Whoops! .. Its been a sweet and wonderful experience here in Dublin this past 6 weeks.. Finally wanna share my my embassy experience and my trip to Dublin, my GNIB and PPS, processing experience. I remembered I started following this thread around September when preparing to make and submit my visa application which was a join spouse visa. I gathered all documents by end of November, 26th 2019 to be precise and headed to the VFS office at Lekki early momo that day.. The process of submission was smooth though except the photocopies I made at 50 naira per page which was so so annoying, so I will advise u guys make all your photocopies before heading to VFS office, those guys there are rogues with no pity at all. After submission, ehen! Embassy palava come start. This is the gist! My wife got a job as a Nurse in Ireland, she left for Ireland July 2018 after a week we got married.. Came visiting me in Nigeria in May 2019 for 4 weeks during her annual leave . So she went back to Ireland pregnant with our boy . So my basis of application was to join her and be with her during her delivery to welcome our son bla bla bla!. My wife was due for delivery, 2nd week in February and and my planned date of departure in my application was January 1st 2020. Haaa! Irish Embassy gave me tough time ooooo.. I called and called and called this people all to be giving me gist my application will take between 6 months and 12 months.. I was like Whaaaat! You mean i won't see my son until he is one or what are you guys saying. The annoying part is you can only call them between 10am-12 noon Mon - Thursday and to get them u will dial over 50 times.. Well, all thanks to my wife she was relentless, she approached her Doctor, Midwife and Social worker.. So they all gave reference letters.. I bombarded the Embassy with the letters via Email.. Still no response as at January 15th 2020. Well i just told my wife this guys ain't forthcoming and not sure we will be together soon. This babe cry ehn! And kept saying let's not accept . The last time she went for her clinic before delivery, her midwife saw how she was all looking not happy and sad, and wrote another letter again oo, this one handwriting sef not even type to send to embassy cos they can't call the embassy to interfere in visa aplication but only write to them.. Na so I forward the letter again to Irish Embassy ooo, and called them again.. But luckily for me there was this pleasant lady that picked my call that day after almost 100 times of dialing before reaching them.. She felt for me and said you know what, I should send another reminder mail instantly, that there is someone in the office presentlythat she will forward the mail to. All this was around January 21st ooo.. I forwarded another reminder mail with faith and hoping to hear from them, I was still informing my wife with what the lady at embassy dey yan and consoling her that will be fine without me there. It wasn't up to 30 mins, just got a mail back from the embassy that my wife GNIB was to expire 22nd January 2020 and i should send her renewed GNIB card as soon as possible ... Told my wife instantly she said ewooooo! She had forgotten her GNIB was expiring in 2 days and booking appointments for GNIB can be war.. At least you have to start checking GNIB site 2 months before your residence permit expires to book for renewal.. To be continued later..... Baby crying 3 Likes |

Bussysmith: Was the Visa application refused? If its refused, that means you didn't satisfy the VO in your application with the type of visa you applied for. 1 Like |

Hi, I need advise how to package my visa application, my wife is a registered nurse presently working in ireland. We thought she will be issued with critical work permit so i can join her immidiately but based on her educational qualification, She got her General work permit in January 2019 and general work permit I have to wait 12 months before I can join her.. She came home visiting me for a month in may and left June. Now we are expecting our first child and would so love to be by herside before she her expected due date.. But still got to chill till January ending before I can initially apply, is there a way I can apply before then and what and what documents do I need to get to back my application. |

I was at the U.S Consular office in Lagos yesterday and was rejected, I noticed so many people were rejected just the oldies were given Visa. below is my transcript. VO: Passport Me : Good morning with a Smile and I passed my passport . VO : Why are you going to New Hampshire Me: Visiting my sister who is schooling there VO: Is she living there Me: Yes VO: Where do you work Me: I work with Lagos State Government as a blah blah blah VO: Are you married Me: Am single VO: what's the duration of your vacation me: 3 weeks VO: Kept typing ooooooo, We are sorrry blah blah passed me the blue paper. In my DS 160 form I filled Rhode Island and New Hampshire as locations am visiting .,my uncle stays in Rhode Island and my sister schools at New Hampshire. But what I think the VO thinks am I might be a redflag is cos New Hampshire is a border state to Canada ,just 1 hour 40mins drive to Montreal, Canada. Gurus in the house what do you think went wrong . |

Please I need advise, filled my DS 160 form already but I haven't made final submission. Though I have an uncle who gave me invitation which I filled as my U. S contact and where I will be staying but I will also be visiting my younger sister who happens to be Masters student at a neighbouring state where my uncle reside. My question is do I need to mention I have a sister where the question, do you have an immediate family member in the U.S .and if I mention I have a sister and will also be visiting her what's my chances of been given the visa or should I just said I don't have any immediate family. Please I need a response asap so I can make final submission of my DS 160 as my appointment date is fast approaching. Am also a Civil servant who happens to be working with Lagos State Government with 2 years working experience. I need advise please |

We collected our appointment letter yesterday after which we were given medical form,Civil service form and we wrote acceptance of offer and submitted. We were asked to submit 3 photocopies of our offer letter to Public Service Office, also asked to make sure we submit the Civil service form latest by end of work today. Medical form should be submitted anytime after duly signed and stamped at any Lagos State General Hospital. Today, we filled another form which i guess it will be used to issue our oracle number, filled our account details et all. We collected our pension certificate and wrote the pin on the form. I heard messages will be rolled out to peeps that havent been called to pick thier offer letter. So stay calm and be prayerful! EKO OnI Baje oooo! 2 Likes |

LexxieleE: It was the first time we went to Alausa for screening i was told to go get d birth attestation and FSLC, so immediately after our interview at PSSDC, Magodo i went to High Court at Ikeja to collect birth affidavit and den proceeded to NPC office at Surulere for the processing. So i had collected the birth attestation before we were called for documentation. Are u cleared now boss! |
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Lastma by jamauldeen: 4:08pm On Apr 18, 2016 |
Nobody was asked to pay a dime, I was part of the first batch that did documentation and i was duly cleared and i wasnt asked to pay a Kobo. It was only when i went to National Population Commission office at Surulere i payed a token of 3kplus for the birth attestation and i was asked to pick it back in 10days time in which i picked. I guess maybe cos of the limited timeframe given to candidate not cleared & subject to birth attestation thats why National Population Commission hiked d price cos of the rush. Rumour mungers please desist from carrying fake news. To candidates that did documentation and cleared . we will be called soon according to what a staff of CSC i spoke with told me. So u guys should just chill and be ready for the training. One love ma people! 1 Like |
