Hello guys... its been a while. good job by all in here. Please a friend of mine is in urgent need of answers/solution. He applied for block account 2nd week of feb and did his interview last week but yesterday, he received a message from deutsche bank which reads
"We received your order for opening a blocked account for foreign students. Unfortunately we have to inform you, that we cannot open the account. You have not shown a completely, plausible and latest proof of the source of funds. If the funds are not transferred by yourself, the sponsor must be specified by its full name and the statement of the sponsor has to presented."

He used a fixed account belonging to a friend with roughly 6.5m in there and also attached the authorization letter from friend. His enrolment deadline in 3rd April.

A second block account application is not advisable due to limited time. My man is in a bad state at the moment. Any suggestions/ solution would be highly appreciated.

Hello Sir!! He can still get it done!! I did my block account application Feb 27, and it arrived DB office Hamburg on Friday. I got my account details today!! So it took 2-3 days to open. Did he specify the name of the friend as well on the last form he sent? I mean wrote the full name as it is on the account? I do not know if being a fixed account was the problem though. But if he could get another account or fix the problem then it is possible for him to get the account opened and funded before the end of the month. It seems applications are not much for DB now. Let him hurry.

Please did you also waited for the embassy to instruct you to fund your db account? Like when did you found the db account before getting the visa

Bro. Just go ahead and fund your DB account and send the confirmation to the embassy. Believe your visa is almost on the way, so do not let funding delay it.

i used the checklist on the german site buut it was not entirely followed.

I want to apply for the winter semester of RHEIN WAAL university of applied sceince Msc Economics and finance..but i am quite confused with what i saw as the requirements of application..I already have a ''Bsc Degree Economics and Statistics UNIBEN upper class'' and this was what i saw as d requirements.

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS;
Please note that for Master's degree programmes, English language skills at level B2 are required. Please be aware that all applicants' test report form numbers will be checked.

IELTS: 6.0 - 6.5

Now these are my questions please,,,,
(1)for the language Requirement,since i already have my Bsc of which all its courses were taught in English,, does it mean i do not need to sit for any of the above ''Test of English language as foreign language''?

(2)Academic Requirements,,like i said i have a Bsc on Economics and Statistics from University of Benin (Uniben) upper divission 3.62 as CGPA..I do not know if this is up to a German grade of 2.5 or higher or an ECTS grade of A or B ....lastly i have no idea on how to get the German entrance qualification for universities of applied sciences or equivalent,since it was slated on the Academic requirement which most be added to my Bsc degree...

Lemme chip in from the little I know!
1. No! You do not NEED to sit for any of the English exams but if you have the time and money, it wont hurt you by doing it.

2. From the top of my head I can't pick out the formula for converting grades from Ninja to German for you ( I read it somewhere on this thread a long time ago, just make a keyword search on google and add Nairaland at the tail end of ur search ) but I do know your 3.6 is good enough.

Also German university entrance or equivalent surely has to be your O'levels. ( I stand to be corrected ), so I think you are good to go. If you are in any doubt, Mail the program coordinator with your transcript and ask both question about English requirements and Uni entrance equivalent. No go ask about CGPA conversion oooo. You can do that urself.

Yeah! Your passport number is what you put there as Tax id.

Don't sign anything until you get to the Consulate. More importantly fill everyother thing with the system but don't fill in the place and date columns before your signatures. You will sign write these and sign in the presence of the officer on the day of your appointmen; it's stated there in the form guideline.

For the anticipated fund, just put €2000, cos you must show you have about €17,000 if you put €8640. THAT I THINK WAS WHY MY ACCOUNT WAS NOT OPENED LAST YEAR. My new account was opened in just a week this time around

In most cases it does cover but people still end up deferring their admission while other change from uni to uni or uni to tafe. In such case, you do need to show ielts and bankstatement for your visa to be granted.

Anyone can be you sponsor for AL1 applicants.
You need to show your relationship with your sponsor.
You need a sponsorship letter stating how this person has supported you in the past or why they are supporting you now.
Provide supporting documents of your school fees they have paid in the past.

There is no fixed or specific amount.But its logical to use an account statement with equivalent of €8800 upward.You can benchmark the exchange rate at 500 because thats the reality on ground.Another hint is you can combine multiple bank statement to be on the safer side.
