Obedinho130: that snapdragon 720G( with 8nm process) is higly energy efficient, the phone is on my list. The device is a mad one. The only issue I have is that it seems like my device display is a bit defective. And that's just saddening most times. |

shedo4sure: swears!!! See my SOT. The battery becomes stable from 95% sha. I noticed this on my 9s too. It only happens when I quickly unplug the phone on the battery clocking 100. But if a leave it charging at 100 for like say, an extra 20 mins, it then takes a whole 30 minutes to get out of 100, and averages at 8 to 9 minutes per 1% drop on normal usage. |

festwiz: I think you got your hands on a defective unit. Damn. You can try the services & feedback app and see what can be done about it. Sorry man. Funny enough, I was warned by some on here about this. I think I should "lol". I will go to Raya care when I'm in Lagos. Hopefully there's an easy solution to this mess. |

genius43: Hmmm. It might be a defective unit. If you are in Lagos you can take it to their service center at Raya and complain. Go with your Jumia Receipt.
I hope you bought from official Store on Jumia. Thanks! Yes, I did get it from the official jumia store, Raya stores I think. I'd be in Lagos in two weeks. This is really sad. |

genius43: I want to understand something did it start right from when you got it? from the way it seems, I think it did, but i apparently didn't really pay attention then, i thought it was some auto brightness shii, and that was when i first noticed it on the music player. i talked about it earlier here and everyone said it was cause of the miui12 update, when i updated to the latest software, the anomaly was still there. and i notice it more now on every screen page. its haunting, it really is. and I've elapsed the 7 days jumia return timeframe. |

Danielbobosky: My device is RN7. None for now
Yes, it was or maybe because I wasn't using the dark mode. I only noticed it the moment I decided to have a feel of the dark mode feature on MIUI 12 mehn.... Mine flickers with or without dark mode, its just more pronounced on the dark mode stuff, and the new update didn't fix that bug either. |
Phones › Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by JasonSleek(m): 11:24am On Nov 14, 2020 |
Danielbobosky: It will fade away with time I really hope so.... Cause I just updated now and it still feels like the screen backlight is shakey.... Or it's just my eyes playing on me still... I'd keep monitoring it.... |

youre saying your stuff was okay before miui 12?? Danielbobosky: I am also experiencing this and that was after updating to MIUI 12 and decided to try out the dark mode fearure. It's very annoying because you'll get the feeling that your screen has developed fault I've already turned off the dark mode and everything seems fine.
It's not really that noticeable not until you look closely so I get why some people won't notice. Turn off dark mode, that should fix it for the meantime till xiaomi release a subsequent update. |

genius43: What app were you using? I first noticed it on my mi music player in dark mode a few days ago, now it seems like it's everywhere, probably hardware..... It's not pronounced, normally you'd have to look really closely to see it, but a person like me, easily notices it all the time, even right now as I type, and whole thing is just slightly upsetting now. |

Who else is noticing a slight screen flickering on black pages like music and xender in dark mode.
More noticeable in dark rooms. Or it's just me?
Seems like a software glitch or something, cause other black screen apps don't flicker.
