freshest4live: Lol you don't have to compare to Nigeria, with our massive projects on, we may get to 90% by next year. I hope you Kenyans are working on yours too because 60% is just a little above average and not too good for a country of just 46 million people, this would mean close to 20 million people are in total darkness. And don't give me that developing economy thrash, we Africans should be competing squarely with south America now. In Nigeria that translate to 70million in darkness and 90m can't even get enough.. |

freshest4live: Common man, that is what Nairobi is made for...Tourism. So it's normal for people to go there to fall in love with it. Maybe in Nigeria we would have to work more on calabar as a Tourist destination. But many people hardly care about Tourism in Naija. Kenyan are the biggest users of our facilities and not tourist..Algeria is not a big tourist country but the country is damn beautiful with great infrastructure... My point is we don't do things because of tourist...Its our culture... |

forgiveness: Bhuuuhahaha! Look at what this guy posted before I posted the list of Highrises in Lagos.
He claimed Nairobi has more highrise with over 20 floors above both completed and underconstruction despite the fact that no where in the world uses that parameter to determine a highrise. Well I proved he was wrong by giving links to prove my point that Lagos has more highrises than the whole of Kenya. I even went my way to list the high-rises in Lagos
However, with all the gragra, he was able to list 37 highrises both completed and under construction but when he saw that Nairobi can't measure up with Lagos in terms highrise, he can up with this.....
He claimed he can't list all buildings with over 12 floors, as if Nairobi has more than Moscow, Hong Kong, New York etc that document theirs.
Meaning, in his voice.. 'The fact that you can even list ALL buildings in Lagos with over 12 floors is testament how you have so few of them' New York, Seoul, Tokyo, Moscow have few of them. Bhuuuhahaha!
He thought Kenya is the only one living in a planet where data or information doesn't exist.
See the snapshot below.
SKYSCRAPERS Lagos - 8
Nairobi - 6
HIGHRISES Lagos - 126
Nairobi - 76 (I gathered information from emporis) if you have more, I dare you to list them.
BUILDINGS WITH 20 FLOORS OVER (completed)

Nairobi - 23

arinzeejikonye: That will be later bro,it is really herculean, I got meeting to catchup now,
However, I think this highrise is subjective in a way, some less storeys building could be taller than some buildings with more storeys, You guys will never run short of excuses... Nairobi is a land of tall structures. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Kenya Is Ahead of Nigeria In All Aspect (Facts Don't Lie) by Jay254(m): 6:06pm On May 21, 2017 |
arinzeejikonye: Here is total twin towers of 27 storeys each in top gear, Nairobi got nothing on lagos,
This should be close to the Google area, off eko Atlantic in Victoria island So this are same buildings render and final work

TayserMahiri: Well then. I am sure you know where this debate started from. Forgiveness couldn't swallow that kenya has way taller buildings than naija and so she came up with a new metric. Am sure he is soon going to come up with another one, probably adding up the heights of all buildings in nigeria to get a big number.
The internet won't change the facts on the ground. Nairobi stands taller than Lagos in height, sophistication and beauty. True Dat |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Kenya Is Ahead of Nigeria In All Aspect (Facts Don't Lie) by Jay254(m): 4:17pm On May 21, 2017 |
arinzeejikonye: That you have about two taller newly completed building, doesn't mean you have more highrises than lagos in Nairobi,
That bro really tried compiling them, but there are still more he didn't mention,
This is no 4 bourdilon ikoyi , twin tower with 25storeys each For sure that would be a shame for lagos.. Here 12 floors are mostly apartments that are everywhere around the city.. For sure Forgiveness has never set foot in Lagos. |

shervydman: oga, u cant list all buildings above 12 floors in lagos too......I've even checked emporis.
Nairobi and Lagos both have 6 skyscraper each that's including the two buildings u guys finished just recently.
the highest 20 buildings in Kenya ranges from 60m-200m while Nigeria ranges from 87m-160m.
They have already been listed by a nigerian |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Kenya Is Ahead of Nigeria In All Aspect (Facts Don't Lie) by Jay254(m): 12:34pm On May 21, 2017 |
NairobiWalker: Lol, so I posted buildings with over 20 floors and you're posting me buildings with over 12 floors and claiming you have more? Dude, I can't even list all buildings over 12 floors in Nairobi. There are some neighborhoods where all residential buildings are over 12 floors with no names. The fact that you can even list ALL buildings in Lagos with over 12 floors is testament how you have so few of them. Anyway I couldn't help but notice from your list you have only 10 complete buildings over 20 COMPLETE floors in comparison to Nairobi's 22 lol.
Buildings over 20 floors.
Nairobi - 22
Lagos - 10 I did'nt know Lagos had such few highrise... You cannot list all buildings above 12 flours in Nairobi... Nigerians In Kenya should come out and for once be honest about this |

We rather shop online and get the items delivered to our doorsteps. what percentange of pple use online shopping in Nija...and link please |

Marcelo290: Objectively speaking, Nairobi and Mombasa are the only two cities you got, I took my time to research on these other places you posted, only to discover they are just mere towns, some have good touristic appeal though, but these places are visited mainly by foreigners, where then is the chunk of your other citizens? don't make me believe what I've been hearing and seeing on google is true.
In Nigeria we have other cities bustling in business and every social life you can think of, all state capitals in Nigeria have attained some level of development, there are still many more of them like Aba, Warri, Onitsha, Zaria, Nnewi, etc.. Not to mention places like Calabar, Enugu, Owerri, Ibadan, Akure, Kano, Kaduna, Uyo, and many others, not adding other major towns, these are all outside the Lagos, Abuja and Port hacourt you already know, and there are level of social activities and developments going on in all these places..
We are developing more than 40 cities at a time, you now see why most times I find it tiring to engage in dick measuring comparisons with you guys.
In Universities you just got University of Nairobi and Kenyatta university with good structures, here we have UNN, UNILAG, ABU ZARIA, UNIBEN, UI, UNICAL, UNIILORIN, UNIPORT, UNIJOS, UNIUYO, UNIZIK, UNIMAID etc Not including other world class private Universities apart from the federal ones I just listed, including State varsities...
My point is, we got much of everything, while you guys keep boasting with the few you got, none of us live in forests, so you see why these whole arguments sound funny and flawed to me... nevertheless, you guys are making progress, but we are incomparable at least for now. Man we have posted enough by now, I don't understand why we should repost after every 20-30 Pgs... It was so obvious in our post that Nigerian Cities have large population than Kenya and most of them look slumish. Kenyan Cities on the other had had lesser population but more classy, had ambience and better amenities . Hahaha Just two Unis... Just Check out USIU kenya,Strathmore,Kabarak,Moi,Methodist,Nazarene...No Nigerian Uni can come close in terms of there ambience and serenity. |

Development is just centralized in one place, while others are left to suffer and decide their fate...this is wickedness in the face of humanity! We have mombasa which was shared here before.. Kisumu,Eldoret,Kericho,Thika,Malindi all have been shared before.. Mombasa Killed that PH of yours. we are back to Nairobi.. |
