pablo aimar: With what I gathered, monthly clearance last for 8 - 10 days, even in our posting letter it was clearly stated that monthly clearance will be from 2nd - 8th of every month, so panic not, my only advise is that u should be at your PPA latest by the. 3rd of January cos u can still do your clearance on the 6th.

The main problem is that the L.G.I does our clearance on CDS day which is every thursday, so even if I arrive a day later (3rd) or within that week, He will still refuse to clear me till I give him a percentage

yokiti: My brother, the ZI/ LI isnt serious jare, (s)he doesnt want you to enjoy the yuletide. You can delay your travelling to the third week of January because by then, the traffic on the road would have reduced drastically.
On a more serious note, you need to do the needful by planning your trip very well so as not to be a scape goat. You have many new year celebration ahead of you and this will nothinder the ones to come. You can ask from your other colleagues, the first week of January is the only approve week for the months's clearance. Ausoka lafiya which means safe journey in Hausa.

The ZI/ LI who determines the time for your monthly clearance told you to come on a date approved by him/ her, you are here asking anonymous fellow who you dont know their status for some unnecessary information!

@OP, if your LI says Jan 2nd, you either call his bluff and risk your allowance (whatever happens) or you report as required and earn your allowance. Either way, ensure you don't miss your allowance.

I am really confused o, we normally do our clearance every first thursday of the month. I came home for the christmas break(cos I can't spend it there) and our L.G.I says we have to be back for our clearance by 2nd of January, which is the first thursday or lose your january allowance.
Where I stay is very far from where I'm serving. I can't imagine spending the new year in a vehicle. So I am wondering is it so elsewhere or is it just our L.G.I tryin to squeeze a few bucks out of us?

UCL can NEVER be bigger than the World Cup, 70% of players you see at UCL will be at the World Cup; CR7, Messi, Ribery, Sneijder, Rooney, Nani, Cavani, Gotze, Ozil, Suarez, Neymar, David Luiz, Falcao, Toure, Drogba, Eto'o, Mikel. So wetin you dey find again? If your country has big prospects at the WC like Brazil, Spain, Uruguay, Germany, Argentina etc you'll love the WC more than UCL, but as una no get wetin una wan look forward to.....

1. Only 70% of the big stars will be at the world cup, so I will not be watchin stars like Ibrahimovic, bale nd Ramsey at the world cup, which is not cool
2. Am a big fan of soccer, and once in four years to experience a big tournament and watch these stars battle against eachother isn't good enough. But the champions league solves these issues for me.



PS: I suggest u watch the next round of champions league matches, u'll be HOOKED

UEFA Champions League is like a filler in between, whilst waiting for the World Cup.
I have no emotional attachment to the Champions League, at best to specific players and their success.

That's another problem, one has to wait four years for it

As the 2014 world cup draws closer, anticipation is high for what is termed the biggest soccer competition in the world.
But for me, I no too send. To be sincere I am more eager to watch the mouthwatering champions league knockout fixtures. So for me, because of d fixture complexity, duration nd number of elite clubs in the champions league, I would say it is bigger.

What do y'all think?
