Kingkool77: You shouldn't be afraid to name the person here on this platform to warn others that might fall victim. The police is always there if he or she threatens you. I think I might be able to guess who the person is. Does the person username start with S and ends with G ? If your answer is yes then leave the rest to me and I will expose him here. Make i never talk first until when the dude don expose the thief name. I dey here dey wait |

Only1boy: Long post and please don’t mind my typing errors.
Ok so guys. I don jam person wey don chop my money oo. So I met this agent on this platform, I won’t mention his name just yet. He has always been answering my questions and all until we started charting privately. He’s Always answering my questions still and made mention to me that he can help me process my visa application. I doubted it so very much that my spirit didnt go with him but he persuaded me that he is good and professional etc and because of the questions he answered and showed he has ideas I agreed and he charged me 350k and after so much persuading he agreed to 200k then said I should pay for commitment and it would be Half of the money before he can continue answering my questions then I paid 100k after which he shared informations about the process and all then fast forward to few days later he started getting busy and doesn’t want to answer some of my questions. Sometimes he leaves my messages on read. Then I started complaining and told him I dont think I want to continue with him because of the reasons mentioned. It even got to a time I was not free to ask him anything because of how he might respond. Then he said he’s sorry that he’d change and always be available to answer my questions and tell me what I need to do and mot know in the process. Mind you I haven’t gotten my documents ready to start the process sef still waiting on some of my documents before we start. We moved from there but still my spirit wasn’t working with this guy but I kept pushing. Until today that I told him i dont think I Would be able to balance him up the remaining 100k because of some finance issues im starting to have, that I’ll like to do this whole thing myself since this informations are even online. I have not even asked for the 100k I paid. Naso baba start to threaten me that I’ll see what he would do to me in few weeks bla bla bla that he has my informations already and he’ll get to me sending me threat voice notes that I stole his intellectual property that is more thank 200k that I must balance him up even if I am not interested again ooo egbami ooo lol . Now my question is must I continue with somebody i dont want to continue with because he has advised me and given informations on how I’ll go about thr whole thing after my first 100k, we didn’t even sign any agreement that I must complete the job with him funny enough we’ve not started yet. Please house what do you advice I do Bro, there's nothing to be worried about. From the way he sounded, it's very obvious that he has a dubious attitude. Such person might even jeopardize your application if you later allowed him to handle it. And the funny part of it is that, all those information he claimed to be his "intellectual property" were all gotten here and i'm sure the person targets only newbies. You can't find him answering other people's questions apart from newcomers. And lastly, kindly drop his username and phone number if possible, so that other people can avoid him like plague. |

ShowYoung: What happens if you still haven't been able to get your transcript by Jan? Ahhh... God forbid, i'm positive i'll get it before Sept. i'm tired walahi |

ShowYoung: Get your transcript first so as to consider a post graduate study (PGD or Masters): without your undergraduate transcript and certificate, you will be seen as a secondary school cert holder.
Some colleges or universities may be able to give you a conditional offer of admission though.
You can go for Accounting, Business Administration, Management, Business Analytics or education related courses. Honestly, i don't know when this people intend to call-off this strike and the longer it takes, time keeps running. And I'm looking forward to January 2023 intake. You made mentioned of a conditional admission, if i can be offer that no problem, then whenever ASUU calls off strike, i can send whatever docs that they need. @Lekiboboe @ShowYoung @Makano @Mrprolink |

ShowYoung: Kindly provide your educational qualification and grade and discipline so as to recommend a school and course for you. What would you recommend for somebody who studied Education Accountancy, but due to ASUU strike, been unable to get my transcript. Also, programs with co-op would be of great help if you can recommend any for me. 2yrs Masters in a Uni seems to be kinda outrageous. |

mrprolifik: No they are not the same. With the work permit that comes with study permit , you are only allowed to work 20hrs per week when school is in session or unlimited hours during holidays. But with the co op permit you can work unlimited hours if that job is part of your study program. You will be issued a co op work permit together with your study permit if when you applied for your study Visa you submitted a letter of acceptance showing that your program has a compulsory work placement as part of the curriculum to complete that program. But if you applied for a program that has an optional work placement and during the time of applying for the program you didnt select the option with a coop then you will be issued a study permit without co-op permit. If you decided later into the program that you still want to take part in the coop job placement while you are already in Canada, you can still apply for it separately and you would be issued as far as the program has an option for co-op. The advantage of a coop program is that apart from gaining practical experience in your program of study, you can work unlimited hours with your coop permit at your place of job placement and also work extra 20hrs per week at another job with the work permit included with your study permit . Thanks my bro for the insight, i really appreciate |

@mrproflink @Lekiboboe @Makano Does the work permit that comes with the study visa the same with the co-op for someone that his program has a 4months co-op program. Or you have to apply for the co-op permit separately. |

Lekiboboe: Yes, you are eligible to apply for PR after the 1 year full-time work experience you get from your PGWP in which will make you eligible to apply for the CEC - Canadian Experience Class category of Express Entry. That's why it is advisable to go for a 2 years program or finish one program and go for a second program (which means you need to extend your study permit for the second program) to be eligible for the 2-3 years PGWP.
To your second question, from my finding it's a yes, but that would likely be a Visitor visa which you must apply for, but unfortunately you can't work with a Visitors visa.
In the best interest of an international student, he/she should go for a Program in a school that is a DLI (Designated Learning Institute) and offers PGWP (POST GRADUATE WORK PERMIT) Very Important Extending your study permit for another program, can you do it over there or you need to return back home and start a fresh application? |

Lekiboboe: 1 year Masters will give you 1 year PGWP 2 years Masters will give you 2-3 years PGWP Thank you @Lekiboboe. Please, how do i know if the program and school i'll be going to offers PGWP. Are there sites to check this. |

Please, what's the difference between a 1yr masters and a 2yrs masters. And, if one might decide to go for a 1yr master degree programme, does it come with a PGWP? |

Jeff5gold: One thing in this Canada is that employers don’t joke with skills, when choosing a course of study that you have zero skills on, make sure the course has a co-op which is like an industrial training. When you get that skills , you can include on your Résumé/CV that work experience and also an institution in Nigeria that you have worked there for 2 years or more . Please bro, can you explain more about this part. some persons course might not have a co-op just like you mentioned. |

A friend of mine in Canada told me it doesn't have to be any course, that it has to be something related to what i studied in my first degree which is Educaton Accountancy. Any suggestions and advise would be appreciated. Thank you. |
