That is the truth. He thinks like a military man. And this is the main reason I believe Buhari will not change anything. Already, his party is holding him ransom as to choice of VP. This is the beginning of his failure. Buhari must understand that democracy is not a one man show as is done in the military.

Was Buhari the Head of State in 1977? He was working with orders from above at that time. So you can't say Buhari did it.

Yes, he can fail exams and still get promoted, is it not the northern oligarchs and the northern military mafia that was in power then? The norm was "who no man" if you well connected you can get promoted not only in the military, but all the spheres of Govt.

So yes, I believe IBB that Buhari is the only Nigerian military officer that failed all of his exams. Little wonder we can’t get anything by way of policy from him or ideas on national security or the economy.

Buhari's cluelessness is gonna be in double digit if ever he gets elected.

Sloan:
Some people never reason before they jump to conclusion. Yes the cut off point is low but non-interest in education and a serious, aggressive reduction in the population of states in the north is surely one of the most shameless achievements of the Jonathan presidency. If thousands of people have been killed, mostly the young or weak that cannot flee, or have no money to relocate themselves, what is the point of setting a high cut off mark for students that do not exist?

Practically, the government wants to admit everyone they can find in that state because otherwise, there will be no students to occupy the school anyway. More than 5 months ago, more than 300 girls were kidnapped in a school under the watch of the clueless, corrupt and utterly daf.t presidency of the Otuekwe president. What was his reaction or response for the first 6 weeks or more? Denial. Castigating the students and blaming them for being allowed to be kidnapped. Why should they go to school and leave themself open to be kidnapped? Months later, after public opprobrium, GEJ started making weak moves for which there is less than 0 results to show for the more than an N 1 Tr spent to fight BH. In fact, BH has overwhelmed Jonathan that he never talks about them again and no one pays him any attention when he mouths off his mumbo-jumbo.

So why would anyone want to go to school in those states and what is the use of setting a cut off point for say 10 prospective students when there is space for 50 or 60? Of those 10 some would rather go and school in a private school or in another state of stay at home totally because they know that this government has failed to protect them, their parents and friends who are now most certainly dead or ruined for life.

The question would be why has GEJ not turned Nigeria and those states into a secure state that even if they do not live in the opulence of Aso Rock, the security of their life and property is 100% guaranteed by the government? Jonathan has been president for more than 6 years, VP for about 2 years. What is the trend line of insecurity, terror, official and high corruption? It is going through the roof and has never been worse since the beginning of time. That is the reason why inspite of a cut off of 2, there may still be less than 2 students who will want to attend a school of be in an environment where they are just sitting ducks. They reason: what is the point of going to this school with a cut off of 0 only to be kidnapped and killed before any chance to even finish 2 years of this inept and cluelessly wicked Jonathan!
Sorry I have to quote your long post.
What are you saying? That GEJ does not care about the North? I think you are not being sincere. GEJ has built over 100 Almajiri schools in the North. He has also established Federal Universities in Lafia, Nasarawa state; Kashere, Gombe state, Wukari, Taraba state; Dutsin-Ma, Katsina
state; Dutse, Jigawa state; Gashua, Yobe State; Birnin Kebbi Kebbi State capital and Federal l University Gusau, Zamfara State.
Now tell me, how many Almajiri schools and universities have been estabblished by past leaders in the North?
Honestly, GEJ has done much for the North than the northern leaders. The Northern leaders do not care about the education of the almajiris since they use them asready tools of violence.

In a spate of 4 years, GEJ established over 100 Almajiri schools for the North.

Cut off points (Quota admission) into the 104 Federal Government Colleges “Unity Schools”.
Please, kindly check out the bizarre disparity in cut off points (quota admission) into the 104 Federal Government Colleges (FGCs) aka “Unity Schools”. It was published in January,2013, by the Federal Ministry of Education under the careful supervision of Prof. Ruqayyah Ahmed Rufa’i - a “once upon a time” Minister of Education from the North. Note the disparity between cut off point for southern and northern students.

I learnt that nothing in life is free. You will pay for it some way. Let your secrets be secret for no one is to be trusted except yourself. You may get to the top through godfatherism/mentor but must pay the price.
Office rules and selection of employees to various positions must be critically done. Once in a while as the leader, you've got to do the dirty job to prove to your lieutenants that you are capable and in charge.
So many interesting topics.

Worst book ever written by an ex-president whose performance while in government was a complete failure. No wonder the launch did not attract any president, ex-president or retired military general. It was only Obj and his fellow disgruntled elements that were there. This will surely go into the guinness book of records as the first time in history of the world that an ex-president will launch his autobiography and no president or ex-president (both internal and external) will ignore invitation to attend.
