How will a lunatic be insulting people and assassinating their intelligence anyhow he likes yet the platform admin can't do anything to stop him? I'm tired of reading his derogatory rhetorics.

This Labadi69 in insane. Really insane. I reported him to Nairaland admin but nothing was done to bring him under control. Nairaland, I quit tonight. I don't allow negative energies with poor upbringing around me. I'm tired of reading his derogatory comments.

Hey prospective applicants, requesting for assistance with SOP and CV doesn't mean you are dull. Don't let anybody kill your morale. Ask for samples of SOP and CV from successful folks to make yours so you won't write nonsense. Don't plagiarize. Plagiarism is an academic offence and try to write your SOP yourself. Just think! You can do it.

You want to go and do masters and you can’t write an ordinary statement of purpose and resume? May yamayama fall on that your dull head. You don’t deserve to be admitted and you will be taking the place of someone who deserves it more. God help us in this country. Very disappointing angry

Do you have to insult the writer's intellect? You don't have to be rude as if you know all. You aren't God. I have seen plenty intelligent hopefuls requesting for assistance with SOP and CV. Stop acting like God. Be humble. I checked through your posts all you do is insult people. That's a bad character.

Hi Jboss, did you pay the $75 application fee or you got a waiver?

My application fee was waived by my department courtesy of my Supervisor. Message your Program Graduate Director to ask for application fee waiver. He/she will brief you the modality.

You're always adviced to go without agent for this US F1 visa "hustle". Any information you want has been posted here if you read through previous threads - I can bet you'll find what you're looking for. Many (not all) of these agents are just after how to get your money. And you can always ask questions, there are people just like myself that can answer such. With CGPAs of even 2.75/5.0 you can get a direct masters to schools in the US. You just have to know the right school to apply to, and know how to finetune your profile to fit into what the school requires. By fine-tuning I mean your Statement of Purpose is one of the most important documents after your transcripts. You have to sell yourself, there is more to you than your CGPA. Am I right?

You are right brother. Most of these agents are scammers and the genuine ones among them will use you to make money. Also they won't put their best to work for you especially helping you to get Assistantship with full tuition waiver. Hopefuls, nairaland taught me most of I know today. Calm down, take days to read through previous thread and part. This MSc in US requires you do it yourself. Having a high CGPA is good, but if you have 2.2 you can still get Admission. Ignore those discouraging you. I GOT ADMITTED TO VIRGINIA TECH WITH FULL FUNDING AND MONTHLY STIPEND. I DIDN'T WRITE ANY STANDARDIZED TEST AND I GRADUATED WITH 2.2. FIRE YOUR SHOT, but make your application strong through good CV and SOP. I uploaded samples of academic CV for those interested.

Okay all these talk and not even one school that accepts a 2.2 was dropped?!!
Nice!!

Ogar, he didn't ask for schools. I was proving to him that it is possible to get a fully funded program in the US with a 2.2 without GMAT, GRE and English proficiency test so he won't discourage others. The requirements for each department isn't the same within a school. I don't know his field of study and interest. I was advising hopefuls to make their application strong so they would shot just once and hit the target. Peace

If you are looking for a fully funded program make sure you have a Faculty before you apply. Prepare your application well and make it strong through your SOP and CV. Academic CV can be more than seven pages. Study the literature and identify lapses within your field. 2.2 graduate above 3 points in Nigeria system can get a fully funded program with a strong application. DON'T BE LAZY.

Some people are so lazy that they want people to give them name of schools, departments and even faculties to consult. How can such cope with the rigours of research? There are thousands of schools in US for crying out loud. School that accepted Mr. A may not accept you. Search for yours through the net. Make sure the School and Department have good funding for your program before you apply. If they don't, apply elsewhere.

Nothing is unreal bro. People get fully funded Assistantship with 2.2; No GRE, GMAT or test of English proficiency even in schools among top 100 in the US. Establish a good connection with a Faculty in your prospective school before you apply. Study the literature and write a good SOP focusing on lapses. Search the internet for good format for academic CV and write your CV well. Watch what you post on social media because some Faculties may check you up on platforms before accepting you.

I know a 2:2 graduate that got a fully funded program with good monthly stipend. His application fee was even waived by his Department in courtesy of his Faculty. Don't be lazy and expect people to give you all information you need here. The information shared here are enough for those ready for graduate school.

I feel the guy is cruising us. He had 2,2 with full funding, scholarship and with no exams done. That seems unreal.

Visa Delayed- December 2021
Embassy Location- Abuja
COA- 31k
No Funding
Sponsor- Mum and husband

I’m married and applied with my 2 years old daughter(F2) for MsED in Educational administration as I have been working as a school administrator since I graduated in 2014 in my family owned school and my mum is retiring shortly and I will be fully in charge of the school hence the reason for my masters degree as my first degree is BSc Economics.
My daughter was crying so I was given priority and asked to leave the queue and sent straight to the Black female VO.

Interview
Black young female VO
VO: Goodmorning
Me: Hi, Goodmorning
VO: Tell me about your plans
Baby was uneasy and restless so I was trying to pacify her by shaking her on my shoulder while responding.
Me: I’m going to graduate school for my masters in Educational administration.
VO: What is the duration of your programme?
Me: 24months
VO: Continues typing then asked why this course.
Me: Im working as a school administrator in my family owned school so this will help me acquire necessary skills and knowledge required to effectively manage and administer a school as I will be taking over management of the school once Mum retires in a few years.
VO: What did you study in your first degree?
Me: Economics
VO: who is sponsoring you?
Me: My Mum will cover my tuition while my husband will cover I and my daughter’s living expenses.
VO: What do they do?
Me: My Mum is the Proprietress of the school I currently work while my husband is an auto dealer, he is into import and sales of cars here in Nigeria.
VO: Where will you be staying for the duration of your programme?
Me: Meadows Estate at bleep- it’s a school recognized off campus.
VO: Have you made arrangements for your daughter’s care?
Me: Yes, she will be cared for at child center daycare while I attend lectures.
VO: What’s the population of the school you work?
Me: Student population of roughly 959, staff strength of 36 academic and 22 non academic staffs.
VO: Your husbands business what year did he start?
Me: 2015
VO continues typing for awhile then picks the blue slip and handed over to me with my passport and i20
Me: Is there anything you would have needed more clarification on as you saw I was a bit distracted and unsettled with my baby crying and me trying to pacify her and answering you in between.
VO responds it’s all in the blue slip, you can reapply at a later date.

Gurus in the house, please I need advice as to what went wrong. I already deferred my admission to Fall semester and would be reapplying. I would appreciate suggestions on how to improve my application next time.
And also if I’m asked what has changed since my last application, any suggestions on what to say because I haven’t changed my sponsors or my school.

To the V.O, your husband's business is still a startup. Today's business world is highly competitive and challenging. It is not easy to sponsor someone in a foreign country where tertiary education is expensive like US with funds from a growing business.

I would advise you to use the school's account next time since you work there or apply for loan. Mpower Financing and Prodigy would give you loan without cosigner if you meet their requirements. Also, sell the school to the V.O next time and be precise with number of students and staff strength. Don't say roughly........
Good luck ma.

The V.O wasn't convinced your funding is capable.
