This page has been very interesting and insightful, tanx to the gurus and employees of First Bank. However I need to know if this graduate trainee program includes First Bank retail banking and her subsidiaries? (First Holdings, First Quest, First Capital, First Securities and so on). I want to be sure the recruitment is not limited to commercial banking. Anyone in the house that has information should kindly share. Tanx in anticipation. |

Please share with us your assessment centre experience. We are hoping to learn from your experience. |
dyduds:Jah bless you for asking these questions. From the house, any tips? |
eye2sabi:Can we also get the movie too? |
SIRcumalot:Diamond Ring is the title of the movie... |
AimingIncognito:When you conceive a business idea, you should never have asked for other people's opinion because Nigerians generally are risk averse individuals. Please if you still need a conviction on starting a biz you already have a framework and a plan/strategy, ask a mentor who is as well an entrepreneur and I assure you you would receive all the positives you need to become your own boss. |
Please anyone with a Situational Judgement Test (SJT) past question and answer should please signify as the OP is in need of one urgently. Please drop by and signify so that I can PM you to drop my mail or drop the link to download here. Thank you as you help a brother. |

Our recruitment process is underpinned by the principle of appointment on the basis of fair and open competition and appointment on merit, as outlined in the Civil Service Commissioners’ Recruitment Principles. If you feel your application has not been treated in accordance with these principles and you wish to make a complaint, you should in the first instance contact HMRC by post or by email: Tax Academy Recruitment Fitzroy House Castle Meadow Road Nottingham NG2 1BQ Email: taxacademyrecruitment@hmrc.gsi.gov.uk If you are not satisfied with the response you receive, you can contact the Civil Service Commission , which regulates all Civil Service recruitment. REHABILITATION OF OFFENDERS HMRC has an exemption under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions order 1975). Applicants who are successful in reaching the interview stage of the recruitment process will be asked to declare details of any criminal convictions, including spent convictions and cautions, to allow basic security checks to be completed. Declaring a criminal conviction will not necessarily prevent you from being successful in your application for this particular programme, but it may exclude you from applying for other posts within the department. HOW TO APPLY Applications for the programme are made through the Civil Service Jobs site. PERSONAL EMAIL ADDRESS All of HMRC ’s communication with you will be by email. HMRC strongly recommends that you use your own personal email address as HMRC will send emails with private information about your results. IF YOU EXPERIENCE PROBLEMS WITH THE TESTS Pop-up blockers and security settings can prevent the tests from loading, moving to the next page, submitting or freezing. It is therefore essential that you adjust your computer settings to allow the test to run properly. HMRC has a technical support guide which can help you. You can find this on the log-in page. This is where you input your user name and log in details. Before logging in, you will notice a column on the left-hand side with various links. By clicking on the FAQ link, you can read guidance on problems you may come across while completing the tests and solutions to these problems. Each section offers tips on how to solve the problem and will ask you if this helps. If you work your way through each of the possible solutions and you still have problems, there is an enquiry form which you can send to HMRC ’s technical support team. If you encounter problems at the last minute, HMRC won’t have time to offer much technical assistance. Therefore, we recommend you complete the application as soon as possible. Do not wait to apply the day before the deadline, as we will not be able to help. CANDIDATES REQUIRING ASSISTANCE Please contact Civil Service Resourcing’s recruitment team by emailing csr.jobs@hmrc.gsi.gov.uk if you have a disability or condition which may mean that you need help with the application form or online tests. The team will be able to discuss your needs and explain what help they can offer. If you feel you require extra time for the online tests, you will have to provide written evidence that this is necessary. The sooner you contact us the sooner we can help. GUARANTEED INTERVIEW SCHEME To meet its commitment as a disability symbol user, HMRC operates a guaranteed interview scheme ( GIS ). We do not hold interviews, so under our scheme a candidate will be guaranteed progression to stage 2 of the process if they meet the minimum required standard on the numerical and reasoning verbal test, while meeting the minimum criteria for the job. Please also remember to tick the GIS and/or Help Required boxes on your application form pending whether you are applying under the GIS and/or seeking additional support. REPEAT APPLICATIONS If at any stage your application is rejected, you cannot re-apply. If you try and submit a second application, HMRC ’s system will flag this up to their recruitment team as a duplicate application and you will be automatically barred from progressing with this. You may also not be able to apply for any new campaigns for a while. I applied for HMRC Tax Professional's graduate programme and so far I am on stage 2 of the application process. This stage requires passing a Situational Judgement Test (SJT) which I am not too familiar with. I have written this kind of test before with mixed results, but now, I need more info on how to get over the test once without guess work. If you are also at this stage of the recruitment, kindly join so that we can rub minds together and share materials that would aid our passing the recruitment because I was told there are only 200 slots available; and hence, 200 applicants to select from the thousands that applied. Please, if you have previously applied for this test or have access to materials that can be used kindly share. ![]() |

Trump Policy Directions Immigration Restore integrity to our immigration system by prioritizing the interests of Americans first. Enforce our immigration laws – at the border and at the workplace. Build a border wall and end sanctuary cities. Send criminal aliens home. Welcome those who embrace our way of life, but keep out immigrants and refugees who don’t through rigorous vetting. Abortion The primary responsibility of the federal government is to protect the rights of its citizens. Life is the most fundamental right. The federal government should not diminish this right by denying its’ protection. I am opposed to abortion except for rape, incest and life of the mother. I oppose the use of government funds to pay for abortions. Guns Unwavering support of the Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms. Get serious about prosecuting violent criminals. Get gang members and drug dealers off the street to make our cities and communities safer. Empower law-abiding gun owners to defend themselves. Expand mental health programs keep the violent mentally ill off of our streets. Foreign Policy Foreign policy will be singularly focused on Making America Safe Again by destroying radical Islamic terrorist groups. End the nuclear deal with Iran and the ransom payments to the world’s number one state sponsor of terrorism. America will stand with its allies and end the Obama-Clinton practice of apologizing to our enemies. Taxes Cut business rate to 15 percent. Reduce individual rates to three brackets of 12, 25, and 33 percent, with a 0 percent rate for many. Add above-the-line deduction for childcare costs, including for stay-at-home parents. Same-sex Marriage The Supreme Court has issued an opinion on this. Same-sex marriage is an issue that should have been decided by the states. Health Care Every American deserves access to high quality, affordable health care, not just insurance. Obamacare has failed on cost and quality of health care. It must be repealed. America needs a patient-centered health care system, allowing families and their doctors to be primary decision makers. Provide for the sale of health insurance across state lines. Economy and Jobs Reform the tax code and trade policies to make it easier to hire, invest, build, grow, produce, and manufacture in America. Stop China from stealing our jobs, renegotiate NAFTA, cut unneeded regulations and make America the best place in the world to do business. Putting America First—and not globalism—will keep jobs and wealth in America. Civil Liberties When it comes to the balancing security and privacy, we should err on the side of security. We should restore Patriot Act provisions enabling metadata collection for anti-terror surveillance with court controlled access, scrutinize social media of those seeking to enter the US, and limit the ability of ISIS to use the internet to spread terrorism. Crime and Safety Crime and violence is an attack on everyone—particularly the poor—and is unacceptable. We will have strong, swift fair law and order. Progress against criminal activity is being reversed by this administration's rollback and discouragement of criminal enforcement. We must work with law enforcement and first responders to keep our communities safe. Environment Everyone deserves clean air and safe drinking water regardless of race or income. Water infrastructure will be a big priority. We need to work to protect natural areas, but in a balanced way. End Obama EPA mandates that cost too many jobs, are opposed by most states, and too often have negligible benefit for the environment. Education Every child in America deserves a great education and an opportunity to achieve their dreams. We will enhance education options for students through school choice and charters, and respect homeschoolers in their quest for educational alternatives. We will also make it easier for families to afford college so students aren’t buried in debt. Employment Create high-paying jobs to bring growth to our stagnant economy, reducing deficits and spending. Rebuild our military and ensure that veterans receive top quality medical care. Rebuild our infrastructure. End government corruption and rein in wasteful spending to put our ballooning deficits on a long-term path to balance. National Security There are serious threats facing the United States, and American strength is the only way to ensure peace. We must rebuild our military, reform our intelligence agencies, and prepare our government for the security challenges of cyberspace. Medicare Preserve Medicare for future generations. No changes to promised Social Security benefits. Veterans Ensure that every Veteran gets timely access to top-quality care through the VA or private Medicare providers if the VA cannot provide timely access. Fix VA corruption and help Veterans find good paying jobs. Veterans should come first in the country they fought to protect, and under a Trump Administration they will. Energy We will use our vast coal, shale gas, and other American energy sources in a clean and appropriate manner to benefit American families and workers, not for the economic benefit of the politically-connected. Support coal jobs, safe fracking, energy from offshore and public lands and the Keystone Pipeline, which can be done responsibly. |
At first, I reserved my comments as regards the US presidential elections. Although it might be a little too late, but better said than never. Besides, this post would only be a reminder of what transpired during the run-up to the elections. So how did Trump get to win the elections? The Democrats succeeded in having a very good campaign and campaign team, however, I strongly feel that they lost it at the second presidential debate. Clinton assumed she had all the support and was too sure of winning, she always assumed that Trump had nothing good to say or he was only fabricating whatever he was saying as strong points which could deter the just concluded government. Rather than face the facts and come up with readily available solutions, she was only using the "Assurance" term - "I assure you, US would be better under Clinton, so don't vote for Trump". As regards economic issues relating to 2008 financial crises. Clinton also failed to apply the principle of economics and finance in answering the questions. Her answers were to allow businesses and entrepreneurs to leave the country in order to reduce the crises (in the short run) as well as contain it in the long run. This, I felt was not the best way in answering such a question (especially for someone that served in office for 30 years) Trump on the other hand hit the nail on the head by his application of fiscal measures in putting an end to the crises and building an enabling environment that would ensure a sustained growth. Trump, as people say, is "a jackass, a womaniser, a man who couldn't hold on to four marriages, and a shrewd business man". But I must say he is a selfish and shrewd business man who understands the essence of business - for the gains/profit. If I were a business man, I would target the ultimate goal of business. Trump changed his campaign team twice. While some saw it as a weakness to his campaign, that I feel was what worked its magic to the victory. If you are surrounded by people who don't by into your thinking, pull them down before they pull you down. Furthermore, the idea of "ObamaCare" was a scam that Trump verily noted but Clinton failed to admit. This is because its target population ended up not getting the due benefits but spent more (Just like our network operators with their 'wayo' offers). On the crises happening in the East, Clinton solely blamed the Russians and Putin and never attempted to answer how she intended to put an end on the ISIS notorious groups and AlQaeda. Trump on the other hand pointed out to the failure of the current administration to see out a war by totally destroying an enemy so that such an uprising might never ensue. He said what Americans needed to hear and even came up with ways he felt the American Soldiers could defeat ISIS. Clinton on her part was only playing the assurance game on Americans. She could not come up with a modelled solution on how she intends to put an end the war. Also, Trump strongly assured his fellow business men of supporting their businesses and ensuring that other business could spring up and thrive in the US economy by lowering tax rates for entrepreneurs. Clinton was even against the idea of having an upper class that are amazing at what they do. Her campaign was for the middle class. She had forgotten that there can't be a middle class without an upper class in a classical society. It is the Bourgeoisie that feeds the Proletariat and not the government in a liberal society. Indeed, the essence of a government in a classical society is to ensure the welfare of its citizens and not the sole driver of productive resources in the economy. Personality wise, I feel Trump had the personality to take authoritative decisions even in the face of daunting circumstances (Just like David Palmer did in 24 and like Buhari told us he would do during his campaign). I am not saying Clinton doesn't. All in all, the two candidates were very interesting candidates with the sole motive of achieving a common goal but with contrasting ideas on how to achieve the goal. Hence, only one could definitely achieve this goal of leading their nation for at least the next 4 years, and that one was to be decided by the populace after hearing their contrasting views on issues affecting their welfare. And majority decided it is Trump they feel can take America to the next level. However, this is just the beginning of a new America and questions such as "How to boost their economy as China, Japan and Russia are posing a big threat to the nation's economy; How to raise GDP and ensure sustainable economic growth; How to recreate unemployment and prevent loss of jobs; and how to develop a new America that would stand the test of time" readily needs be answered. So, let's celebrate their decision and sit back and relax to see how the next 4 years would unfold for America. Please before you bash me, go and see their previously held debates and draw your conclusions from their debates so that we can have our discussion.
