The record is good and the fact is it that him and ROnnie will still outscore 80+goals in UCL

However what we cant take from Raul is that all his goals were scored from open play..

71 goals ---No penalties

Respect!
Nothing special about his. He was a Top 9, neither ronaldo nor messi has that luxury. Also, He acheived his with more games. Most importantly, the reason he wasn't taking penalties was because he wasn't a good penalty taker.

again you're wrong. june 2013, barca just won the league with 100 points.
-messi was top scorer in la liga
-messi was top scorer in europe
-messi just scored consecutively against all league opponents
-messi rescued us from the bench against psg
-messi led the demolision of ac milan with 2 superb goals
-then came injuries. messi had 4 injuries in 2013.
-then came tax problems
-last season barca came second in the league only because the referee disallowed messi's correct winner against athletico madrid, the same MESSI.
-then came the fifa world cup, golden ball or no golden ball, messi was among the best 3 players.
all these you call downward trail? anyway. i have taken you down memery lane. messi achieved all the above mentioned after you campaigned for us to sell him sometime in early 2013. so mr philfearon, ur criticism of messi is not constructive, you hate the man. 'barcelona fan'
Messi is only a victim of his own standard. Still one of the top assisters this year, one of the top scorers this year and one of the best players (the best?) in the world cup and yet fans are still calling for his head.

lol, i understand everyone is angry, but lets cut them some slack. this is the same messi we were all praising in the first 7 or 8 games of the seaon when he was getting assists left, right and center. about 9 assists in 9 games and we all said he was great having to drop back and for the sake of the team was giving assists to neymar, munir, sandro etc. the same messi we now accuse of being greedy and that the team is playing for him? this is the same barca we were all praising early on when we were 5 or 6 points clear at the top. now everyone is drawing their daggers? as long as the boys are committed , this team will excel. we shall see!
I thought i was the only one thinking in this line. Messi is literally sacrificing himself for the team by dropping so deep into the midfield because our midfielders lack the flair they used to have. He rarely has a 1-on-1 shot at goal this days because of this and we are here throwing stones at him and calling for his head, it's not fair.

I think we should cut Lucho and the team some slack, it's not as if they are not giving their all, they are trying, Lucho is still young and certainly not in Pep's pedigree, the team would improve. My problem with Barca this season is that they lack a keyman up front, it used to be Messi but since the start of this season it has been literally nobody so that's why as some of you pointed out they get the ball and almost sub consciously pass to messi even if he is in a wrong position to receive that pass. Messi is now playing more as a midfielder and there is no way he is in any position to lead our attack again. We have suarez, why not give him the duty, i think he is capable of doing just fine in that role. For crying out loud, you don't spend so much on a player as talented as him and play him on the wing to accomodate Messi, someone who is playing from the midfield and trailed by atleast two defenders at any point in the game.

Give Lucho some time, there is so much pressure on him. Things would improve.

d0n't drink water while eating..it washes away your saliva which aids in the digesting of the food you eat thus leading to incomplete digestion and bloated stomach..it is one of the reasons why people are pot-bellied.........simply wait till after your meal before taking any liquid
I can't seem to be able to do this. I can't take in a couple of spoons and not take in water, any idea why? But i disagree with you on the bloated stomach part, my stomach is as flat as flat can be grin

Yeah i am using Microsoft Assembler. I have included the file and i am getting another error but i think this one has to do with the structure of my code before invoking dwtoa and StdOut. Please can i get a simple code snippet that prints out the value of any register? Lets say cx register, a code i would be able to assemble and run so i can see where i went wrong.

include this file to the asm file:

please how? Sorry if my questions are too many or too silly. Assembly language is just one hell of a language.

Thanks but i am getting an 'undefiened symbol' compile assemble time error for both 'dwtoa' and 'StdOut'. Aren't they supposed to be declared somewhere?

That seems to be really difficult to do using dos-asm api but if you are working with win32 asm all u have to do is call the console output routine after pushing the value of the intended register unto the stack as parameter
I am using masm32. How can i do this?

I expected it to run when I saw your code, assume it to be default increament on the 32-bit register since the syntax for inc is:

INC operand
Thesame way INC [Count] will run to cause increament in the count variable
Thanks.

BlueMagnificent:
If the code worked as u expected it to then the os definitely must have initialized the bx register to 0 though its usually advised to initialize ur registers (general purpose registers) before using them to avoid undefined behaviour.
Check this link for a brief info stackoverflow.com/questions/9147455/what-is-default-register-state-when-program-launches-asm-linux
Thanks for this, it really helped.

Another question.

How can i check the values of all my registers at run time? How can i print to console?

e.g

mov ax, 6
mov cx, 5
mov bx, 6
add ax, bx

How can i display the values of all this registers to console?

I know how to use

mov dl, 'x'
mov ah, 02h
int 21h

to print characters

and also how to use

lea dx, string
mov ah, 09h
int 21h

to print strings, but i can't get them to print values of my registers.

From my rusty knowledge of AL, The inc instruction will increase any operand by 1..depending on if you got the complete code or not where bx register was assigned a value somewhere
I know exactly what Inc does. The issue is that in the code nothing is assigned to bx before it is incremented but yet the code still works.
ProgrammingRe: Any Assembly Language Programmer Here? by Javanian(op): 2:07pm On Oct 14, 2014

nodata segment
db ?
nodata ends
text segment
assume cs:text, ds:nodata
mov ax, seg nodata
mov ds, ax
inc bx
mov cx, bx
push bx

This is a code snippet culled from a program. I didn't paste the complete code. Please at line 9, what is the value of bx before and after 'inc bx' is called? Does it mean the bx register is given some default value by the operating system or is it by the programmer?

I've not seen Fortran used anywhere. I'm quite alright ignorant when it comes to fortran matters. your post is what we were told when I took Fortran in school (scientific stuffs). I really don't see what it is being used for. Even in hardware programming people use c or assembly mostly. mind educating me about what Fortran is being used for?
Finally, someone that wants to learn.

I created a thread on it a few weeks back.

https://www.nairaland.com/1916479/what-favorite-language-numerical-analysis

Fortran is the fastest language for numerical computation, yes, it beats even the mighty C at this. Few days back, i tried writing a program to compute Gauss Jacobi iterative sequence in both fortran and C. The fortran result was simply stellar when compared to that of C. Also, i achieved it in far fewer lines of code. No language has better libraries for numerical computation than fortran, it is only rivaled by Python's SciPy and an of course a lot of other libraries in C. Yeah, it is probably not used in 'Production Code' but to say it is 'obsolete' is wrong. It it still very much used.

On a side note, Fortran is used in computationally intensive areas such as numerical weather prediction, finite element analysis, computational fluid dynamics, computational physics and computational chemistry. It is one of the most popular languages in the area of high-performance computing and is the language used for programs that benchmark and rank the world's fastest supercomputers. (Wikipedia)

Fortran remains the most used and best language for Scientfic computation, I expect scientist to understand. Also the fastest high level language.
