Hello NL,
This is my first time messaging, please I have an issue. I got admission with Memorial university for Energy systems engineering for Fall 2022(back was in mechanical engr).
My agent has already applied for my study permit but I am scared as I did not submit some of the things I’m seeing people submit here, please look through what I submitted through my agent and let me know if I still have a chance.
I submitted LOE, IELTS(overall 7.5)
2 MBS = 21m and 7m(7m is from my moms Buisness account)
1 bank statement from my dad dom account ($16k).
Letter of sponsorship from my dad and mom.
Admission letter
I paid 7500CAD OUT OF 26,000CAD for the 2 years
University certificate
WAEC certificate
NYSC certificate
7 coursera certificate
SOP
Police Certificate

These are all I can remember submitting. Although I have US travel history, 2 different times, the second time I did a 7month internship there. Please I would like to know if all these are enough to get the visa. I did not submit CAC or family pictures or house deeds.
Please respond quickly,
Thanks.

It’s has been submitted already,I think you should just pray about it.And even if things goes otherwise and you get a denial which we don’t pray for.
You can simply back up all your documents and show to the VO to proof the things you claimed earlier since they are genuine .
Blame the Agent you used,as it seems he doesn’t know his way around but rather just focused on your money.
But still,Don’t panic. It would end in praise

Our main issue is getting a 2year PG diploma program that is more affordable, like in the north Atlantic region. Most colleges that have what we are looking for, which is a program that is computer science related are in Ontario, and they're expensive.
I might just go for a normal diploma course and hope on the lord for a miracle cry

Honestly bro, like he said "Don't give up, find a college and apply for a Diploma course and back it up with prayer" ,You may never know until you try

For North Atlantic, these are the ones I know

Check

NBCC (New Brunswick Community College)
Post Graduate programs on

- Information Technology: Business and Advanced Analytics
- Information Technology: Cybersecurity

NSCC (Nova Scotia Community College) Post Graduate Program

Geospatial Data Analytics

A Master's admission requires a minimum of 2.1, so masters admission with your CGPA is slim

Is the requirement for a PGD in a university also a 2:1 ?

I have this same fear but what's the worst possible outcome: you get denied.

If you do not try, you will never know if you would have succeeded.

As much as an Msc is expected after a Bsc, anyone can decide to do a PGD, a PGD program can position you for an Msc, it can also enable you get practical experience you did not get during your undergrad.

Simply explain in your SOP and shoot your shot and you might just be thankful you did.

Honestly Bro!!You’d never know until you try
But i honestly know that my chances of getting an approval would be very slim stating the fact that I already have a BSC
Please can anyone on here state universities that offer PGD in Either Data analytics,Software or Cyber security
I’d appreciate your response.btw, let’s connect bro I sent you an email already

A one year PGWP is a big risk when you have the option of running a two-year program and getting a 3-year PGWP.

Believe me, that one year can move very fast and if you don't get a job within the period, that's it.

Don't forget PGWP is a one time thing.

Cc: Jaykeyzeeee.

Honestly it is really a big one,And considering the 1+1 formula

What if I’m unable to raise funds over there due to the limited working hours given to intl students.
This is the main reason I’m looking out for a 2yrs diploma course which is still related to my previous study ,but I’m faced with how what to say that’d be convincing enough to the VO for pursuing a degree lower than my previous degree..
Someone on here once said it’s nearly impossible to convince a VO on why you’d be going for a Diploma after a BSC..
Omo ehnn the struggle is ls real.

HI

Your Response to the questions below would enable you to get a response on the type of PG.Cert program at a College or Masters you should/can go for

- what did you study in the university/Polytechnic?

- what year did you graduate ? (to address study gap)

- Do you have a 2.1, 2.2, 3rd Class or Upper Credit, Lower Credit (HND)

- Do you have a job? If yes, what is the name of your Job, and what are your Job duties? (to know if your Job is related to your Degree)

- How many years work experience do you have in that Job?

I think I might reply to this even though the questions were not directed to me
But it’s related to my present predicament in picking a course of study ,I’d be glad to get a response as I’d be seeking your advise on this one @Lekiboboe and the other gurus on this platform

Studied Computer Science,Graduated in 2021 with a second class lower (3.26) to be precise
I don’t have any work experience at the moment, besides I’m yet to go for NYSC

But ever since I graduated I’ve been taking courses on Cousera relating to software Engineering and I’ve gotten some certifications though I’m still looking to stack more before the end of the year.
I’m looking out for a PGD or masters in either Software Engineering,Data analystics or Cyber security In one of the affordable colleges in the North Atlantic regions or better still a university if I’d qualify to apply for any of universities .

My fellow Uniben alumni, you can check Langara college. They offer Post degree diploma in data analytics (2 years).
I hope you have a soft copy of your transcript.

I checked our Langara
The tuition is quite on the high side for me.Main reason I’m looking at those colleges In the North Atlantic regions
I’m still checking if I’d be elegible for a PGD In universities .Main reason why I’m even considering going for a college is because of they base more on practicals and they offer you hands on experience in your field..
Honestly I’m just stuck now btwn either going for a Diploma or PGD with my BSC, Cause In cases like this ehnn,Na only God dey direct person .
I wouldn’t want to make any mistake In picking a program that’d leave the VO to ask questions i wouldn’t be able to defend

I’ve ND in computer engineering. When I was also trying to find a school in the Atlantic region. I later went with College of North Atlantic. The only IT course pertaining to my field is computer systems and networking and I went with it. But you can check other courses that are IT related since you’re working towards a professional certification.
Wow nice I tried to send you an email
I think we should connect more and interact
I’d appreciate that,Do you know when applications would be open for CNA?
Or is it already too late to apply?
Please I need responses
NBCC still has its application open
I’m considering applying for that,But I’m just concerned that it doesn’t show progression
With a good SOP do I stand a chance of getting a Visa approval ?

a 1 year course isn't bad you can still get 1 year PGWP, a diploma might raise some questions especially with a 2:2,there will be some universities with 2 year PGD if that's what you want try centennial/conestoga college or for university- mcmaster university, university of alberta, memorial university of newfound land or better yet look through this site:[url]https://www.mastersportal.com/search/master?dur=[720,720]&di=24&ci=56&page=3[url]. fall 2023 will open this year so just start gathering your documents it's not far away.

Honestly I thought there were no hope of getting admission into a University with my Second class lower .Besides most of the colleges I’ve seen are way higher than my budget,The one I’ve been looking out for are NBCC(New Brunswick),NSCC(Nova Scotia),College of North Atlantic,Prince Edwards Island, and Yukon college

what was your first degree in? why not apply for both to keep your options open.

I graduated from the department of Computer Science with a 2:2
Same related field of study
But applying for a diploma doesn’t show progression, but rather a PGD does, but most of the courses relating to my field for PGD are usually a one year course or not even open for application for fall 2023
So I thought of applying for a Diploma programm in Network Administration which is a 2yr programm.
Do you think this is a good decision and won’t be a red flag to the VO when I’m looking to apply for Visa

So this is my first post on here
Though I’ve been a silent reader for the past few weeks and I’ve gotten a lot of insight on here

I’ve been stuck with making a decision and honestly I have been troubled cause any decision I make now influence my decision in picking a career path

So I graduated from UNIBEN around this time last year with a second class lower and ever since then I didn’t go for service cause I felt I had nothing to offer so I began to take online courses and get myself some certifications on Cousera and some other platforms on software Engineering
I’m still yet to go for service anyways but I’d be looking to go with the next batch, and still unemployed but searching
I’ve been looking to apply for one of these colleges in the North Atlantic regions of Canada as they are actually cheaper and affordable due to my financial status, dad is retired but willing to sponsor my tuition and other expenses from the sale of one of his landed properties
I’ve been looking to apply for a PGD either in Software Development,Data analysis ,Cyber security or Business and advanced Analytics which the requirement is usually for student with computer science background,Accounting and other related field.
So far, Most of the schools I’ve checked out are either offering a one year PG certificate in these courses or are either not open for application for fall 2023
I’m stuck between making a decision on going for a Diploma programme in Network Administration or a diploma in any IT related field which is a 2yr course

Please gurus in the house @ lekikibobo, frank and other bosses
I need your help and advise on this one .
God bless
