See bro I won't lie all this shi is unnecessary stress just focus on procuring your visa and if your visa is approved explain to the vo that approved your visa he would expedite the pick up and you to book your flight that day and leave on the 15th only that ticket go cost die for you

My visa interview is next week and i applied to only 2 schools. I want to know if that is too low and I am wondering whether i should add one more. Also I am worried that they would search the gre test sheets and see that i only applied to two schools. Any ideas please would be welcomed.

I don't see all the fuss about qatar fly emirates and other middle east airlines, they have no reason to turn you back except your holding a fake document or something. I flew with qatar on December 25th and when I got to qatar doha's airport nothing really special happened as I was waiting to be checked self I was choking the Indian tazanian babe and I was denied a temp visa but I was given a hotel room in their hotel coz I had a 8 hour stopover and in the morning I took my 14 hr flight to jfk the poe didn't even ask me no problem ...so I don't see the fuss just be yourself and nothing is gonna happen to you.....your humble servant jakeharris

Gurus inhouse,, my resumption date is Aug 31st & general orientation is a week earlier (23), there's also a specific orientation in my faculty 4days before the general orientation (19).
I initially planned on going 2wks before school date i.e. 3days b4 my faculty orientation, but now I figure out almost everyone would be coming a week before the general orientation for housing issues (16), am wondering if I should shift it to 9th which is 3wks before classes to secure accomodation. But I hate the fact of just being idle doing nothing over there.
Is this a nice move 2wks before orientation (3wks b4 class) or going an extra week earlier.

Have you sorted out your housing....and are you living on or of campus

it's not easy to save here man..especially when one does not have a green card yet. You got your rent to pay and other miscellaneous bills,you also gotta treat your girlfriend nice on weekends.I don't know about other cities,but the city where I am..makes living a lot more easier.

Thing is, etihad has its advantages. After 14 hrs of flight from the UAE to nyc, no one has time to start queuing up for another 1-2 hours especially if your flight lands in the afternoon which is rush hour at JFK. After passing through the CBP at abu dhabi, you're technically in the US so you don't have to pass through CBP in new york..

I came in with qatar and did not have to quee at new York ....it was just so safe and easy

My advice to you all traveling if you can't stand the rigorous interview or not sure of yourself don't go through Etihad. ....yiu can use qatar ....they don't put people through tooo much they just scan your visa and new York is one of the easiest and sweetest port of entry......i hope you all have a good time

Except the 30 day rule don't apply at poe.....no amount of convincing won't stop them from sending you back....they would tell you if you came on the 13th of next month you will have 30 days to sort yourself out which is more than enough

Orientation date is different for the start date on the i20.

On the i20, it might say student resume 08/09/2015.
So student can arrive from any Poe from July 9 upward .

Orientation is a welcome program. Some school do it a week before class begins

Yeah but you know orientation comes before the resumption date....some people skip orientation. ...you just have to be there on the first day of class
