Ex-boxing weight champion, Bash Ali, who was reportedly assaulted by Nigeria's sports Minister, Solomon Dalung, is seeking N1billion damages from the injury he sustained from the assault which allegedly landed him in the hospital for weeks.



Bash Ali, who filed his complaint at the Abuja High Court, disclosed that Dalung’s aides allegedly beat him up at his office in Abuja about two weeks ago. Other persons dragged into
the lawsuit include; the Inspector-General of Police, Nansel Nimyel, Charles Boga and one Mr. Joseph.

“I was unconscious for about an hour until the Ministry sent for paramedics who then carried me in a stretcher to the Ministry Staff Clinic where I was given first aid treatment.


When they saw that I was in extreme pains, I was immediately transferred to the Emergency Ward of the National Hospital where I stayed for about eight hours before I was rushed to the Trauma Department at National Hospital where I spent two days" he said.

According to the former World Boxing Federation cruiser-weight champion, the lawsuit is reportedly costing him N8M, amidst the shame and humiliation he suffered.

A source close to the Churchill family has described as laughable, claims by Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh that she bought her estranged husband, Olakunle Churchill, the vehicles they were driving.


According to the source, who chose to remain anonymous, Churchill is in possession of the keys and documents of the cars.

“If she really did buy them, she should have taken the keys and receipts when she was leaving. No one knows why she is doing what she is doing. Maybe, she is using their son as bait and as a means to get sympathy from the people on social media,” the source said.


Continuing, the source claimed that the actress wanted her foundation merged with her husband’s Big Church Foundation, but bearing her name.

“That was why, last year, after the Big Church Foundation had organised its work, the Tonto Dikeh Foundation organised its own too. She did that because she wanted the NGOs to be joined together and handed over to her, so that she can use her celebrity status and run the whole show. Churchill, on the other hand, was passionate about the whole thing, as a way to help the masses and did not want it to be hijacked by someone who just wanted it for show,” the source continued.


The source further stated that when things got to a point where Churchill could not condone it any further, she boasted that she would use her overwhelming influence on social media to drag his name to the mud, then rubbish his foundation.

The source also said that there is no truth to the report that Churchill ever assaulted her as he never laid a finger on her.

Recall that since news broke that her marriage has hit the rocks, the actress used the social media to pour her heart, the latest being that her husband infected her with STDs.

Super Eagles head coach, Gernot Rohr has concluded plans to replace captain Mikel Obi with Wilfred Ndidi in the midfield when Nigeria takes on Senegal and Burkina Faso in two highly profile games this month.

Mikel, the captain of the Super Eagles have been granted permission by Rohr to miss the upcoming friendly ties, to allow him settle down at his new club Tianjin Teda of China.

To that effect Ndidi who has in the past replaced Mikel in the Super Eagles midfield during competitive games will be handed a start against Senegal and Burkina Faso.

Ndidi's form for Leicester City has been one of the bright side of a dour 2017 for the Foxes, and he could line up in the midfield alongside Ogenyi Onazi and Oghenekaro Etebo who will play just behind the main striker.

Tonto Dikeh’s estranged husband, Oladunni Churchill, has revealed he remains positive about reconciling with the actress.

A famine has been declared in parts of South Sudan.

This is the first to be announced in any part of the world in six years.

The government and the United Nations report that some 100,000 people are facing starvation, with a million more on the brink of famine.

A combination of civil war and an economic collapse have been blamed.
There have been warnings of famine in Yemen, Somalia and north-eastern Nigeria, but South Sudan is the first to declare one.


The famine is currently affecting parts of to Unity state in South Sudan, but humanitarian groups have warned that the crisis could spread if urgent help is not received.
