RomanceRe: Why are so many African marriages breaking up abroad?. by Janeesa: 10:12pm On Aug 09, 2007
well if men and women werent doin stupid shit like cheatin on their wives/husbands then maybe they wouldnt be getting divorces so much---and i dont think its just in the west like u put it, it could be anywhere! look at all those nigerian men cheating and messing around their wives IN nigeria, i think what you meant when u sed why are so many african marriages breaking up, u should have just put nigerian marriages b/c it seems like all nigerian couples are in a big fat mess.

CultureRe: Nigerian Kids Born In The U.s Going Back To Nigeria by Janeesa(op): 6:40am On Jul 31, 2007
it really is sad isnt it? if nigeria is were u were born and raised why not embrace that and stop tryin to pass for somethin your not.I hate it when i see all these nigerian kids tryin to pass for something they aren't.some come from nigeria, and stay here so long and they SWEAR up and down they are only american! this is what is happening to my mothers friends son.he was born in nigeria and his mom brought him to the US. (idk what age) and since then the boy swears hes not african or nigerian for that matter.he doesnt like african/nigerian girls he thinks they r crispy black and ugly he hates the culture(food, trad.clothes) he really needs help, its sad too-- i mean for a kid BORN in nigeria to turn his back on it.
anyway i'm gettin sidetrack'd a little bit, what my quest. was if nigerian-americans visiting nigeria can be easily spotted by other nigerians and if they
viewed nigerian-american kids as

wow.you sound extremely ignorant stupid.even if u find a lady frm ghana who happens to be beautiful why would they want u?with that dumb ass mentality of urs?
you don't know if thats the same thing others say about nigerian girls so i would keep my mouth shut.besides ghanaian women posess a kind of glow to their skin that i can say no other african woman does, their skin is dark and its very beautiful.i'm not frm ghana so don't acuse me of being biased and just b/c u've seen or maybe heard all ghanaian women were dark doesnt mean all of them are so are fair some are just brown.I know one who is very fair, but that doesnt matter ghanaian women are beautiful!

CultureRe: Nigerian Kids Born In The U.s Going Back To Nigeria by Janeesa(op): 3:13am On Jul 31, 2007
whether the child was raised abroad is irelevant.if the child was born in nigeria they will therefore be more accustomed to everthing there (unless they left real young) but i'm talkin about kids born and raised here in the U.S.i dont see why others in nigeria view them as american or black american.yes we r american by birth but we are also nigerian, we are not totally american or like we don't know where we are from!
RomanceRe: Should I Leave The Girl I Disvirgin For The Girl I Didn't Disvirgin? by Janeesa: 7:01am On Jul 30, 2007

PoliticsRe: 'All Nigerians Are Corrupt', Says Oprah Winfrey by Janeesa: 6:41am On Jul 30, 2007
why do so many nigerians get so surprised when u hear ppl say it? i mean damn so many ppl have been sayin it for the longest not just celebs, i dont even take offense when they say it anymore b/c i hear it too often, true the country is corrupt just like any other country in the world but to pick the country and its people out and say its corrupt is a whole different matter

My cousins don't get embarrased, they could switch accents so fast!so ppl couldnt tell they were americans?

A friend told me that when she went to nigeria(she was born here) everyone just stared at her and ppl could tell
she was frm america, and also her cousins start tryna talk like her, any other nigerian-americans experience this when they go to nigeria?do nigerians in nigeria see amer.born nigerian kids as americans first before nigerians?
CultureRe: Nigerians & Foreign Accents by Janeesa: 10:39pm On Jul 28, 2007
can't stand Nigerians or other Africans that fake American accents. I can understand when you kind of tweek it when your speaking to an America, but not when you try to convince another Nigerian that that's your "normal" relaxed accent. I also can't stand it when full grown Nigerians come to America and return back home with an "American" accent and refuse to drop it because "that is how they naturally speak". when i was in Nigeria, this one guy just came back from da States and all the locals were just amused by his "amazing" American accent. Me and my cousin were so embarrassed for him but it seemed the other folks liked it IMO, i don't think it's easy for a full grown foreigner or Nigerian to live in America and then acquire a completely American accent. It may become lighter than before, but it aint going no where. IMO, i think Nigerians sounder funny when they try to talk in American accent. They be killing it with the R's. lol! they sound better (MUCH BETTER) or at least less funny with their regular accent.

I agree wit u on that one!!!! alot of them come back to nigerian thinkin they r american jus cuz they been in the U.S for 5 yrs and they speak like one, BIG DEAL!!!i personally like a nice polished nigerian accent not when it sounds forced just natural, wth is the big deal wit nigerians and american accents anyway?if you have a nigerian accent and u live in america you are more intresting that way b/c ppl will always want to know where u r frm!
CultureRe: Nigerians & Foreign Accents by Janeesa: 10:30pm On Jul 28, 2007
