The other night, while returning from a mall. My friend shouted at the officers trying to drag okada men who weren't even on the expressway to detain them.

The officers come dragging my car door to forcefully drag my friend out of the car to arrest him for speaking up.

The power given to them from the constitution should be limited and we need state policing as well.

My cousin who's a regular loan shark customer left the country last year. He was owing many loan apps and he sold their father's property willed to him and his younger brother and fled.

Do you think that workers will seek for a higher pay, if their monthly salaries would carter for their monthly needs?

For instance, a worker warning 30k bought a bag of rice for 30k as at 2019 and still earning 30k but can't afford the same bag of rice anymore this year.

A worker who used to spend 15k for monthly transportation to work is now spending 40k while still earning 30k as salary.

A worker who's expected to look clean and decent with their outfit wouldn't be able to afford electricity tariff anymore as there is hike in the bills.


But you want the workers to labour and be collecting peanuts while government officials steal millions and there's no inflation or damaged economy.

How can this be a news from punch?

I hope you know that this very administration have removed subsidy in almost everything...

From fuel to electricity down to tuition fees.

Meaning, the FG is now controlling it's funds and because of this, we have inflation causing high increase on almost everything. This has affected lots of businesses as well....

To balance this up, the government should cut down from it's expenses... Reduce politicians salaries. Increase workers pay.... And balance all salary structure across the country...

You know that the organised labour only want something reasonable from the government.

I don't think I will have time to cultivate rice or cassava.... But I'd really love to practice farming in a large scale. Especially rice farming.

I served under a Katsina director who was a rice farmer and he'd harvest and sell thousands of bags of processed rice and would just buy a new car every year.

There's money in rice farming.
