cabali:comments is not a thing like u are thinking, its actually abstract(if u know what abstract means) |
@cabali if ur idea of humor is name-calling, then i reserve my comments |
cabali:can u tell me one thing dt's amusing you? @ex thanks. You can keep on with ur show of words. It only proves one thing to me. You are not worth my time. |
@ex_Inferis are you talking about the Australian fish because I'm allergic to bullshit. ![]() On a more serious note, I dont think it has come to that. I mean you dont have to call me that. |
He sure understands I know, and I am sure if another was to manage that code he will sure be looking for success in an error bag! |
cabali:You still dont av a clue I am doing this for the search man, I am doing it for google ![]() |
u dont get it? why would you write an API like that. onSuccess retunr success, on error return error. wtf is an error occured. description of the error, no error. go to a doctor, he said u are sick. oh doc, whats the nature of my sickeness, he replied YOU ARE SICK OF "NO SICKENESS" now thats awesome isnt it?? |
@tex thanks for mentioning the computer village, I dont like mentioning names. the guy fried his iPhone @ the computer village @every1 you guys should begin to think str8. no apologies. people who buy iPhone dont come to nairaland, people who come to nairaland think they can unlock the iPhone, people who buys iPhone first go to computer village. They got their iPhones fried and then they meet a friend who says, i hear you can unlock it yourself. then they go to google and google turns up all kind of results, and then they start to think they can figure it out themselves. but they are busy and after a while they give up. thats where guys like me show up. I am a programmer, I have the time to know that the iPhone 3G unlock software by iPhone Dev was released on 1st of January, I can read TechCrunch, reddit, CNET etc. and so he brought it to me Like a wizard that I truly am, I sit on my laptop, conjure some incantations on my terminal, tell him to put his sim inside and blam! his iPhone is unlocked. He cares wot not I got the software for free, he is full of thanks. So u say I am wrong if I charge him ![]() I am a programmer. python is open source, but all the apps I develop using python are commercial. why dont u sue me for that ![]() Google built gPhone on open source standards, phone is sold, go ahead and call google criminal!! a beg leave tory for market women NB: I aint married yet, and gat no eggs. |
I was using firebug to peek into facebook today, and what I saw stunned me. I saw this as a response to one of their a million and one ajax posts response = {error: 0, errorSummary: "", errorDescription: "No error.", errorIsWarning: false, payload : [], onload: ["setCookie(\"made_write_conn\", \"1232098415\", 20000);"]}; /* !eval(new String('response = ('+safeResponse+') ) */Now the untrained eye wont see the catch, and the slow mind might take a second to come to speed with it, but the programmer mind in me saw it immediately like this Error errorNumber: 0 errorSummary: errorDescription: No error Now if that's funny |
This is getting more interesting than I tot Just unlocked an iPhone 3G dat some dude has previously fried. It took the dude 3days and 30K to fry the iPhone. For those who are interested I will be lunching at Tantalizers Allen Junction btw 12 and 1pm today(spending my easy earned dough) ha ha ha ![]() naijafan:You just lost loopylove:nice info, but google(iphone unlock) turns up more results. How many people can take that info and turn it into good ![]() plus why offer for free what you can offer for a fee ![]() cabali:Please dont stop posting those links, it only makes my clients more confused, and me more important naijafan:I'll have gladly accepted the money, but I am smarter than wasting precious 5mins reading that. For those who are interested, the best source for iPhone hacks is iPhone Dev. All others are imitation. |
Ex Inferis:IBM, Oracle, Microsoft(Vista Ships with Java), Nokia, SonyEricsson, MySQL, the list goes on and on(and these are the big names oooo) Ex Inferis:, say what? say what? anything can happen. |
texazzpete:I cant help but laugh at this, nicely done. texazzpete:U can bet I do. dragnet:You dont have to! |
u guys are pathetic. Just got a call from someone who claims to have read this post and he was asking to see me personally, wonder why he wants to, maybe its even cabali, or tex, or logical. The person drops off when I asked him his name on nairaland. Well for those who think I have no client yet, yes you are right, I have no client yet from nairaland, maybe u guys are too smart to own an iPhone! And for those who will try to reply trying to be funny?? Thanks I appreciate it, its part of the advertisement, at least you make the post get first ten places on the forum. ciao |
well I think u are so knowledgable about the iPhone, wen my first client come I will bring the phone to u to unlock for free, if you giv me ur number I go even direct those wu cant pay 10K to u. WARNING: Except you definitely know what you are doing, do not FRY your iPhone in d name of u can do it urself. 30K cant buy a new one, so if u use 1/3 or even 2/3 of that to unlock it risk-free I say u do. And if u ask me, never giv ur iPhone to someone wu says he can do it for free, he just want to use ur iPhone to practice. and he fries it(like someone actually did) he is not liable to you, at least u didnt pay right ![]() True there are softwares online dt u can use, but even good softwares dey msibehave, not to talk of hacked ones. Why do you think the iPhone DEV guys say they are not liable if ur iPhone fries while trying to unlock it ![]() Food for tot guys, Food for tot. |
can u? ![]() you'll be surprised at how many pple actually owns d iphone in Nigeria, wu are internet savvy and yet cant install an app from apple iStore. Well u said @ CV its 3K, better go bak and check, someone just unlocks his @ 25K(I dont know where actually). So @ 10K, I think its enuf troubles for my research heh?? BTW: If you own an iPhone, try and unlock it yahsef, I bet its as easy as u think ![]() |

well its finally finished. Full source code on gitorious http://gitorious.org/projects/batterymonitor ciao |
well it all sounds geeky, but its quite simple, tx anyway if you are using linux checkout this file /etc/acpi/battery/BAT0/state, all you need is to be able to parse this file correctly and you gat what you want curious, wait till i post the source code ciao |
Its funny how sometimes you “stumble” on some things. I have been thinking to myself “wont you dosomething cool to wrap up the year with?” I have quite a number of ideas but I dont seem to be able to summon up strength to start any. But of recent, I have to re-organise my box, so I decided to just format it(I havent done that in a while). So I copied my home directory and blam! formated the box. I wanted to install a lightweight OS, so I chose a version of Ubuntu that is lightweight, comes with xfce and all that. The only problem is, it doesnt have a graphical battery monitor! After searching online for an xfce battery monitor with no success, I decided to write a shell script that prints to one of my consoles. I did that in no time, and whenever I want to check my battery status, I switch to the terminal. If I dont want to switch, I just run the shell script from the terminal. Works well for a geek, but for a user, it sucks. So I decided to give it a UI. I have not done java for a while(I have been engrossed in scala and erlang) so I decided to do a little java(plus I just need an excuse to start Netbeans again after a long spell of VIM). So I built the UI, far far less complicated than I thought and yea, it works. Keep your fingers crossed, you will get the source and rpm first thing 2009. Merry XMAS and Happy New Year….see you on the other side of 8 |
erlang: Bin in production for about 20 years Functional Can do all the cool stuffs in a functional way (ErlyBank, ErlyDB, Mnesia, Mochiweb, rabbitMQ etc) My most powerful language as of now is scala, scala took a lot of cues from erlang, the only reason I will chose scala over erlang is JVM, otherwise its erlang all the way |
please keep us posted on okere's case |
@seun Yes we do, I dont want to mention names now, but I came across one while my company was trying to do something, |
tx @rancetech, I wonder if n'land software developers dont kow what patents are ![]() |
Are software patents evil? Some of know about the infamous one-click patent by Amazon. Should such frivolous patents be allowed? Do software patents inhibit innovation and creativity? Have you any personal experience with either the evil or good of software patents? Should software trolls be allowed to even exist in our society? Please lets discuss |
@Seun lemme help you out C# has the following that Java dont or that are done better than in java, I wont explain, google them yourself Indexers Properties Delegates Events Enums Operator Overloading ref, out and params keywords Assemblies, namespaces et all dts about all I can remember. but does that make it better? If I ask you java or pascal which is better, you might look at me and say this guy is crazy, right? but av u seen Object Pacal? Look all these comparisons make me sick. Each one of them has got its strenghts and weaknesses. I am yet to see any linux programmer who says he prefers Mono over c/++/Java/Python/etc despite all these gr8 new features, The thing is "speak in woteva language, but make sense" -- Rugged Man ciao |
ok, pascal ok wif u ![]() |
I hope this help. It converts Strings to bytes public class Stringy {But to dynamically allocate Storage(I heard pointers ringing in my ears), you are better with C. using java you could use pointers too. this is a code that utilises this
Visit http://naijadukes.net with your questions, you get faster responses there as long as its java question, I hope this solution is not too late. Today is 4 days already Ciao |
Inasmuch as you dont need Maths to be a programmer, lets not forget that the first set of programmers were mathematicians, the first set of programming languages were designed to solve mathematical problems, where do you think words like variable and constant come from, mathematics was an integral part of programming, and I want to believe it still is. One thing I know mathematics will do for you is help your problem solving skills. Wenever I pick a new language, I solve problems like fibonacci, tower of hanoi, pascal triangle, etc with it and thats all, I can do ANY OTHER THING with that language. Programming is all about problem solving, and like a colleague of mine said, "Your program is not the solution to the problem you are trying to solve, it's a way of expressing the solution so that you wont have to repeat the process of solving the problem again" Learn mathematics and you will be a better programmer, shun mathematics at your own peril(just kidding, you can still be a good programmer). I dont use to like maths, but this is waht I did. I bought new general mathematics for JS1 to JS3 and I solved over 70% of all the problems in it. Try it too. If NGM is too advanced you can try that for Pry 6 for a start. By the time you finish NGM book 1, you will find out that Maths is not so tough after all. Ciao |
Is there any such thing as off topic, to me the answer is no. Anyway I will love to help, try and register again, maybe from another cafe, if u are at home, check your proxy, I am also lazy so please mail me and I will reply segun.akintayo@uknglobal.com ciao |
This is another one from JAND, one of our own has just concluded work on a JSON parser forJava, u ask me whats wrong with the one we have now? simple answer is its too large, check out this single class implementation of a JSON parser that works. Sample codes and download links can be found >> http://naijadukes.net/jand/index.php/topic,47.msg226.html#msg226 The pretty thing is that its open source, so source code is available >> http://gitorious.org/projects/mason ciao |
I dont usually store images in db too, I store path names, well researching for you, will get back |

I am doing this for the search man, I am doing it for google
