Guess people should start going for Fedex maybe? The embassy itself delays people enough, why are they adding theirs!! You finally got urs picked right? |

arieshybrid: Sorry, do you mean he submitted his passport, or had his interview, and got a response in 5working days or what? Am sorry in advance for the folks that might see this question funny, well am a newbie trying to catch up with the trend.
One question: - When i receive the admission letter, and i have my block account open, with bank letter in hand, please what's the process to apply for the visa, i mean the duration of visa application to getting the visa.
Thank you all for everly matured response.
God bless all, and may he grant us all our heart desires.
Thank you in advance. Of course I was talking about passport submission for Visa. Your other question I think I already answered today. Focus on getting the admission letter first!! Then we can take it from there when you do, or better still you may read up this thread from start and surely you will know everything. Cheers. |

Car Talk › Re: Throttle Sensor Always Getting Bad by jbonito(m): 8:01am On Apr 05, 2017 |
AutoElectNG: Vapid
This guy had your problem, if not the same, very close.
He says that he scanned the vehicle, but you have not indicated that yours was scanned.
He says he got DTCs, but you have not indicated that you got DTCs. Neither have you shared them here!
He says that he replaced the part with tokunbo, you say you replaced the part with tokunbo thrice!
He says that his check engine light went off after the part was replaced, it is clear that your check engine light stayed back on after the part was replaced.
So in effect you wasted money, because the problem was not resolved.
So you need to know the DTC(s), you need to know the resolution process for the DTC, you need to know what values to expect from the sensor in other words live data, put another way a scan tool is required to verify the repair.
Only after the repair has been verified, that is only after the tokunbo part has proved that is within acceptable specifications, should you pay for that part.
Otherwise, you will run around in circles.
Find someone who can confirm that the APP sensor is your only problem, if they are having problems finding a good used part, then import a known good new one, and you should be fine.
Morale: A tokunbo part can be bad or good, as the poster am quoting has indicated and your experience also shows, but there is a way to know before parting with cash. I have a personal experience in which a MAF used worked but was providing false values, without a scan tool you would never know. Another MAF tokunbo replaced it, but this one sent out outputs within specification
Be properly guided, and stop wasting your funds in this recession! Thank you!! You made sense absolutely. |

chrisley024: Embassy just making free money for the insurance coy especially now that it's 6 months. Lol! I think the months you are asked to provide depends on how long the visa you are getting is. i.e. 3 months travel insurance for 3 months visa. They do not know for sure if you will travel same month you got your visa or 2 months after which the travel insurance will still be valid of course. All in all, the insurance not usable outside Nigeria means it's a loss on our part. |

EmekaMD: I've been outside Nigeria for years now and I'm not sure what the exchange rate is. And I can't rely on the information on the internet (currency converter) as it varies with the parallel market rate At the moment Form A is working and that depends on each bank rate. Parallel market you can get a general view on abokifx website. All I'm saying is, if you go with current naira rate now since you are not paying this very month, it could be different by next month cos Ninja exchange rate is unpredictable. Cheers. |

Gbaski247: Please, do DHL need letter of authorization before picking up passport from German Consulate. I've submitted my passport for the past two weeks and I've not heard anything from DHL. I wrote them this morning and they told me that I have to give them letter of authorization. Have anyone done that? Someone I know submitted last Tuesday and got his package this Monday!!5 working days. Something is wrong bro, don't sit at home ooo. Better follow up on your package. Cheers |

Caliph69: You can use AXA Mansard (about 23k) or AIICO (about 25k). It will last for the first six months of your stay over there. Are you talking about the travel insurance you buy to pick up your Visa in Nigeria? If yes then it's misleading to say it will be used in Germany as a regular health insurance. I believe the moment you arrive you will need to get a Real Health insurance by a German provider. What you buy here is just 'travel insurance' Cheers. |
Travel › Re: General German Visa Enquiries Part 3 by jbonito(m): 6:21am On Apr 05, 2017 |
OJCITY22: It depends on current exchange rate. Starting from 3.5m will do I think Some weeks ago,you needed 4 million. 3.5 will work now cos of Form A and exchange rate getting better. It's better one deals with the Euro amount then when you are ready to pay, find out based on current exchange rate. |

arieshybrid: Good day all,
Please, just few questions:
- whats the best and easiest way to make payment to uni-assist, i was at the bank today and i was told that i must have a dorm account to transfer. Also its stated on uni-assist that nigerian issued cards aint accepted. - is it a must to have student insurance before booking for the interview - lastly, how long does it take to get a response from the embassy after the interview
Thank you. 1. When you are ready to pay for Uni-assist, make it known here. There are guys already in Germany who will help you pay while you transfer Naira equivalent to their account. If you actually read pages back you will see some stating they should be contacted for Uni-assist payment. 2. NO 3. Why don't you get to that bridge to cross it? No point asking this when you don't even have an admission letter. Haba! Cheers |

EmekaMD: Hello house.. I've been following in ghost mode and I must confess that I've learnt a lot here..
But I've got a concern
I read in part one of his thread that u need 1.8m in naira for the blocked German bank account.. But that post was supposedly in 2012 So since there things have changed a lot wit exchange rate.. How much does one need to deposit now in naira equivalent?
I know the information is there in German embassy website, but I want a first hand experience from a recent applicant 8790 Euros.... Do the math. |
