I practice agriculture fishery which in registered under cac after i got marry my wife join me in the business which she start with sales of fish feed (distributor) and smoking of catfish .being the same location of the company and we share the same company to register with the fish feed company .on the ds form i choose agriculture while on her own i choose business Hope it does not mean anything ?

The kind of business I run is every 4 month before I make profit not easy to have a salary Account because the profit is not monthly once we make sales at 4 month we spend the money back on the business and profit is within 4 month .i run one single savings account for my business and personal spending with over 160 pages of statement of account my question is this MUST I HAVE SEPARATE ACCOUNT FOR SALARY BEFORE I CAN APPLY ?

This is a big lesson it has happen to me when I got started with fish farming until I change the feeding method some people will tell you feed twice a day and to saturated if you are not careful you feed a what is suppose to eat for 3 month in a single month and you can't get the weight on the fish within a month .

*Fishes require higher Crude protein to grow bigger at initial stage and less CP at latter stage (which made 2mm feed to be more expensive when compared to 4mm n 6mm feed). Once they grow all the gonads and other features of there body that slows their growth.... Less CP is required but some of we farmers still go ahead to feed high CP all through in the name of compounded feeds
*Fishes needed just 1 or 2 of extruded pellet per meal( the chemical constituents of the feed require thus) additional is just a waste or snacks. [but we need to be sure all of them picks it.... That calls for more input at a time]
*fish farmer with a very good water exchange/ aerator is bound to have 1kg an above in 8 weeks from juveniles. [this proves high dissolve oxygen in water + less feed is what this guys need to grow[practical experience]
*lastly some farmers feed their ponds instead of fishes and we complain of high feed input.

Please more explanation are on all that I wrote above ... We can never say it all

when excessive dietary protein was provided, the excess protein was catabolized into energy, leading to a reduction in feed utilization efficiency. No be book be this my Oga .... Na Practicals .... And we all know say the thirst/ quest for protein rich feeds beyond normal are the cause of our losses in achieving appreciable sizes within shortest period of time.

Summary : when you start you feed high... It gets to a point all you need is feed less with good water exchange to achieve good results.

I use 5 % for starter and 10 % for finisher .Though my suggestion is to get it your self and cook then mix with GNC to make it dry

Start with alller aqua or skretting Durante for the first two (2) month .calculate 0.2 kg for each fish for the first 2 month,for 5000 fish it would be like 66 bags of 2 and 3 mm fish then the fish would be 0.250 and 0.2 then if you have pond sort the fish .then move to local feed by calculate the third month for each fish to eat 0.250 for the third month for 5000 fish will eat 1250kg .then the 4th and 5th month calculate 0.3 for each of them 5000 fish will eat 1500 for 4th and 5th month then repeat with same 1500 for the 6th and 7th month .if you don't calculate the way I explain and you want to feed the fish to satisfaction they might what they are to eat for 2 month in a week.For local feed formular you can check on the pages .
