Odumeje, we gathered was picked up by the Anambra State Police Command and he is now at the State Police Headquarters, Awka.

However, the reasons the controversial pastor who goes with many names such as; ‘The Lion’, ‘The Lebadu’, ‘The Lemande’, ‘The Abidoshika’, ‘The War’, ‘The Fight’, ‘The Battle’, ‘The Liquid Metal’, and ‘Coat of Many Colours’ was arrested has not been made known.

In new reports following the wake of rape and sexual assault that’s had Nigerian internet buzzing over the last few days, a new case of rape followed by murder has just been reported.

An 18-year-old lady, identified as Barakat Bello is reported to have been raped and murdered at her home in Ibadan. According to Twitter user, @DrOlufunmilayo who shared the news, Barakat was home alone when the incident occurred.

Barakat, a Muslim Hijabi sister, was home alone when suspected armed robbers invaded her home to steal and in course of that, raped and killed her.

Barakat was a year 1 student in the Federal College of animal health and production in Ibadan. She has since been buried.

A Nigerian lady identified as Sophiesweet on Instagram has taken to the platform to advise ladies who are currently in a relationship.

Sophiesweet advised ladies to break up with their boyfriends if they do not bless their accounts with N200k to N300k weekly.

A Fabrication Engineer and CEO of Bennie Technologies LTD, Jerry Isaac Mallo has unveiled Nigeria’s first carbin fibre car which he manufactured on Thursday November 28.

The Engineer who is just 25-years-old, hinted on creating more innovative products and said he was inspired to create the sports car because Nigeria and Africa is a very big market for luxury vehicles.

“In Europe, we learnt that making the car is just half of the challenge, and selling it is the other half; Africa is usually is the target place to sell these vehicles, so I feel there’s a big market for it here,” Mallo told Channels Television Sunrise Daily on Friday November 29.

The Plateau state indigene who said his state government has been quite supportive, disclosed that Governor Simon Lalong was the chief unveiler of his car named Bernie Purrie.

Mallo said most people get crushed in cars because those cars are made from aluminium or galvanized sheets that cannot absorb shocks at high speed. He added that his cars comes with 130 big horsepower which goes from 0 to 120 in 12seconds and also has a 2.0litre engine.

A Nigerian man has taken to Instagram to narrate his alleged encounter with some police officers who almost arrested him because he used a photo of Tottenham coach, Jose Mourinho as his Whatsapp DP.

According to @chu_chu_sam, the police men who insinuated he might have used the photo of Mourinho to defraud some of his contacts threatened to arrest, torture and take him down to the police station.

Operatives of the EFCC, Uyo Zonal Office in a joint operation with some of the Commission’s operatives from Abuja, in the early hours of Thursday, November 28th, stormed a building described as ‘YAHOO ACADEMY’, allegedly used solely for the training of youngsters in various aspects of cyber criminality.

During the raid on Essien Essien Street, Ikot Ibiok village in Eket Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State, 23 suspects including operators and trainees were arrested. The suspects were between the ages of 19 and 35.

They have confessed that they were undergoing training in various aspects of cyber criminality such as Love Scam, Online Trading Scam, Theft Identity etc.

A Congolese woman has tragically died due to jealousy from a friend, over the simple matter of a job promotion.

According to reports, the lady was poisoned, allegedly, by her own best friend.

The two were up for a promotion at work and the lady won. Unhappy, her friend decided to ‘take her out’.

She reportedly poisoned a meal, gave it to the friend to eat and consequently, she died soon after eating it.

She’s been arrested for murder but denies the charge.

Meanwhile, the deceased has been buried. A beautiful life cut short in her prime by the evil of jealousy.

A housewife, Shamsiya Muhammad, on Wednesday begged a Sharia Court ll, sitting in Magajin Gari, Kaduna State to dissolve her marriage with Sani Adamu, over his refusal to pray.

The complainant, Muhammad, who resides at Tudun Wada, Kaduna, said that she cannot continue with Adamu, because he also does not care for her and always insults her parents whenever they have a misunderstanding.

“We got married six years ago and we have two children, he paid N40,000 as my bride price, I am willing to return back his money and free myself from the union as Islam guides us,’’ she said.

The defendant, Adamu who also resides at Tudun Wada, Kaduna, who denied insulting his wife’s parents claims he prays five times daily.

Adamu also said that he loves his wife and prayed the court to give him more time to settle their differences.

Earlier, a witness, Malam Sulaiman Sabo, leader of Kaduna butchers, said that he had made several attempts to settle both parties so that their marriage can continue but to no avail.

“I have sat them down many time to settle them, at my presence they oblige and forgive each other and promise to live in peace.

“After every meeting with them, bad news follows on the same issues I tried to settle between them, all of them are my neighbors and Adamu’s father is a butcher under my leadership, I tried my best but it’s not working out,’’ Sabo said.

The Judge, Murtala Nasir, after listening to both parties and Sabo, adjourned the case to Sept. 30 for the complainant to bring the N40, 000 she received as bride price for judgment.

NAN reports that the case was adjourned four times at different sittings to enable Malam Sabo intervene but the wife still remained on her stands of seeking divorce.

Pharmacy lecturers in University of Benin has embarked on an indefinite strike since on the 1st of April, 2019. It was gathered that the decision of the lecturers to emark on the strike is because of the non-payment of professional allowance and from the fact that other health professionals in the school have been paid the said allowance, while that of pharmacy lecturers have remained pending.

Academic activities at the faculty of pharmacy has been put on hold since the strike started, and till date, not much has been done by the management of the University towards ending the ongoing strike.

The students of the faculty have resolved to peaceful protests around the university to express their grievances with the current strike action and have requested that the strike be called off soon.
