Time to set the records straight about people coming to Nigeria with the will to buy property expecially land.i for one break it down,bar by bar for the prospective client by making it very clear for them.advantages and disadvantages.
Many clients naturally go for cheaper land with their eyes open.shey na monkey dey stay 4 de place wey una wey say dem carry una,abi una drive d whole saturday go?
U need go see the palaces people built in what you people call remote area.like Ogombo,badore,Sango tedo and up at Ibeju to mention a few.what is remote to one person is paradise to another who will rather use the excess money saved from buying at your suppose remote area to build themselves palaces,buy choice cars and invest the remaining.
WHOEVER STOPPED YOU FROM BUYING PROPERTY AT LEKKI 1?

Very good question,lawyer and equally good responses.
Let me make one very clear case;most agents that advertise the properties you guys see on  NL are not quacks or low-lives' as i can deduce from some responses i read(all dis kain indirect yabis wey una dey give us)

A classical case;i have the latest sony camera that video's and can do wonderful things,it is a ten mega-pixel camera.i have taken pictures and you guys will do well to remember my promise that no Estuary sales will come without pictures.
When i try uploading the pictures to the nairaland property page,know what i get greeted with?file size too large.i then minimized the pics,same story.after trying for some time i decided to consult a guy who is regarded as a genius in this things;because of my explanation on phone he brought along his team.no joke.they did all they know and concocted some,same stories.they even proceeded to uploading the minimized pictures at a snail pace of one after the other,no way.what they said finally?Seun have to do something"cos"according to them the fault is not mine and theirs. i, who is not a novice clearly knew that.that it is from Seun's headquarters.
Let's assume i got it all wrong una wey sabi make una borrow me sense cos Seun and him page wey don go crazy nearly give me heart attack!
How come i sent these same pictures from my box to many persons,and they went?

It is not right,once it is not contained in the lease agreement you were presented with at the outset.consult your lawyer as am sure your landlord does not understand how the law applies to situations like this.
People like him usually develope goose pimples at the thought that they will be dragged to court.

Hello there.you may not know that the residents of Ikota and Jakande estates have since receive notice to leave what some thought will be their home for life.
Where do you think they will move to?further up my friend,further up.
You may not also know that the Ogombo that is the solution to most persons owning a home of their own is hyked last week.the land holders seeing that hordes of people are moving in their direction and mostly to them called an "emergency"meet minds and agreed that no one should sell a plot lower than 2.5m. now,this should be news to you.the only situation that bring about price been stable or dropping is when there is no demand.
Barely 2weeks ago i took a client who really want to buy around Ogombo and environ.
Because i"know"how to find the best deals;i got for her a plot for 1020m instead of 1.5m mininum then.and then i gave her advise that is worth more than pure gold as per the land.i told her"buy now that they obviously need the money and save yourself some money or leave it and buy later when this guys have money in their hands and pay more.
She was supposed to discuss it over with "the relevant authourities"in her circle.she hasn't called me still and the prices have gone up.
The price of property in Nigeria will not"crumble"because the global credit CRUNCH does not affect Nigeria as it affect the U.K and the U.S
Our stock market crunch happened because people no longer want to buy and there were many people who were crazy about selling, especially the foreign investors at our Stock market who badly needed to take money to their home countries.
Someone lost over 500m and the foreign investors in a certain bank withdrew four billion dollars to their home country,the U.S
It has never happened in property.
Property business is on the rise.

In case one is wondering:will government just seize their land,the answer is no;there are legal processes by which government is expected to strictly adher to.that does not meean that should you buy a property now for 20m at Obalende.you will leave with what can best be described as peanuts when government comes.
I know of a property that is up for sale for 25m now that is actually worth 35m.those that are in the know want to sale and get out fast like persons running away from a burning forest with good money in their bank account,knowing that they won't get anything close to that should gorvernment meet them there.
