I've been on both sides and can speak both ways.

As a buyer, trust in seller to deliver on promise, timing and assurance of getting value for money is essential.

As the seller, giving timely updates and managing the customers expectations appropriately is priceless. When things go wrong communicate accordingly even though its really tough.

Above all, ask yourself what you'll expect as a customer and do that or more for your client even though most times it goes unappreciated in the short term but time will tell.

This is a brilliant idea.
However, I feel it gives the impression that everyone visiting wants to buy a car.

My suggestion is to try out this idea on the bulk section(which I presume is designed for those seeking to buy cars) and see how it plays out.

In the meantime, if a decision is made to follow through with the initial idea, it may require more broader categories/sub categories such as adverts, enquiries, comments, questions etc

The overall idea would be, if I come on and I want to buy a car, make enquiries, advertise or what ever, I can either go to a section or I am able to filter the posts and see what is available.

I bet this would entail a great deal of work but its worth considering

This is a valid point. Its called loss of use. Most insurance policy marketers are silent about this and other points like the excess buy back.

I suppose this is because these two elements increase the percentage to be paid as premium and people are more interested in the cheapest offer.

The loss of use would also indicate how much u'll be paid if u dont have ur car and for how long you'll get that pay.

Another point to note is that, at the point of renewal every year, u have an option of keeping the initial value of the car or depreciating the value as well as provision for discount in premium depending on the initial premium charged.

My candid advice is to read through the policies well and ask relevant questions(like u are doing), I didn't get to know all these until last year, after running a comprehensive insurance policy for over 4yrs.

The basic challenge usually is keeping up with the premium payment annually because once u default and something goes wrong you aint covered. Also, an assurance of getting prompt claims settlement is important. I've never made claims before but I've seen people go through a lot of hassle to get repairs done after an accident.

You could get a comprehensive insurance for 5% of the vehicle's worth and I would advice you also install a tracker on it.

Hey, the truck sure looks nice  , not just sure of the difference btw the 73 model and the required 78-81 model (u can educate me on that, if u dont mind).

Meanwhile, I'm already negotiating on 2 other options that fit d specs.
Either way I'll keep this option open admist others for consideration.

Yeah, I remember Uncle Joe and his point shoe and cowboy hat.
It was showing on LTV back then.
Infact I remember seeing the guy around my area back then in Ifako Ijaiye(most of the shooting was done there) with his 504.

Since the market is in Lagos, U may consider getting someone in Lagos to help market your cars or may be consider a place to keep your car in Lagos and market there for a while before moving it to Abeokuta, Just my piece of advice
