I am beginning to lose sympathy for Faleke. while eating from Lagos state, must Faleke disorganise Kogi state for selfish reasons?
Faleke is proving to me that he is a typical politician, greedy to the core. If not in a "ZOO" like Nigeria, why should a politician be eating from 2 states at the same time? |

Ahmadgani: You are making alot of sense and there is meaning to your views, but the problem with the youths of this country is lack of guts.
Yahaya bello of kogi state is a youth, he was given an opportunity but he blew it up. Go to kogi and see the mess he has made out of that state.
Another issue is that of religion. I believe in God, i worship Him and i practice my religion perfectly. However from sociological and psycholigical poin view, i cannot deny the fact that religion is hindering our progress as a nation in general.
Until nigeria youths are released from the claws of imperialism and neocolonialism, lets kiss this hope good bye You must be one of the ghost workers weeded out by Gov Bello. Your mentality is what the OP is talking about, quick money, even if it is through illegal means. Youths of Kogi state who have the interest of Kogi at heart are with Gov Bello. Kogi has been seriously messed up by the past govts and Gov Bello is doing the yeoman job, trying his best to clean the state. |

Sanusi was CBN gov for 5 years under GEJ and only found his voice when he had about 6 months to the end of his tenure. He thinks he is smart. After chopping quietly for over 4 years, to his satisfaction, and knowing he had nothing to loose, started doing what he was supposed to do for the over 4 years he was in the saddle. A typical Nigerian indeed. When in position, he will play along to chop his own share. When he is no longer in position, he will begin to claim sainthood. Sanusi can only fool those who are not wise. Sanusi is a silent crook who aided and abetted corruption. |

PaulSteve: My opinion is that the whistle blowing initiative is a very good one in the fight against corruption and in our drive to retrieve stolen funds. However, the 2.5-5% reward promised the whistle blower is low, very low. It makes the target of the initiative those who stole only in billions and hundreds of millions, not the lesser millions and tens of millions. If this approach is to gain great results, the percentage of the whistle blower has to be raised to atleast 10-15%, then when someone has proof of stolen N5M,the individual can be sure that whistleblowing will fetch at least N500k,not a meagre amount. And there are many corrupt acts in few millions to hundreds of thousands of naira that will interest people to report on. Finally,a whistleblower protection law should be enacted! Fellow Nigerian, I think whistle blowing is a noble act of patriotism and should not be taken as a business for profit. |
