recognised security agencies like; Nigeria Military, DSS, Nigerian Police, etc do not discriminate in ranking between HND and BSc. holders." The HND/BSc debate has been on on for a long time, signalling a battle of supremacy between polytechnic and university certificate holders. In an interview with an Abuja based newspaper » , Dr. Kabiru Matazu, Rector of Hussaini Adamu Federal Polytechnic Kazaure, called for the removal of the dichotomy. » Also, the National President of National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS) Com. Ogbonnaya Sunday, the problems of polytechnic students and graduate can be traced to the dichotomy. » Even more recently, Professor Femi Mimiko, Vice Chancellor of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko, Ondo State, described the dichotomy as unnecessary. » pulse.ng/student/hnd-b-sc-dichotomy-hnd-b-sc-dichotomybuhari-urged-to-address-dangerous-certificate-discrimination-id3867476.html |
