A princess is as old as the prince will be when the princess is twice the age that the prince was when the princess's age was half the sum of their present ages. If the princess is 40 now, how old is the prince? |
Caracta: IMO, just a mere mis-calculation. Instead of $25, $30 was charged, so $5 must be returned. $3 is given to the three guys, $2 is given to the delivery boy.Accepted Numero uuuno: i wouldn't need to convince anybody i spent $9.33 because you explained in the question that the waiter has took $2 as tip.Accepted NB: The question is actually ambiguous & doesn't have a definite answer but it demands reasoning wide to understand and produce an answer. Kudos guys. |
NEW FRAUD........READ,IT'S IMPORTANT PLS Given below is what happened to someone and he has narrated this in his own words: " I received a call from someone claiming that he was from my Mobile Service Provider and he asked me to shutdown my phone for 2 hours for 3G update to take place. As I was rushing for a meeting,I did not question, but just shut down my cell phone. After 45 minutes I felt uncomfortable with my phone bin off, and also the caller did not even introduce his name.So I quickly turned on my cell phone and saw several texts from my family members and the others were from the number that had called me earlier. I called my parents and I was shocked that they sounded very worried asking me whether I was safe.My parents told me that they had received a call from someone claiming that they had me with them and asking for money to set me free. The call was so real and my parents even heard 'my voice' crying out loud asking for help.My father was at the bank waiting for next call to proceed for money transfer.I told my parents that I am safe and asked them to lodge a police report. Right after that, I received another call from the guy asking me to shutdown my cell phone for another 1 hour which I refused to do and hung up. They kept calling my cell phone until the battery had run down. I myself lodged a police report and I was informed by the officer that there were many such scams reported. MOST of the cases reported that the victim had already transferred the money! And it is impossible to get back the money." Pls Be careful as you or any other close relative or friend may be the next victim of this kind of scam!!! These guys are so professional and very convincing during calls. They also probably use any of these harvesting softwares to extract numbers of your family members and friends to perpetrate their acts. If you are asked to shut down your cell phone for updates by any service provider, PLS DO NOT! You can call your service provider to make confirmations of any suspicious texts or e-mails as it could come in such forms too! Your family members or friends might receive similar calls. "Be Safe and Stay Alert !" Please pass the message around via your BBMs or Whatsapp or any of your other social media. If you hav information about any other new method of scamming by these faceless individuals pls feel free to share as it would go a long way in preventing such frauds. God bless us Nairalanders......God bless us Nigerians.....God bless us Africans.......God bless us All. |
bukatyne: It is not enough to teach them, our lives must portray what we are teaching them.In summary, Practice what you Preach ![]() bukatyne: The relationship between parents also goes a very long way to impart these kids. Imagine a family where the husband beats his wife or cheats on her & he is still teaching his females about self esteem. In summary, Action speaks louder than Words *@bukatyne. Ur always on point. Wu Zetian: First step into teaching most of 50calibre: Is that so! So you wouldn't have problems providing for your family, while your husband babysits the kids at home?Gbam! Exactly my point! You just shot the bullet in the proper direction. * Who gives birth & can take care of the kids much more properly? The Lady. * Who can take care of the home much more properly? The Lady. * Who should be able to give all these trainings jidegirl12 has outlined more properly to the girls and also the boys? The Lady * These teachings Abt gender equality, in my own opinion is not right. We were not made equal so it shouldn't be a competition. * Rather let each of the two genders be taught their different roles. Else we'll end up having career women that don't even know their husbands & their children .....and they believe they r making so much money than their spouses and thus prefer to bring their younger sisters/ cousins/ nieces/ househelps to come and play the role of mother to their children and of cos the role of "*****" to their husbands. |
jidegirl12: 6. EQUAL TO MEN bukatyne: Do you believe in the bolded? Not in its entirety! |
Don't you think I can giv them gifts&presents when such days n months arrive? |

Numero uuuno: They paid $30 for 3 pizzas which worths $25Thank you! For your reply. So let's assume you r one of the fellows and you initially gave $10 and you r later refunded with $1, then how in Heaven's name do you intend to convince me you spent $9.33 ![]() |
Babe2sure: True or false?False ke? Cmon Babe think well abt it. |
BabaAlabi: Teach her not to think every relationship is about money!! To date a Naija girl these days is like dating a prostitute.True word! Imagine that a number of the good guys help sponsor a girl to school with the aim of probably settling down with her. He denies himself the 'goodies' of life just to prove his undying love only for the girl, who probably is now abt to finish her studies, to remember that the guy uses an old fashioned Honda(or doesn't even hav a car yet) + so many other flimsy excuses and thus the reason she can no longer settle down with him and you all know the rest of the story........ (*seems like prostitution to me*). Which brings me to the question: isn't love part of what parents shud teach their children?. Cos am guessing that some parents teach their children smartness more than they teach love. |
Who r the 'we' that hav days n months in common? |
zeelo2014: Will they listen? Most naija girls all what they know is: Give me! Give me!! Dash me! Dash me!! Pls I need you assistance! What can you do for me! I need ! I need!! Don't be stingy!I feel you broda, and I guess that is one of the reasons why Jidegirl is advocating that these ideals be taught to them from a young age. Some parents r getting it so wrong by over-pampering their daughters I shud say.....thus if a girl has always bin used to getting what she wants just because she's a girl, you can't expect her behavior to change much when she's grown. |

Nothing you can do with maths applies after reading this. I think that all structural calculations I have ever done are now invalid because of the flawed system: Three guys in a hotel call room service and order two large Pizzas. The delivery boy brings them up with a bill for exactly $30.00. Each guy gives him a $10.00 bill, and he leaves. When he hands the $30.00 to the cashier, he is told a mistake was made. The bill was only $25.00, not $30.00. The cashier gives the delivery boy five $1.00 bills and tells him to take it back to the 3 guys who ordered the pizza. On the way back to their room, the delivery boy has a thought. These guys did not give him a tip. He figures that since there is no way to split $5.00 evenly three ways anyhow, he will keep two dollars for himself and give them back three dollars. OK! So far so good! He knocks on the door and one fellow answers. He explains about a mix up in the bill, and hands the guy the three dollars, and then departs with his two-dollar tip in his pocket. Now the fun begins! Remember $30 - $25 = $5 Right? $5 - $3 = $2 Right? So what's the problem? All is well, right? Not quite. Answer this: Each of the three guys originally gave $10.00 each. They each got back $1.00 in change. That means they paid $9.00 each, which times three is $27.00. The delivery boy kept $2.00 for a tip. $27.00 plus $2.00 equals $29.00. Where the heck is the other dollar? |

All the same(if ur 19th century were to be changed to 20th century then what I wud think is that since that since the discussion was in the 20s and there hadn't been any other World Wars then there shudnt hav been any reference to a part 1 when a part 2 hasn't been fought. So he shud hav just said the World War and not World War I |
about 12 soldiers gathered around a fire one night during a civil war in a far away country around late 20's in the 19th century. they told stories to keep themselves busy, sam told his story ending it wif d medal of honor dat his father was given that had d tag 'WORLD WAR I' few months after the first world war for his bravery during the war. the rest of the soldiers busted into laughter pointing out that sam was a liar. how did they know?
aibee01: Coz ww1 azin't bn fought den....it waz in d 20th centuryThis answer may be said to be correct based on the contents of the question because the 19th century was a period btw 1801 and 1900 inclusive while the world war 1 was fought btw 1914 and 1918 which lies within the 20th century(1901 to 2000 inclusive). We r currently in the 21st century which started from 2001 and will end in 2100.
it was in d 19th century nau
So no it was in the 20th century. |
