She might not necessarily be a side-chick but an ordinary fishmonger willing to satisfy the needs of her customer .

And as for the lady who refused cooking pepper soup all in the name of "being tired ",...hehehe. She should plan for retirement because her substitute is coming speedily grin

Which of the micro tasks? Freelance writing is no longer paying due to AI writing tools.
There were a host of them. I would have given you the site but the mods/bots on this forum won't allow me post them . Dm me

I was once like this so I am probably in the best position to answer :

Before landing my first job, I would do micro tasks , teach and even take on freelance writing. It wasn't paying much but it covered my shame while searching for a job . Hope this helps

It was not a matter of WMDs but Saddam thinking he is sovereign to do anyhow. Nobody is sovereign to do anyhow. Pakistan is a Muslim country more fundamental than Iraq and they have wmds however they are under control and are not sovereign to do anyhow. If you say a mad man should be free to do what he pleases with his mother's corpse, be reminded that he may opt to roast and eat it! And that would be an eyesore. Nobody is sovereign to do anyhow
So the genocide of the Palestinians is right abi ? Why are you playing stupid when it comes to International politics? Or are you among those begging the US for green card ....?undecided

English can be said to be a German dialect which has taken a lot of loan words from French and etc and yet German and English can not share up to that number of words because that is almost all the words in the dictionary
Read up on the history of the English language please .

If not for his invasion of Iraq after the bombing of the WTC to show that no nation is sovereign to harbor or support terrorists, I believe the world today would have been destroyed by Islamic jihadists
That is a lie . Where were the weapons of mass destruction that Iraq was harboring? Or what about Libya? What about Afganistan...? All those countries are in shambles all because of American imperialism. I just thank God for Russia and China who are standing up to the nonsense of America

3000 words is basically the same language. Which of the Hebrew languages is Efik similar to?. We have ancient Egyptian, Phoenician, Aramaic which Jesus spoke, Yiddish etc.
Three thousand words is not basically the same language oga , because that is like saying German is English . And besides, Jesus spoke only aramic, because Israel at that time was in captivity . As for the words which are in Hebrew , look for the book called : The Efiks and her neighbors: a historical perspective. You will get the answers to your questions there .

There is no proof that the yorubas are anywhere close to the Israelites , and from research , the only tribe in Nigeria that may probably have claims to this are the Cross Riverians and some eastern tribes that have similar cultural practices.

In fact, it has been recorded that the Efiks in particular , have over 3000 words that have the exact same meaning in Hebrew

A woman is just a breeding tool that should be handle with caution. And remember , 80% of divorces cases are always instigated by women, and society will always reward women for breaking the marital contract. Be wise kings

Since its not known who or how God came about. It will also make sense to say God existed by chance or mistake.

If you dont agree with me, den who created God?
No one created God because God is outside creation . Secondly , why do you think God was created ? Or must everything that has a beginning have an end ? undecided

you are jumping into conclusions ... I am not an atheist ... I just don't believe in religion becasue I believe religion is a tool used to control. I just found out something recently, the king James version of the bible is named after king James who was a documented homosexual... Don't take my word for it just do some research. Even the bible said people perish for lack of understanding.
Pedophilia has nothing to do with the existence of the bible and , neither does it define what is true and factual

Okay, now back to the question:

If the bible says God created the universe , wouldn't that make more sense than assuming the whole of existence happened by chance and mistake?

That's not what I'm saying. I'm saying many of us that have gotten to where we are, aren't fully clear about what path we are following sef. Ma y have less than 5-7 years experience working professional remote roles. I will be an example, I started of learning my current role exclusively relying on YouTube. A 21 chapter playlist I listened to and executed the task step by step. I've shared this resource on here. And no one, not one person has reached out to say please can you help me explain this or that from the playlist. I personally trained one person step by step in the middle of juggling two jobs. And the person literally told me to find a job for him. I linked him up with a handful of Upwork freelance jobs and ended up executing the jobs myself. My point? A lot of these people who are looking for mentors are looking for free teachers to spoon feed them, get job for them and then work the job for them.
Tor...no wahala. It is well

Now you helping in the little way you can and several other people helping in the little way they can isn't that what most people here are doing? Many so-called "gurus" here stumbled their way into tech driven by hunger. Many never had a career plan and are only just feeling their way through the field. I stumbled my way into my current field driven by a job loss. And I am only blindly feeling my way through. So to lay accusations that people aren't sharing information is completely unfair. I remember on a thread here were someone developed a point of sale software and I pointed them to open source solutions they can look at to get ideas how to build and strengthen their solutions and was rebuffed. Many people looking for "mentors" here are looking for free teachers. Qtguru has a slack channel were he tries to provide some kind of training. Howany of these mentees are there? He has had a couple of webinars and turnout has been less than stellar. And he still does it whether turnout is one or five. I've never met him and we've it ever talked via his webinars so I'm not ass-licking (as you seem to quickly throw around when someone supports someone else here). In fact when I get on his webinars he can tell I'm an old school programmer because of the languages I talk about. But I join intermittently to see what the young guns are up to. And it's only the real die hard that have been on his webinars. Like I always say, a mentee needs to show considerable initiative for a mentor to want to take up that responsibility.
...so going by your analogy, you believe it makes sense to see others follow the same struggling path you used to get to where you currently are right now ...right?

not to sound offensive, but that's not realistic, look at the economy, you think your average dev is going to forgo his time out of humility just to help out of the goodness of their heart. You must be a better man.

I completely OBJECT to this. Take TOTAL objection at “It’s a Nigerian thing to be selfish”. There are many of us Nigerians who are very very liberal with information. Damned liberal. When i became active on this sub, I used to regularly download and send learning materials running into several tens of Gigs to people across Nigeria. Exclusively at my cost. I bought the flash drives, I used my internet to download. I paid for delivery. In fact none of the people I sent stuff to ever knew my real name. And there are many people like that in Nigeria. The problem is Nigerians feel very entitled! The other day I pointed someone towards job openings on crossover.com. Next thing I got was that I should come and write the exams for them. I hope this isn’t Jarushub though, because I will be totally disappointed if it is. People will only mentor people if they have a good relationship with them and if the mentee has shown great initiative. Otherwise, you will be pointed to YouTube, your so called “white peoples” solution
I don't understand why you're throwing emotional tantrums over what is obvious
, except you're in denial.

Secondly , you generalizing and saying that many Nigerians are into the same information sharing pool as you isn't true , I say this because, I visit this section to see lots of struggling people not knowing what to do ...and rarely comment on this.

In fact , I hardly comment on this section, but if I do, it's for very valid reasons that have been lingering on for far too long .

Lastly , it's not an entitlement mentality to ask for mentorship (aka hand-holding) ...especially if the intrested persons are willing to put in the effort. Little things like the basics of a tech career or roadmaps into the latest technologies should be littering the place, but hardly would you see this .

This is my observation and it will help if each and everyone here (including myself ) changed this attitude, so that it would be easier for us as a nation to churn out the next generation of programmers who would be better equipped to start a tech career instead of just meandering on in the halls of YouTube for things we could easily have mentored them on
