PoliticsRe: State House Press Release On The New Acting IGP MD Abubakar by Jaytee67(m): 7:47pm On Jan 25, 2012
cnario:
The Justice Niki Tobi panel constituted in September 2001 by former Governor Joshua Dariye on the Jos crisis had recommended the retirement MD Abubakar from the Police force. He ws also with Biu in d airport bomb cover up during Abacha era. D blast that killed Dr Omoshola.

In a White Paper released in Jos, the panel suggested that AIG Abubakar should be dismissed if he refuses to retire.

The panel said: "Religious fanatics should not be posted to head state police commands. The commission recommends that for his ignoble role during the September 2001 crisis which resulted in the loss of lives, the former Commissioner of Police, Plateau State Command, Alhaji M.D. Abubakar, be advised to retire from the Nigeria Police Force and in the event of his refusal to do so, he should be dismissed from the service."

Abubakar from Zamfara State who was indicted twice between 2004 and 2006 by a Jos crises Panel, is alleged to have sponsored some Islamist Militant Group when he was Commissioner of Police in Bauchi and Plateau States.
Should these be true, Nigeria is in trouble! Maybe rather than saying good luck to Nigeria last year we should have been crying bad luck to Nigeria. May God rise to our help. Fresh air indeed.
PoliticsRe: Six New States For A New Nigeria by Jaytee67(m): 3:27pm On Oct 30, 2011
This idea sounds good but it is like a dream because those who are controlling our resources will never allow such to see the light of the day.
I agree 100% that majority of the states under the present arrangement are not viable. They are political creations.
PhonesRe: Mtn Magic Number Is Over! by Jaytee67(m): 7:48am On May 20, 2011
Mine expired since 23rd April and they have now substituted the "2 weeks" message with "still unavailable due to ongoing service improvement".
It is doubtful if MTN will continue with this service. I think they should come out plain and stop deceiving their customers.

INEC is confused. Who knows whether they can still make another U-turn. Meanwhile, I guess they are only trying to appear as if they obey court orders. Let us wait and see.

FamilyRe: Describe Your Dad In Two Words. by Jaytee67(m): 1:45pm On Dec 21, 2010
Best father

Though late for over 27 years now when I was about to finish my secondary education. The little he contributed to my life can never be forgotten. All I have achieved can as well be traced to how he brought us up with love and strong Christian discipline.

I read somewhere yesterday where this same Kayode Idowu, the Chief Press Secretary to INEC Chairman, Attahiru Jega, earlier said that the DDC are yet to arrive the country. We don't know what to believe in this country any longer.

BusinessRe: Zenith Bank's "Up Country Charge" by Jaytee67(m): 10:49am On Oct 28, 2010
Zenith bank have done this for me before. I paid an amount into my own account (current account domiciled in Awka, Anambra State) in Ibadan and I was charged for up country transfer charges. I lodged complaint and they gave me a waiver but they didn't reverse the one they have charged.
This is actually daylight robbery and like the poster of this thread and others who share the same view rightly said, people should not keep quiet on this.

I hope I am not campaigning!

Please can you get a neat Toyota Hiace bus for me. I don't want the kind of vehicle that I will have to be cutting side glass, converting steering or looking for seats.

My budget is between N900,000 and N1,100,000 and I need the bus in Ibadan for a Nursery/Primary School being managed by my wife.

Please get back to me either through my e-mail or any of my phone numbers included in a mail which I have sent directly to your e-mail address.

SportsRe: I Can’t Sacrifice For Nigeria – Siasia by Jaytee67(m): 11:13am On Sep 23, 2010
This life is give and take! I am of the opinion that Siasia should not be too rigid on his asking price of $100,000. If he fails to take the opportunity, others will grab it and the opportunity may not come his way again. As much as I believe in him, that he is competent to handle the team, he is not the only one out there.
By the way, what magic has he performed with Heartland? I think, he should make hay while the sunshine. A word is enough for the wise!

EducationRe: Which Course/subject Do You Like Most? Why? by Jaytee67(m): 12:12pm On Jul 31, 2010
I read Accountancy at the University of Ilorin (1991/92 graduate). My favorite courses then were Business Law and Company Law. The reason being that those courses made one read wide and the case therein were very interesting. It got to a point that we nick-named one another in the class by some important jurists name such as Lord Dennys and co.
Though am a chartered accountant today and have no regret, but if I have my way (that is to say if I am less occupied) I will like to read Law in the years coming.

SportsRe: Pele Vs Maradona: Who Is Better? by Jaytee67(m): 1:44pm On Jun 29, 2010
Comparing Pele with Maradona is like comparing death with sleep. Pele is more than Maradona any-time, any-day, any-where using any parameter. Pele is King of Soccer while we can call Maradona the Prince of Soccer borrowing the description given by one of the earlier contributors on this thread.

Who is better?

KAITA VS AIYEGBENI
I guess your question should be "Who is more "bitter" ?
To which my own answer may be "the two are the most bitter" grin
NYSCRe: NYSC: Which State/Year Did You Serve? by Jaytee67(m): 11:41pm On Jun 27, 2010
I was a coal corper. Served in the then newly created Enugu State in 1992/93 service year. We enjoyed an 100% increment in "Alawi" then from N350 per month to N700 and were very glad serving our fatherland!
EducationRe: Policemen Beat Female Undergraduate To Coma by Jaytee67(m): 5:05pm On Jun 23, 2010
Do you just call them thugs in uniform? They are criminals that we made to be enforcing laws. They will now come on radio on Tuesdays and Thursdays and be saying nonsense that they are the friend of the people! These ones will be made scape goats but I know it doesn't stop them because the brain of most of them is as dark as their uniform sad
