How come no one is singing praises of Gerard Pique? He has been 5 star in our last 5 games. Man of the match in last two if you ask me.

Everyone has his bad days, today was his. He was great in all his other Classico's and has not disappointed in any big game this season. Please cut the boy some slack.

Nah just a few easy courses i can just zoom into school, write and leave(Maybe 2 per semester)

Uniben? Which department? And were you allowed to drop only final year courses? What about 200 and 300? Also, how did you facilitate the dropping of courses?

LMAO Nice one grin grin grin

But I don't think it is non deterministic, I beleive non determinism means multiple possible transitions/outputs on a particular input. It doesn't make it random.

Programming / Re: Are There Programmers With CS Degree But Can't Code? by Javanian: 7:32am On Feb 01, 2015

So bad. Are there books on programming by any Nigeria Lecturer?

Yes, a whole lot of them, but don't expect to download them free online.

Aybee92:
so aside programming wat can som1 wit a CS degree do?

System analysis and design
Database Management Systems
Networking
Operation Research
Digital Computer Design
etc.

CS != Programming.

Fulaman198:

With that said, everyone with a CS degree should have some understanding of programming in at least 1 language.

What are the components of computer?

Hardware
Software
Userware

computer science is like moving a mouse on the table, so simple. Just be serious.

You must be out of your mind.
Programming / Re: Is There A Limit To How Far One Can Go In Programming Without Mathematics? by Javanian: 5:03pm On Jan 01, 2015
Valon4ego:
I know any body can learn programming, am just curious to know whether there's a limitation somewhere without proper knowledge of some areas in mathematics. Someone mentioned something about smart card programming needing good knowledge of binaries, sometime ago. that's what I was talking about

There is a limit. I talked earnestly on this sometime ago. You can check this thread.

www.nairaland.com/1566655/dont-need-math

Mathematics is the lifeline of Computer science. A lot of CS theories and Algorithms are based on mathematics, some were even created by Mathematicians. But this isn't meant to discourage you, if you have the guts to learn Programming, I don't see why Maths should be much of a big deal. If you eventually get to a point were you need understanding of a maths concept in your Programming work, you can always learn, resources are aboud the web. Suffice to say, most programmers don't usually get to this stage, so you probably wouldn't as most of the Maths needed in the business world have already been abstracted.

Education / Re: Can One Enter University Without Secondary School ? by Javanian: 3:26pm On Jan 01, 2015

So the university will not need info on secondary school if there is GCE. And employers have no need for secondary school cert if there is university degree ?

No University or employer cares about the Secondary school you attended as long as you are able to get the required credits in your GCE. In cases like this, the end justifies the means.

Good luck!

If the research is published in international journals and you know the full name of the author or title of the article..then you can state it here. I have full subscription to most journals (85%) and i can get the full text for you and email you downloaded copy free!

Thanks. Their names are Prof E.A. Onibere and Prof Stella Chinye Chiemeke (Mrs). They are both Professors at Uniben. Thanks a lot. My email is kingsolo4u[@]gmail.com.

Some of them published their work on international database like emerald but you have to pay for subscription. If the topic you are interested in is related to Nigeria just google it, I'm sure you will find something.

Thanks. I am trying to contact some of them in my school for something regards to their research but I feel I would look silly if I don't know in detail what their current research is about. So i want to know if there is anywhere in particular I can find them.

Please, to those that did/are doing their Ph.D in a Nigerian University, how can I find current research work done by a certain Professor?
