September
Prediction - Nairobi solidifies its emergence as Africa’s premier skyscraper hub as construction starts on Hass Tower in Nairobi – the first supertall to begin construction in Africa.

Nairobi is in the midst of a skyscraper building boom, accounting for almost a quarter of all active high-rise construction in Africa – far outpacing any other comparable cities. Adding to that will be the Hass complex when it starts construction in September. The two-tower project will break a number of records, featuring Kenya’s two tallest buildings, Africa’s first supertall tower, and two of the three tallest buildings on the continent. Its construction will solidify Nairobi’s emergence as Africa’s primary skyscraper city.

Guy shut up! majority of Kenyans suffer from inferiority complex, very insecure, they always think of what others think about them. the insecurity shown by ur kind is here for the whole world to see, especially in this thread, if I should start posting projects ongoing and completed in Nigeria, bi won't be able to finish.

Kenya generate less electricity supply to meet its demand.

u think it is only Kenya that has wind turbines for generating electricity?? Nigeria has the largest wind turbines in west Africa located in katsina state, I am sure there's 24 hrs power supply in that place. the govt is looking at building small power stations like this for small towns with less energy demand than the bigger cities.

Some parts of Nigeria do have 24/7 power supply, bonny island is a good example, and in the capital city power is quite steady, I think a special solar power plant is ongoing in abj of about 100mw for abuja residents only.
10Mw Nigeria is Ajoke look at Kenyas 300Mw..

I understand very clearly. I think u were the one who find it hard to comprehend my simple post.

I was even ashamed as that guy posted the pix of a pedestrian bridge which was newly constructed to add to the thousand of pedestrian bridges in Lagos, u know, as the light rail is nearing completion more and more pedestrian bridges are spewing up in Lagos and i think that poster is probably a rural dweller who somehow find his way into Lagos and amazed at the level of development and having sighted that bridge for the first time in his life decided to take a pic of it and uploaded here.

I am really sorry and I apologize on his before. grin

but Kenya is still below Nigeria tho. grin

Wetin dem don produce? Are they better than the ones produced by Nigeria's Universities? grin

What area of specialty is your universities good at? We know Oxford University is good at Art, Massachusetts Institute is good at technology, Harvard University is good almost good at everything, and on our side, University of Ibadan is good at Art (especially literature), and Medicine, University of Lagos known for Art(law, journalism), University of Nigeria for (Business, Banking and Medicine), Obafemi Awolowo University (Business, law and Technology) etc

Limit it to UI vs Nairobi University and University of Ghana.

If nudity, fake hair, bikinis and mini gowns is your definition of education and beauty, then i fear for Kenyans. Nigerians will pass pls....

We rather showcase our natural beauty alongside our african culture and modesty.
African ladies are more defined by their behinds rather than the cute face... try focus on both, for better judgement..

And btw that is not nudity in Kenya we are one of the most liberal countries in the world..

Lagos, Nigeria - After carefully washing her face, legs and arms, Taiwo Solomon vigorously rubs cream over her body. She is meticulous and makes sure she covers her entire face. Soloman, 32, is bleaching her skin. She believes fairer skin could be her ticket to a better life. So she spends her meager savings on cheap black-market concoctions that promise to lighten her pigment.

This has been a daily routine for the past 15 years. Now several shades lighter she says her new skin makes her feel more beautiful and confident.

“Bleaching just makes me feel special, like am walking around in a spotlight,” she told Al Jazeera. “I am not seeking to be totally white, I just want to look beautiful. I cannot stop using the lightening agents,” she adds.

Solomon is not alone. According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), 77 percent of women in Nigeria use skin-lightening products, the world’s highest percentage. That compares with 59 percent in Togo, and 27 percent in Senegal. The reasons for this are varied but most people say they use skin-lighteners because they want "white skin".

In many parts of Africa, lighter-skinned women are considered more beautiful and are believed to be more successful and likely to find marriage.

It's not only women though who are obsessed with bleaching their skins. Some men too are involved in the practice.

Conceptions of beauty

Lightening creams are not effectively regulated in Nigeria where even roadside vendors sell tubes and plastic bags of powders and ointments from cardboard boxes stacked along sidewalks in market districts. Many of the tubes are unlabelled as to their actual ingredients.

And they keep saying they have no issue with white skin.
