More evil in just 3 years compared to 16 years of PDP. Both of them are incompetent though. Restructuring is the answer now.
PoliticsRegister In Your Ward, APC Tells Ex-borno Gov by Jazzlite(op): 5:42am On Apr 27, 2018
..
The national leadership of the All Progressives Congress has asked a former National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Senator Ali Modu Sheriff, who has expressed his desire to join the ruling party in Abuja, to do so at his ward.

Sheriff was scheduled to visit the national headquarters of the party in Abuja by noon on Thursday with his supporters, where he would have declared for the party.

He was billed to be received by the National Chairman of the APC, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, and other members of the party’s National Working Committee.

However, our correspondent observed that none of the national officers of the party was on the ground to receive the former governor of Borno State.

This action, it was gathered, was an indication to Sheriff and his supporters that the party was not favourably disposed to his joining the party.

A three-paragraph statement was nevertheless issued by the National Publicity Secretary of the ruling party, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, in which he directed Sheriff to join the party in his ward.

The statement read, “Our attention has been drawn to reports in some sections of the media that the former factional chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Senator Ali Modu Sheriff, plans to defect to the All Progressives Congress today at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja.

“While we are aware of such intentions, we wish to restate our earlier position that anyone who wants to join the party should do so at the ward level.

“We are happy to welcome new members to our party, but membership cards are not issued at the party National Secretariat.”

Our correspondent gathered that there had been moves in the past by the former senator to join the APC, which were resisted by some interests within the party.

For example, the Borno State Governor, Alhaji Kashim Shettima, was said to have opposed the move.

A source at the national secretariat told our correspondent that the governor informed the party’s leadership on Wednesday night and Thursday morning about the alleged dangers that the APC would face in Borno State if Sheriff was allowed to join the party.

Sheriff was said to have erroneously believed that the coast was clear for him to join the APC on Wednesday when he allegedly informed the party’s leadership about his plan.

This was confirmed by the publicity department of the ruling party, which sent invitations to reporters on the proposed visit.

The invitation message received from the party by journalists covering the party read, “The former factional chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Senator Ali Modu Sheriff, accompanied by his supporters will be at the All Progressives Congress National Secretarial tomorrow (Thursday) by 12noon.”

PoliticsBuhari Presiding Over A Killer Govt —fayose by Jazzlite(op): 5:33am On Apr 27, 2018
..
The Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has described President Muhammadu Buhari as a captured president who has been reduced to offering condolences to Nigerians slaughtered by herdsmen instead of taking firm action to stop the atrocities.

Reacting to the latest killings by Fulani herdsmen in Benue State, Fayose wondered why a retired Army General and one-time military Head of State who contested and won election on the premises of providing security to the citizens had suddenly become a lame duck.

“This is a killer government. It is shameful that Nigerians are dying daily with Buhari clueless and incompetent to handle the crisis.

“It is beyond dispute that the Buhari administration has lost the battle against insurgency and the Fulani herdsmen. Buhari is helpless as he is reduced to offering condolences on a daily basis.

“Nigerians are dying on a daily basis. Innocent souls are being wasted by herdsmen and the Buhari administration has lost all moral right to continue in office. Why is he still sitting in office? Doing what, if I may ask,” the governor said.

Fayose, in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Idowu Adelusi, said the Peoples Democratic Party government under ex-President Goodluck Jonathan was a golden era compared with the APC government.
He said, “The same Jonathan administration era is now looking like the golden age of security of lives and properties in Nigeria.

“At no period since 1999 has life been this cheap. Life has become nasty, brutish, and short under the Buhari administration.”

Fayose also expressed misgivings about recent spate of controversial judgments by courts which he said gave the impression of collusion between unscrupulous judges and the Buhari administration to truncate democracy and lead the country into anarchy.

“The situation is getting so bad that we do not know whether the constitution of the country has been unofficially suspended.

“Nigerians have been unlucky with Buhari as president. He is too old, too analogue, too incompetent, too clueless and is not ready to admit and yield for a competent leader. This country has never had it this bad. Gradually, Buhari is becoming a maximum ruler,” he added.

Now truth is finally hitting home
PoliticsKillings: Catholic Bishops Ask President Buhari To Resign- PUNCH by Jazzlite(op): 5:24am On Apr 27, 2018
.
Amidst growing concerns about the recent killings by suspected Fulani herdsmen in the country, including two Catholic priests and 15 other worshippers in Benue State, the Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to resign.

The CBCN urged President Buhari to stop presiding “over the killing fields and mass graveyard” that the country had allegedly become and choose the part of honour by considering “stepping aside to save the nation from total collapse.”

The CBCN made the call in a communique signed by its President, Most Rev. Augustine Akubeze, and Secretary, Most Rev. Camillus Umoh, and made available to The PUNCH on Thursday evening.

The bishops, in the communique titled, “When will this barbarism end?” condemned the increasing attacks by the suspected herdsmen, whom they said had turned the country into a massive graveyard.

They also described the killing of the priests and 15 parishioners in the Gwer East Local Government Area of Benue State on Tuesday as a dastardly act that was “carefully planned.”

The communique read in part, “That our two priests, Fr. Joseph Gor and Fr. Felix Tyolaha, along with their parishioners were waylaid in the course of the celebration of the Holy Mass early in the morning, suggests very clearly that their murder was carefully planned. This wicked act cannot be said to be a revenge attack (as is often claimed).

“Whom have these priests attacked? Indeed, we have just discovered that on January 3, this year, Fr. Gor tweeted, ‘We are living in fear. The Fulani are still around here in Mbalom (where they (priests) were killed). They refuse to go. They still go grazing around. No weapons to defend ourselves.’

“Their desperate cries for security and help went unheeded by those who should have heard them. They could have fled but, true to their vocation, they remained to continue to serve their God unto death.”

The communique continued, “We are sad. We are angry. We feel totally exposed and most vulnerable. Faced with these dark clouds of fear and anxiety, our people are daily being told by some to defend themselves.

“But defend themselves with what? The Federal Government, whose primary responsibility it is to protect lives, for its part alleges that those who ask the people to defend themselves are inciting them to take the laws into their own hands. But how can the Federal Government stand back while its security agencies deliberately turn a blind eye to the cries and waillings of helpless and harmless citizens who remain sitting ducks in their homes, farms, highway and now, even in sacred places of worship?”

The Catholic bishops lamented that in spite of several calls on the President in the last two years to reconfigure his security apparatus and strategy, “which the President has deliberately placed in the hands of the adherents of only one religion,” and the lack of confidence expressed by the CBCN in the security agencies, the bloodletting and destruction of homes and farmlands had increased “with intensity and brutality.”

They also noted that the rate of insecurity in Nigeria had become an embarrassment in the international community, as the Catholic body found it difficult to continue to give excuses about the continuous killings in the country, where “a nation’s landscape is littered with the bodies of its own citizens.

“We are sad and fear that the clock is ticking. The bomb must be defused quickly before it explodes,” the statement added.

It continued, “Since the President, who appointed the heads of the nation’s security agencies has refused to caution them even in the face of the chaos and barbarity into which our country has been plunged, we are left with no choice but to conclude that they are acting a script that he approves of. If the President cannot keep our country safe, then he automatically loses the trust of the citizens.

“He should no longer continue to preside over the killing fields and mass graveyard that our country has become. Repeated calls from us and many other Nigerians on the President to take very drastic and urgent steps to reverse this ugly tragedy that threatens the foundation of our collective existence and unity as a nation have fallen on deaf ears.

“It is clear to the nation that he has failed in his primary duty of protecting the lives of the Nigerian citizens. Whether this failure is due to inability to perform or lack of political will, it is time for him to choose the part of honour and consider stepping aside to save the nation from total collapse.”

The bishops further advised Nigerians to be courageous and stand for their fundamental rights to life and security, even as it faulted the recent mop-up exercise by the Nigeria Police, “since those we pay to protect us have failed to do their duty.”

The statement added, “Government should encourage and empower citizens to secure themselves and their environments. This is not the time to disarm people with legally procured weapons of self defence.

“These are not normal times, since those we pay to protect us have failed to do their duty. Nigeria can return to normal times, if we put our heads together with sincerity.”

Actually, no. That would have no connection whatsoever with this specific case.

This is about other possible explanations for the scenario I painted above.

Why exactly would the vin itself be ‘compromised’ in the situation you referred to? This isn’t about a vehicle VIN coming up as belonging to a similar vehicle, which is what would happen in the situation you mentioned.

It’s about a vehicle vin being nonexistent and invalid.
All falls under compromised VIN or inconsistent VIN.

A. In the case of a vehicle involved in a accident...that part of the front chassis had to be cut off.... and replaced....the VIN will definitely be compromised.
