First, you need to write down your NYSC camp name, state, and date at the top right corner of the paper.

Then give a line spacing and start writing at the left corner of the paper by writing down the director general's (DG) details in Abuja, followed by writing the state coordinators information just below the director general's.

You can then give line spacing and write “Dear Sir” or “Sir” at the left corner below the director general's and state coordinator’s information.

Now you can give another double line spacing and start from the middle of the two corners of the foolscap sheet by providing the heading of the reasons why you are writing. For example, if you are applying for relocation, you can use the below headings in the middle of the two (2) corners of the foolscap sheet by writing:

APPLICATION FOR RELOCATION

Then start your letter by writing ”I” and providing your full names as they are in your NYSC details. Provide your “NYSC state code” and “NYSC's call-up letter numbers.” Then provide the information of the state you want to relocate from and the state you wish to relocate to. 

Then provide the reasons why you wish to relocate, either on “health grounds,” “marital grounds,” or “security reasons.”

And write, “In view of the above reasons, I hope my request will be given adequate consideration.”

Now give a space and go down to the bottom right of the space and write your name, signature, state code, and phone number (if necessary).
