Dear Candidate,

We would like to start by thanking you for your interest in GEMMA. Out of the applications received the GEMMA Selection Committee has proposed three lists to the European Commission: Main List, Reserve list and List of Non-Selected candidates. Candidates have been ranked in order of merit so that Erasmus Mundus scholarships are allocated in that order.

YOU HAVE BEEN INCLUDED ON THE RESERVE LIST.

If any candidate from the Main List rejects the scholarship, this will be offered to the first person available on the Reserve List, according to the order of merits.

You are kindly requested to CHOOSE ONE OF THE FOLLOWING OPTIONS and communicate your choice to GEMMA (gemma@ugr.es) by responding to this email as soon as possible and no later than Friday 27th April 2 pm CET.

1. You ONLY wish to participate in the programme if there is a drop-out from the Main List and an Erasmus Mundus scholarship is offered to you as the next person on the Reserve List. In that case you will only have to send us further documents if and when you are offered the scholarship.

2. You are no longer interested in participating in the GEMMA programme.

3. You are willing to participate in the GEMMA programme as a self-financed student, even if the Erasmus Mundus scholarship is not granted to you (please check the “Scholarships” section on our web page for other funding options (http://masteres.ugr.es/gemma/pages/becas).

IMPORTANT: Please note that, regardless of the option you choose, your position on the Reserve List will not be affected. The lists have already been submitted to the European Commission and no changes will be made to them, unless the Commission decides so or there are drop outs. The ultimate decision regarding the scholarships is made by the European Commission.

If we do not hear from you by the deadline, we will understand that you are no longer interested in participating in GEMMA (option 3)

I just got a mail that i made the Reserve list of GEMMA (Women's and Gender Studies). I hope people drop out on the main list or the European Commission approves everybody on the reserve list for the scholarship. Anyone from Nigeria in this category?

Membrane Engineering Fellas (EM3E-4SW). Anyone received mail from the consortium today. Got into the main list pending EU approval (formality). This is the my second admit. It can only be God...To others waiting, Baba God go do am. Whether na Erasmus or another scholarship....I see y'all hustling from PTDF to Commonwealth to MasterCard and the likes...I repeat, God go do am...

Any tips about Darmstadt? The City, Schooling at TUDarmstadt and Opportunities afterwards.

concerning the dates, since the mail stated that we should select our preferred interview centers within 72 hours, So my best guess is that they will reach out to us after the deadline for acknowledgement. meanwhile those anyone have an idea about the interview

Thank you gbadeolu1. I believe this article should put our speculations to rest. PTDF stated from onset that there would be no sale of scratch card/forms this year. Truly, it was so. We alll accessed the form online for free.

Likewise, there would be no aptitude test for Msc. Your credentials would be graded(Just like FG- BEA. 1st class...2.1 and so on.). One should be able to make a case for your choice of course and institution. So, know your SOP inside out and be able to convince the panel as to why you should be awarded the scholarship.

PhD would also make use of interviews. Their PhD proposal would be key.

We should all wait for the schedule(date and time) of the interview.

This list no fit work, the rule is that awardees from the same country must be <=3. How come 5Paks!!!

That's the provisional list....At the end, only 3 would get in.

And if you know any Nigerian that applied for AMASE and is on the reserve list, let us know the person and his/her ranking oh. A Nigerian is on the main-list, but prefers to attend another E+ program(already selected) as against AMASE.

That's amazing I must admit. Erasmus is sure popular in Asia, Middle East and South America (as partner countries). Most eligible Nigerians don't even know this scholarship exists or let me say they are not well informed.
