those transcend shock proof enclosures always start misbehaving after a while. you start getting connection issues. yes i am talking from experience


it is also a problem with most of these no name hard drive enclosures. they are always having partial contact, which eventually scatters the drive MBR and you start getting format messages

if you can, i suggest you order a ugreen hard drive enclosure. they are best for when you are using a drive outside your pc in my experience

I wouldn’t totally agree with you on the transcend shock proof connector having issues, I have been using this type for years ruthlessly and no single issue and given it to nairalanders here to copy games and softwares and they usually come back to me without issue, have brand new ones and bought 2 used one here on nairaland, the imitation of the shock proof is enormous in the market
