Thank you Cashmadam
Cashmadam:
Yes you need a transit visa. However, If you have a valid US and/or Canadian visa, you won't need a transit visa..
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Jayyjay: 1:09pm On Aug 09, 2024
Okay. Thank you xoxo
Konyinsolah:
From my Aunty’s experience, you need a transit visa. She had to book another flight as she couldn’t go with them.

Hello house. Good afternoon. Please do one need a transit visa to fly KLM? Or a UK visit visa is enough. There is a transfer at Amsterdam for the outbound flight and Paris for the return flight

If your brother is working in the UK with payslip and a good accommodation then he can sponsor them. He needs to upload the graduation letter, his pay slips and bank statements, also tenancy agreement to show where your parents will stay. If he has enough money to buy their ticket, with or without any money in your parents account they will get the visa. I talk with experience
Thank you very much for replying. They picked up their passport with visa yesterday. I am so happy because I had a lot of doubts because their application wasn't all that perfect to me. Plus the graduation ceremony was on the 15th of July and they had their biometrics on the 5th, we basically used faith to push the whole thing.

Visa Alert!!!
Timeline
Biometric - 5th July
TLC Collection email - 26th July
My dad(self employed):
- 3 month Company statement: Opening balance: 33k Closing balance: 1.6m
- 3 month personal statement: Opening balance: 22k Closing balance: 3.3m. He often receives different deposits into his personal account which was my fear but I made sure he explained the source of all of them (He explained that payment into his personal account are income for direct professional services he rendered personally. My sis and I also sent him money for his birthday which was around when he printed his statement). He stated he will be sponsoring the trip with 1million naira only.
- His CAC (currently inactive on CAC website)
-He is a Pastor, also he and my mum has a widow's care ministry so they both submitted these documents, this was to prove home ties.

My mum (state government teacher)
- Her salary statement (also had other deposits, although they were not lump sum, contributions from her colleagues to purchase items for them, so I explained this in her application, under 'extra information'. Tbh we practically declared everything the way it was, her monthly expenses is around 130k and her salary is 131k. No other income or savings.

- She has no payslips
- A letter from her HOD and Zonal Secretary.
- Birth certificates of their 3 children, house documents and family pictures.

My brother(sponsor)
-1 month statement of £4700, no payslips. He claimed he is sponsoring them with 3000GBP
- proof of accommodation
- invitation letter
- BRP

We all thank God for his Grace. I really got helpful information from this thread, that's why I am giving this update as a form of giving back. Thank you all.

Hello when did you submit at TLS Lagos?
brightgalgg:
When last I checked the visa fee at TLS was 50 Euros, equivalent to about N80,500 as of last week. Depending on when you plan to submit just google the latest euro to naira bank rate and do the math.

I did my proconsular interview in Lagos, so I have no idea how it's done in Abuja. I hope this helps. Cheers!
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Jayyjay: 7:24pm On Jul 02, 2024
Hello fam, good evening.

My mum wants to apply for visit visa for bro's graduation. She is a government teacher earning about 131k monthly, they don't issue payslip but she has collected a letter from her school regarding this. Checking her salary account just now, I can see that she had other deposits asides from her main salary e.g ogun state government sent her palliative and leave bonus and other money entered her account but each of them are not more than 57k. Does she need to declare this? Because her total credits for the 6 months is 1.08m which is more than 131k*6 months.
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Jayyjay: 12:52pm On May 13, 2024
Hello..please how much was in your mum's account and that of the sponsor? My brother in the UK wants to invite our parents using his graduation's invitation letter and he is supposed be the main sponsor as both of them don't that much money in their account

toolluu:
Thank you so much. I followed your advice and added an introduction letter. She has gotten her visa. That agent ehn.

Alright thank you. When is your interview? or have you done it?
Amoza117:
I’ve decided to use Livin France, learnt it’s not just about the accommodation cert but you have to show you have enough money for accommodation and all because they will consider that if you’re using a housing cert.
TravelRe: Study In France - Process And Enquiries Thread by Jayyjay: 7:20pm On May 09, 2024
Hello what accommodation certificate did you later use?
Sirgilbz:
Good evening everyone

Please, I need guidance on how to get health insurance and accommodation certificate. A simplified procedure would be awesome.

It's urgent

Anybody going to University Cote D' Azur, Nice.. let's link up
TravelRe: Study In France - Process And Enquiries Thread by Jayyjay: 6:48pm On May 09, 2024
Hello what did you later use?
I am also preparing for my interview and want to be careful on the accomdation certificate to use.
Amoza117:
Okay, I think anything good and cheap will always be saturated. As long as the embassy don’t reject applications because of this, then people will keep using it. I’ll weigh my options very well before I choose which one to use.

Hi Chiomaleo can you please tell us the list of documents you submitted and how much since you are self sponsored and please who knows about using blocked account to show POF?
Chiomaleo:
I have received it. It was positive.
I thank God.
Please i need update on school fees payment using form A. Does anyone know if it still works and how long it takes now?
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Jayyjay: 4:19pm On Aug 09, 2023
Alright, thanks... I will hold on for a while, I will be applying for Italy study visa soon,so I will reapply from there.

Cashmadam:
My advise: wait it out. Reapplying this year is too soon. It just screams desperation which is a red flag.

Run your account normally and prepare your documents. You can try again in Q1 2024.
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Jayyjay: 9:04pm On Aug 02, 2023
Thank you for responding. I asked because the issue for denial raised by ECO has changed, I was denied because my funds were in a virtual foreign account not a bank and I am now using a fcmb dom account that now has all the funds in the previous account with June and July's salary.
2. Is it a red flag if I haven't been withdrawing from the account as I have been saving my salary since May?
giselle237:
I do not see the need for the rush if you have just been denied in June. You should wait until your circumstances actually change and you are able to circumvent everything the ECO said on your refusal letter. You also need to provide your bank statements as the last refusal the ECO mentioned they also did not see this and they need to be clear about your circumstances.
Your monthly expenses will be according to your situation but should also tally with your bank statements
U can limit yourself to 100k for the next 5- 6 months inorder to have a tangible amount left from your salary monthly.
Also your company can sponsor you to another country to further substantiate this holiday expense. And then when you go and come back you can re-try for the UK if they want to tick the box of if you as an applicant has been anywhere else
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Jayyjay: 3:37pm On Aug 02, 2023
please any response from bosses in the house @giselle237 @cashmadam and others
Jayyjay:
So I have been working on this refusal I got in June, I have successfully moved all my funds from this account that got rejected to a dom account with FCMB (I opened this account a long time ago with an opening balance of 10 pounds and haven't operated it since then until this month July). This is also the account I will also be getting my salary (currently june salary; june's salary was delayed so it can be sent into this dom account)
1. Since my condition has changed, when do you think I can reapply again? I am thinking of August, is that okay?
2. I haven't taken money out of the accounts since May, reason because I am trying to save up for a study visa to another European country. Is this going to be a problem and for the application question of 'How much do you spend monthly?', how best do I answer it?

Please I would really appreciate your responses. Thank you

Jayyjay:
Hello, Good afternoon everyone, I just received this refusal letter.
Like, as I have mentioned before on this thread, I work remotely with a company in UK, I even submitted the bank statements of the company and in my own statements, every salary I received came with a description of the company's name (I even mentioned this in my cover letter). I receive my salary through Grey and I even talked with their support line and they agreed that I could use my bank statement. Anyway, I know better and hopefully, anyone in my shoes can be aware.
For the 2nd reason, it is funny because on a norm, someone can't have a specific amount he or she spends monthly and based on what I read here, I wrote the highest I ever spent in 6 months, so I won't come off as a dishonest person.

Please if you know anything I can do better in case of next time, I would appreciate it if you could let me know because I was really careful during this application

TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Jayyjay: 7:41pm On Jun 20, 2023
Thank you..I once opened a domiciliary account, I guess I would have to move my funds to that account and get paid there for the main time. Will this be sufficient? If yes, since the visa is for business not tourism, how long do you think I can wait before I reapply?
Thegamingorca:
Okay,

1) in the name of God and all the archangels in heaven, don't ever use that employer as your employer on a UK visa application form ever again. The documents you forwarded suggesting you worked with them were found wanting.

2) Get some bank in Nigeria (if you live in Naija) or any real bank any country with accountants with flesh and bones in their body that can be reached by the embassy wherever you are based and let your UK company be depositing the funds there.

3) Be frugal with spending. Earning 500 pounds and spending almost half every month doesn't speak well for your monthly disposable income. The ECO did not say it but 2200 pounds is well above your freaking disposable income for god's sake. Automatically what's going on in the ECO's mind is that "what if his employer pulls the rug and the 2000 pounds don't come?" he will think this one is going to come here to live on life support and public funds.

[quote author=Thegamingorca post=123900588]What makes you think I find this funny?? I said the 2nd reason is funny because am I expected to have a static monthly expenses which you yourself stated. My monthly expenses were between 200-250gbp, so pls don't be in a hurry to judge and conclude. Additionally, I am not aware that I can provide less than 6 months' bank statements because 6 months is what is clearly written in the requirements.
Half of what I posted is on the bank issues but you chose to believe I am not 'talking about it and how to solve it'.

Please the major reason I posted the refusal here is because of the bank issues and how I can solve it because I plan on applying for a study visa to Italy, so if anyone knows how I can handle this please let me know .

I picked assisted services, do all my supporting documents has to be in coloured or black and white is okay..especially bank statements pls
babylawyr:
Hi, I will respond as I see you tried to PM me.

1. Employment letter is your appointment letter given to you when you were first employed. An introduction letter is issued by your employer addressed to the British High commission, basically stating your name, role, passport number, the reason for your trip and tentative dates for the trip. And a contact number. Since your office is sponsoring you, the letter should also state that and what is covered e.g. flight, accommodation etc. A simple Google search will show many samples and templates.

2. Please attach your payslip. Ask your office accounts/finance dept to create/generate on the letterhead of the company and sign. Your bank statement is required as well for this application, to show corresponding payments between payslip and bank credits. I am not sure if employer's bank statements is required, I did not attach any for my application.

3. Invoices for salary?? This is where you lost me. I have assumed you're a contractor or consultant for this organisation not an employee of the company. Whatever the case, let your introduction letter state your exact situation with the company that is sponsoring you.

Careful with terminology, don't destroy your chances because you have used the wrong language.
Good luck

Please guys, my company is sponsoring my visit and my biometrics is in a few days. What is the difference between an introduction letter by employer and a letter of employment?, if you can send a sample I would appreciate it.

Second of all, is it compulsory to attach payslips? I have my bank statement showing I receive salary from my company's bank account and there are invoices I send before my salary is processed, and I will also be attaching my company's bank statement. Are these okay or if not, can we generate payslips now? Please I would love immediate response pls

I picked assisted service, can I go with black and white or it has to be coloured? In TLS Ikeja
Thegamingorca:
I don't know for sure, but I don't think they will be willing to help even if somehow they could upload, since you initially went with self upload.

They will rather squeeze face and tell you, "ho ha!" that you went with self service and there is nothing that can be done. Infact from their behaviour they will rather you miss this appointment and book assisted or prime time. grin

Your only saviour that day may be if you agree to do primetime. Lol

Their Shakara too much, as though they were the custodians of the keys to heaven. What's worse is they will make you upload black and white documents if you choose assisted.

I really hate those guys at TLS Abuja, so uncouth grin.
