@ Genius000 absolutely correct!!! Those that can should help them, instead of banishing them from the thread. The thread isn't personal property or is it? Last time I checked it was a PUBLIC forum. God bless your wisdom Genius000: |
OMG!! This is getting totally out of hand. Another GVC applicant I suppose? It is becoming clearer that a lot of people used this GVC guys and they are messing things up big time. Let the house know if GVC helped you. sundaydammy: |

Yes you are right. I explained to the agent and sent him a screenshot from my email showing when it was mentioned by me. Luckily the date and time email was sent was clearly visible for him to see. He accepted to write CIC to explain and take responsibility for the error. I have no choice at this point than to trust him, because he is a member of ICCRC with good standing and cic has been in touch with him throughout my application process. He is a certified agent and his name and RCIC number is clearly visible on the ICCRC website. So I cannot at this point contact CIC directly myself, that will be a breach of contract and honestly CIC may not even respond to me even if I try to go alone on this. Having said that, I think the explanation from him will be sufficient. Afterall cic are the ones who encourage and advice us to use certified agents instead of uncertified ones if we decide to use representation. I doubt if they will punish me with a refusal/ban for somebody's error, should incase they do then they have to punish him too otherwise it won't be fair cuz I didn't fill the forms myself... However I am positive it won't get to that. Thank you for responding Cheers thesoj: |
Dear Gurus on NL I just received a letter from CIC saying I should explain why I didn't disclose my previous US visa refusal in 2014. The thing is I actually did mention it to my agent before this application was submitted but I guess he forgot or something! My agent is in Canada and we mostly communicate via email so maybe just to say he missed it somewhere in one of our email correspondences. Please guys what do you think I should say or do right now? I need to give him feedback asap so he can explain on my behalf. Thank you in advance for your kind responses. No harsh responses please. Cc: MichV Folaroyal Thesoj Any one that can help me with this will be greatly appreciated. Thanks once again my people. |
Very dumb question... Don't u have friends or family or people around you to ask these kind of questions? Why don't you email CIC and ask them? Or you just feel like typing something on nairaland. aubreyr: |

To my fellow comrades... If you are refused for a flimsy reason etcetera, please immediately pursue other options, don't waste time reapplying or be blinded with the secret intention of wanting to remain in Canada. The goal is the education you will receive you can move somewhere else after your study in Canada and live a good life with ur canny education. The process appears to be flawed. I've never experienced such a ridiculous wait time... Like they check ur application properly anyway. Even with ur MSC or any degree acquired abroad. You will live like a boss in naija even if u decide to come back home... My brother works with MTN just cuz e did his MBA Yankee now dude is earning over 700k monthly, we all know what that amount of money monthly can do to ur life here in naija. |
@MichV classic naija behavior. That's life my bro, dem go disturb u taya. The thing is you aren't obliged to help or answer anyone and pls don't ever feel bad if you decide not to answer or help with questions or reviews. Afterall there are countless others youve helped qith answers and reviews previously. Because once trv land dem go bone u like bad habit or come on NL tell u how beautiful Canada is... Meanwhile my biometrics letter showed up last friday and I've finally done biometrics after 7 weeks+. Then there goes a fresh round of waiting for the decesion proper. Sometimes I think the wait time is intentional, do they receive more applications than the UK or US? I've been to the UK over 10 times in the last 5yrs, once to Bahamas and once to Dublin and CIC still ticked travel history as an issue... I don't think those ppl read the applications oooo. I submitted a letter telling them to feel free to refuse any application for PR or Asylum from me. I only intend to study and leave. Abi wetin dem want make person do na, as dem dey Hurd their visa. Hello House... I applied online for study permit after being denied based on purpose of visit only. After my application I got the usual application confirmation and no biometrics request letter and its 6 weeks gone already... But suddenly I received an email from CIC yesterday that I should pay for biometrics... I'm wandering if the rules have changed... Because I know biometrics are almost immediately after an application has been made. Mine took 6weeks before CIC requested I pay for biometrics. I'm thinking if they wanted to refuse my application they could have just done that. No need for biometrics payment again since I have been refused previously. Please house does anyone have anything to say to this or has anyone had a similar experience? @MichV and my very wonderful helpers in the house pls drop a line. Thank you guys.... |
Hello nairalanders... Please please please can someone let me know if I need to give biometrics again on a second online application? I just reapplied and got that normal online application confirmation but no request for biometrics yet. I don't know if they can process my application without biometrics. Someone who knows what I'm talking about should please shed some light on this. Thank you guys |
@wellis142 This is a screenshot of my personal SOA that i submitted with my online application. My agent says its ok... I hope it is. Guys on NL what u think?

Hi Guys, I'm new on NL... An immigration consultant (ICCRC member- Good standing) based in Canada applied for me via online route jan 29, i did my biometric feb1 at VFS. After so much wait... he decided to contact CIC regarding the status of my application and got the response below from this email address : Citizenship_and_Immigration_Canada@cic.gc.ca Sir, Madam, Thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada. I am pleased to follow up on your request: We have verified the information you provided and can confirm that your application is in process. If further information is needed, the responsible office will contact you. He says that a decision won't be long since they have responded to his contact... What do you guys think? I applied for advanced diploma in business administration (Note: no first degree yet... but over 6years of work experience in the same field) Married with a 5 month old son SOA 5.5million (personal account) Landed property (2) Dad's statement of account 2.5million (to support) evidence extensive expertise and work experience etc. I need your comments guys. App was property packaged though. A lawyer based in Canada providing me with a visa support letter. (The lawyer is an active member of the law society in Canada recognised by CIC. This just a brief outlay of what my application looks like. further details later. |
Yea sure,@stephike1 email me at michael.muller46@yahoo.co.uk. Tired of this CIC people. Canada Visa process is confirmed as the most tedious in the world. How can an application for study permit take over 3 months to process? What are they verifying... I think this is gross inefficiency... Other countries like the UK, US and Australia equally have thousands of applications they treat and dont take this long. Does anyone know the process of withdrawing a study permit application? I'm tired of the wait!!! |
