Is UKVI IELTS different from normal IELTS?

and how did you go bout registering?

Yes it's different. Google british council find a nearest office to you or register and pay online.
Or you use MOD IDP. They both deliver IELTS

Upload one by one biko. There are categories also that u need to put each. Once u get to the page you'll understand.

Thank you so much. I have another question. You know you have to include history of previous travel and its in my expired passport, do I upload only the data page of the passport or both the page that has the stamps from the previous travel? Thanks

Hi everyone,
Please about to upload my documents to tls, I choose self service because assisted service dates are too far. Do I fix all the documents in one pdf and upload? Or do I have to upload them one by one?

Hello Everyone, my visa is out!! Thank you God and thanks to all who responded to my questions.
Timeline:
Job offer: November 2021, senior care worker
Cos: February 2022
Biometrics: 23 March 2022
Collected passport today.

I have been a silent reader for some time now and I can see that it is not very easy getting a job. I want to share my experience and I hope it can be of help.

I reside in Nigeria and I got this job through networking, basically through a family member in the UK. I do not have a health degree or certification. I was introduced to my employer and one key thing he asked me was if I could drive and I said yes. He basically wanted to know if I genuinely wanted to work as a carer. Afterwards, came the job offer. At that time they had just applied for their sponsorship license. I was asked to submit my passport data page in February and shortly after I was sent my Cos.
I did my TB test, got police clearance and the rest is history.
When it came to visa application I was worried because I didn't have any care certification but my employer told me I would be trained so that was not a problem.

One thing I try to do for all my visa applications is to keep it simple. Hence, documents I submitted are:
Cos, TB cert, Police cert, marriage certificate, UK MSc degree as proof of english, previous visas and travel history. Disclaimer: there are no hard and fast rule to this, submit documents according to your individual circumstances and follow what's on the ukvi website.

Based on my experience one thing I can advice is network, network and network with those you know in the UK, this is one way people get jobs, not just in health care but other sectors.
Secondly I noticed ability to drive is a major criteria, so if you don't know how to drive, you can learn. Although my employer mentioned that wages are higher for those who drive.

I hope my long epistle is helpful, I may not be able to answer all questions, but I will try as much as I can to give answers.

Ok I understand it now. Thanks

The documents required for Visa application is at UKGOV. At no point is WAEC or HND Certificate required for HCA Visa application.

You can still liaise with tomatosauce1 for more information. She just got her visa

Thank you so much

Can they accept IELTS general?

No. Write IELTS for UKVI or BI life skills which is only speaking and listening. But I would advice the UKVI general. Everybody accepts it

lol most pple no be their fault...anxiety and other issues follow. They really want to get and understand the right info. We all don’t have same comprehension capability.

Pls o I want to ask too...I don’t have any educational background on health. In fact I studied English literature in school. Now I want to apply as a carer, though I have gotten three online certifications on caregiving and currently on a volunteer Caregiver in a hospital. Pls I would like to get links to these carer and sponsorship job sites. And pls do I need to sit for ielts as a uk health carer applicant?

Pls anyone? Am I on d right track?

Sign up at indeed.com and always search for jobs with tier2 visa sponsorship. If a job doesn't indicate sponsorship abeg no apply cos u would be wasting your time. Yes just write ur ielts, many employers require it

Hi everyone,
What happens if you already got a job and a CoS without an NVQ 3 certification, just some background working in a care home.
Does the issue of the certification come up with the Visa application?
Urgent response please...

Thanks

To be on the safe side, you can quickly to a diploma in any care course, you can do it online. There are some Uk recognized institutions where you can do them online. I did on alisons, I didn’t pay for the course but after the course you have to pay for the certificate. It took me one week to complete it.
I heard Florence academy is totally free. But I don’t know if they are Uk recognized. So just do any of them. Goodluck.

Good Evening Everyone,

Please I will like to ask if there is any HSC online course that is below 12months.

Also is it advisable that my husband should be the principal applicant?.... Is the adult care job favourable to women or men?

I just want to increase our chances in getting it right.

Thank you

I don’t know how to post on nairaland yet, but I am hoping you would see this.

So there are some Uk recognized online places you can do the Health care course. How fast you finish and take your assessment depends on you. It’s pretty easy . I attached a screenshot where I saw the lists. I only have experience with alisons which is first on the list. So goodluck
