If one is going as a self-employed and you actually own and run the business yourself, is it true that you need to be paying yourself salary every month, like you need to show proof that you've been paying yourself. |

GL Ok, thank you. And someone said it's her maiden name cos her valid ID I'll be submitting bears her maiden name that's why i had to ask. |

Good day famz, please is it necessary to Notarize a consent letter from my spouse? |
Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by JDB55(m): 11:13am On Dec 10, 2022 |
johnstan: By consent letter, do you mean letter of sponsorship? I'm not clear on what a spousal consent letter is.
If you mean a letter stating that she's fine with your plans and will efficiently take care of your fam in your absence then you can go ahead to draft a letter to that effect. Depending on the length of time you will be away, explain the things you've put In place to ensure she is able to hold and support the fam till your return.
If you mean a sponsorship letter then that entails you drafting one stating how much she's willing to set aside for your studies or the bills she's willing to pay on your behalf. Thank you for your response bro, the first answer to my question has given me the answer i need to my question. |

You can request for a reference letter through any of the bank branches irrespective of where your account is domiciled.

Goodluck Thank you, i was able to get across to my account officer and she was able to get it done for me. BTW, i was charged N537.50 for it. |

They however dropped 3 occupations that were previously on there

Thomsyne: Any branch will do. Just go there and request for reference/covering letter. Tell them you want to use it for visa application then give them the address the letter should speak to. They’ll know what to do I just did as you said, btw i have both savings and corporate account with that bank, so my account officer is asking me if i want two references or both account details in one letter, since they're going to the same place. What's your take on this |

This could be God. She had the most imperfect application. No Tuition paid just compulsory fee of 300CAD. Pof was 24M only and nothing else…
Documents Submitted. All IMM documents Other required documents on the GCKey Dad’s Mbs of 24M Mom’s Mbs of 2M plus Her Mbs of 50k.. Lmao Property papers Family pictures
She didn’t submit much… Congratulations to her, i believe her own application should ginger you to refire, i wish you all the best in advance. |

SAF2K: Its Ppr people 3rd attempt, 40yrs Old Lady Thank you Awesome God Long post alert.
I am one person that never wants to leave Nigeria cause of the issues and racism abroad. But that changed when Buhari declared to run for 2nd term in 2018. I was livid and knew he will win and the decay n destruction going on post 2015 will be worst
My fear was for my children, is this the environment i want them to flourish in? So 2018 i began with wes runs, did ietls 2018 ,2019 got into the EE pool with a low score,2019 I pushed my husband to write ietls while his wes runs was completed.
Still we didn't make high scores, so i channelled my quest to pnp, got ita twice from Saskatchewan pnp, and twice the relative that gave me the sponsorship in Saskatchewan declined.
So back to ground zero, 2020 i went for another ietls while 7month pregnant , i received gbas, gbos, chai, then Corona lock down.
Ending 2020 i began searching for schools and applied to different colleges, cos i had 2.2 undergrad and and MBA so i felt getting direct master was impossible
2021 got my admission from centennial college to read project management.
1st app july 16 refused In September or so 2nd app Nov refused jan 20th This 2 app i used Centennial admission, and Gcms notes on both occasions stated lower degree from what i currently have in masters and no job prospects in home country.
After the 1st refusal i started looking for schools for masters. The process was very very daunting, i applied to Royal road Bc and Crandall University NB
Crandall came through for me(Master in Org Management) 3rd App 1st May ppr July 25th 2022
My patience was tested on this journey, i have already started plan b moves to Uk, that by Jan i will be on my way out,as i have 3 Admissions from uk schools in the bag for me.
Documents submitted in all 3 applications are as follows
Passport page School certificates Transcript Embassy reference from my organisation Birth certificate for me ,husband n my 3kids National population cert for the whole family Landed Documents Power of attorney of my mums property Certificate of return Finacial docs (using mybankstatement) LOA Passport photo Cv Family photos
I had my dear friend and colleague who was with me guiding and pushing me from the get go,MO you are the MVP I got inputs from Gms writers justmellow Frank did a great work on my application.
Its not a journey truly for the faint hearted, perseverance is needed and eyes on the ball always, never mind what it takes especially monetery wise. All those expecting or applying push push until u receive yours, God will crown all our efforts in Jesus name.
Where are my fellow Crandall Students Though had to defer to May 23 as slots for September is full already. Thank you Nairaland Family Please, did they request for IELTS from you? |

Teezkid: You can apply for a PGD course, and what you defended in your project doesn’t really have to play much of an effect, all that matters is if you have been working 3-5 years ( career progression), what you also studied in school ( recent graduate; academic progression). a lot of people here apply for pgd courses and still get their visas. Thanks, i studied Education Accountancy and graduated last year. Though, i've been trading digital currency (Cryptocurrency) since when i was in my 200L till date. |

johnstan: Only you can answer these questions honestly, asking here would not change anything if you get what i mean.
Masters programs are generally more expensive than post graduate diploma programs (not always)
A post graduate diploma is a shorter version of a masters program (reduced course load - target is to enhance your skills FOR BETTER JOB OFFER).
A post graduate diploma is not less than a BSC, it is a (program you take after a degree program not before). It is only a red flag if you have a masters degree and then want to go for a PGD but hey people still do that successfully cos after all PGD means post graduate, it does not define what your level of degree should be.
Just calculate your finance, make up your mind and go for it.
Good luck Thanks my bro, your response have been very much helpful |

Trackeo: It looks some how shai....jus go for the masters.....my advice....look for a cheap school offering your course....GRE/GMAT about this one i don't know....for me,this depends on the course you are going for....GRE and GMAT there is a way to waive it....if you do your findings well.... Can't i just go for a PGD instead i'm speaking based on what i can afford. |
Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by JDB55(m): 4:39pm On Jul 21, 2022 |
johnstan: There is no stipulated time for admission, it can take a week, 2 weeks or even a month depending on the school you apply to and your documents. You have 5months from now till January to get your admission and process your visa. Processing these two past your admission date is not something you should be worried about because you can always defer your admission to a later intake. Your worry should be having enough documents to successfully process your visa. Admission is not really much of a hassle especially for PGD programs.
Goodluck. Thanks for your response my bro |

Please, i would like to know if i can apply for admission (winter intake which is January 2023), i don't know how long some schools will take to evaluate my credentials before offering me admission or i should just leave it and apply for either Spring 2023 or Fall 2023.
Your advise please. |
Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by JDB55(m): 11:35pm On Jul 20, 2022 |
Trackeo: Hey.. A (2.1) is good... Buh from the experiences i have had with this admission thing in canada is that they want a well packaged application..For the course aspect, you need to do the findings...you know what you want..you do your research...one of the major angles i should point you to in finding a course is "what did you defend in your seminar"...start from there...in your course there should be branches....list them out....see the synergy btw one of them and your project...then start looking for schools with such....affordable fee....Go through the school requirement( as regards admission to the course) very well....very well... Package your file...apply....your application should be early....Thanks... Thanks for the prompt reply. But, with my 2:1 is it gonna look somehow if one decides to go for a PGD course in a college cos i'm not considering a masters yet cos of the tuition fee but i can afford that of a college. Also, some requires one to have a GMAT/GRE which i don't have any. And lastly what i defended in my project was based on Education. |

Good evening house, i recently got my transcript from my school. I graduated last year though it was supposed to be in 2020 but ASUU strike and the pandemic made it to enter 2021. I studied Education Accountancy and graduated with a 2:1 and i'm looking forward to applying for an admission in any of the colleges. Please, which course can one go for to prove career progression in line with what i have studied.
