Pengassan: Dangote Refinery sacked 2000 Nigerian workers. Dangote Refinery: No. We only sacked a few. Pengassan: lets know the number you sacked. Dangote Refinery: ??Pengassan: Dangote Refinery employed 2000 Indians to replace sacked Nigerian workers. Dangote Refinery: No. we sacked 2000 Indians and replaced them with Nigerian workers. In some Nigerian traditional settings, you have cheated on him. For a man who is not your husband to grope you around your waist without a sharp rebuke from you means u don commit adultery. If it was discovered by traditional means, say IFA, you have to do some sacrifice to cleanse your husband and children from the consequences. |

Immediately after the Aviation Minister Barr. Festus keyomo slammed a six month ban on Wasiu Ayinde Marshal ( KWAM1) from flying on any Nigerian airport, by what means of transportation did he arrive lagos from Abuja? I want to know and am sure everyone wants to know too. Did he get transported by air to lagos or he came land? It is pertinent to know whether the ban took immediate effect from the day of the incident or after. I come in peace. |
A young lady with a 4 month's old baby among other children, recently lost her husband. Sometime this week, the baby took ill and she took the baby to a Health Center. Lab test revealed that the child had malaria and his PCV level was very low. She was asked to pay 20k for the treatment and was able to raise 10k, which she deposited and was told to pay the balance at the end of treatment. On the third and final day of the treatment, she was able to raise 8k. The nurses collected the 8k and refused to give the baby his last medications. The lady begged and begged , finally leaving in tears. What a world |

It I got his first name, Bismack Rowane always postulate on some government economic policies from time to time. Most of his postulations to my mind are always faulty. How can you say the hike in communication tariffs will bring down inflation. How has fuel subsidy removed improved the economy? How has the hike in electricity tariff improved the economy and other such hikes in services? Sometimes I wonder whether if you are really painstaking in your research. Is it not better to be quite and not say anything than say something and be counted as anti people ie a member of AGIP ( ANY GOVERNMENT IN POWER). Ask yourself, how many Nigerians as at today do have a Personal Disposable Income after all the hefty taxes being heaved on some Nigerians that are on a pantry 70k per month by Tpain the tax collector financial advisers. |
I remember the late Jamaican Reggea icon Peter Tosh's song "only the poor man feels it". Gas gone up Fuel gone up Foodstuff gone up School fees gone up Rents gone up Transport fare gone up Electricity traffic gone UP COT gone up That's the situation we find ourselves in Nigeria today. Suffering and smiling according to our great Fela Kuti. The CFA Franc is now greater than the Naira. The Naira is among the weakest currencies in Africa today. The number of people calling their relatives everyday for help is something else. No respite in sight. The previous Administration chastised Nigerians with whips but we are now being chastised with snakes and scorpions. Idris Abdulkarim sang 'Nigeria jaga jaga' he was scolded for singing the song. Has Nigeria improved? Unemployment is everywhere. Foreign companies are selling their stakes in Nigeria and leaving. Start something no matter how small. Good advice. How do u start when you have no capital. Pray. Have you forgotten how to pray? Yes we are praying and still pray. We got to find a solution to this pollution!!! |
I think Kemi Badenoch is trying to fan the ember of ethnicity in Nigeria. A woman who has no respect for Northern Nigeria, how then are you sure she has respect for other ethnic nationalities in Nigeria. Her body language is directly or indirectly saying the Yorubas should imitate her to polarise the country. Thank goodness there are alot of Yorubas who are wiser and can see beyond her facade. |
Who would save commuters and the people living around Ajah and environs from Agberos and miscreants? These agberos and miscreants have become a law unto themselves. They dictate transport fares. Transport fare from Ajah to any part of lagos is the costliest. These agberos and miscreants have constituted themselves to nusiance to both traders and passerbys. They whole of Ajah bus station or stop has become something else. One has to keep his eyes wide open in order not be robbed in broad day light not to talk of night time. Can the government of the day kindly intervene and sanitize Ajah and environs? |
WHERE ARE NIGERIAN RELIGIOUS LEADERS?. The Catholic Priests are lending their voices to the debates. They are not keeping quite but taking sides with the people and the Nigerian workers against the government that says it can't pay a living wage but 60k. They are not keeping quite against the oppression in Nigeria. They are the most vocal of all religious leaders in the land. What about the Penticostal GOs? Are they not in Nigeria? Is it because it is not about tithes and offerings that they have lost their voices? This is the time to side with the people. This is the time to stand tall and be counted. What about our Muslim sheikhs , Imams and Mullahs? The people are hungry and fighting for their rights yet you refused to be counted with the people. You act as if you are not in the land called Nigeria. You keep deafening silence. God has placed you religious leaders in a position not only to feed the people spiritually but to stand against the oppressors, denying them of their rights to a living wage and every oppressive tendencies of government. Don't tell them to go and pray. They have prayed enough. |
A government that takes delight in extorting its populace. A government that delights in seeing the populace cry A government that enjoys the groaning of his populace A government that takes pleasure in seeing its populace gnash their teeth. A government of deceit and lies. A government of policy inconsistencies. A government of the deaf and dumb

It is with utmost disguist and pain to note that holders of ISPON Certifications in HSE in Nigeria don't get recognition as practitioners in the employment market. Employers of labour in the country would rather prefer candidates with NEBOSH IGC and other foreign Certifications. Institute of Safety Professionals of Nigeria (ISPON) was established by ISPON ACT 2014. It is charged withe duty of conducting examinations and award certificates and diplomas in the areas of safety management. It is the only body in Nigeria that advises employers on matters relating to qualifications for the practice of safety in Nigeria among others. It is like saying ACCA is preferred to ICAN or foreign university degrees are better than those of Nigerian universities. There is nothing wrong in getting other foreign professional qualifications in Safety in Nigeria but they should be secondary to ISPON than giving them undue preference over ISPON. The Institute must live up to its responsibilities of sensitising employers of labour and other Stakeholders of the preference of ISPON over foreign Certifications in Nigeria. Nigeria holders of ISPON Certifications cannot continue to suffer employment discrimination in Nigeria. Or better still, we should all dump our ISPON Certifications and get on the bandwagon of foreign Certifications. |
I don't like Omokri neither do I dis like him too. Some of his write-ups I do agree with whereas some I don't agree with. Having said that, can Omokri enlighten me on what factories or industries he has personally set up in Nigeria to help employ teeming unemployed Nigerians to help put food on their table? Is not enough to keep propounding theories without concrete plans to bring them to fruition. Dear Omokri, kindly live by example. Whether Nigeria gets a donation of wheat from Ukraine or Russian is not the issue but the issue is that Nigerians shouldn't eat from the garbage cans. |

Is it true that Nigerian crude oil has been sold upfront by the previous government. According to Journalist Ude "a one year crude oil production of about 468million barrels worth $32.7billion at $70 per barrel and never remitted into the Federation Account". How did it happen? Who are the people responsible? Why the deafening silence? |
Has anyone noticed lately the unbecoming attitude of agberos in lagos? They are the Lords of parks and garages. Commercial vehicle drivers are not as powerful as they are. They fix transport fare arbitrarily. Commuters are at their mercy. All over lagos, they are there e.g. Oshodi, Obalende, Ajah, Iyanaworo etc. They are one of causes of high transport fare in lagos metropolis. Government BRT buses are never always there. Are they indirectly working for lagos state Government? Why is the government keeping a blind eye to their activities and the untold hardship in terms of transport fare commuter suffer in their hands. Is it not time some something is done about this nuisance? |
How can you declare sometime that toll has never been collected on free? I remembered the residents of Lekki/Ajah once resisted toll collection some years back then Fashola government brought in the mobile police to tear gas the peaceful demonstration of the people. Nice one that Gov Ambode, is not towing the last government inglorious past. |
When online social media were attributing all kind of stories to GEJ, ( mostly figments of their imagination), was it not APC and their lairs that hiped such purported statements to their advantage? Now, the cane wey them take flog first wife, dem don use am flog new wife. Such is life. |
Soja go soja come. Amaechi is gone, another loquacious and garrulous one has come. Firing from all cylinders without an iota of evidence to back it up. |
