Foski01: Good morning Gurus..
Must one be vaccinated before travelling to Canada?
Must one also book a two-way trip? (I intend travelling late Nov 2021)
Pls what airline from experience has the most affordable fare?.. I am travelling from Lagos.
Thanks in anticipation!
Waterloo conestoga students pls Hola, make we reason! You don’t have to book a 2 way trip ......this period, some students keep asking if they should book a 2 way trip, I really don’t know who distributed that information to them..... |

halfcurrent: Good day everyone. A close friend of mine recently got her Study Visa approved for Canada and is currently making arrangement to travel. She intends to travel to UK, spend a couple of days before leaving for Canada in mid-August. The question now is does she need to buy a return flight ticket bearing in mind that she is not coming back to Nigeria, at least for the next 2years, hence date of return is not known for now. We did a few online searches on Expedia and found some reasonably priced one-way ticket; however, her fear is that she does not know if it is mandatory to buy a return ticket. Return ticket is not necessary |

LJF11: You can imagine what a sane supposed intellectual is saying on a public platform, someone who is going to study a program I don't know, we are here not to speak from one mind but we must respect each other , how can you tell someone you don't even know , you pity him , I don't know how your mind function but we can do better , no one is forcing anyone to agree with A or B but people must be allowed to have all these arguments presented to them , no one is entirely stupid or smart, this platform would always remain a learning platform for everyone, lol let's not be toxic |

LJF11: You can see the mentality of someone with a approved visa, that your Visa might be revoked for asking a question, you can see the difference between a white and a black man, why are u still motivated by fear, didn't you meet the eligibility for the Visa , the fact that country has messed with your mind doesn't mean you should be a human being any longer, a man scared of asking questions, what kind of man is that , we won't be having all these conversations if they told us this is their policy not trying to deny someone after so much planning has been made and you said we should not ask questions , very sad mehn I just pitty you |

Lekiboboe: So far so good , it's safe to say people had different scenerios on this issue
In a nutshell, a month or less than two months (1.5 month) before travel with an enrollment letter should be ok with any Airline operator.
In some cases enrollment might even not be needed, if its one month before travel, but to be on a more safer side, one should get the letter.
With COVID-19 precautions, anything can happen, so one has to be careful The instruction was 4 weeks Before resumption , dear international students, obey simply instructions |

Lekiboboe: Proof of Enrolment letter (Authorization letter) is very essential to travel to Canada as a student. KLM Royal Dutch Airline confirmed it.
Find Attached
It is expected of every student to do their due diligence by getting their PROOF OF ENROLMENT LETTER from their respective schools before booking a flight So you think those who traveled didn’t have there enrolment letter on them?? Funny |
Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 19 by Jeff5gold: 8:01am On Jul 03, 2021 |
LJF11: That's not true, you can't be refused to board when you have enrolled , the airline wants to know if you are an active student that's why they are asking for enrollment, once you are enrolled in a program, it means you are already a student for that year but some schools won't enroll you until it's close to the programe while some schools enrolls you immediately you confirm your study permit, as far you are enrolled and you have a quarantine plan , it's left for the border officer to determine if you are arriving early or not and if you are early they would want to know if you have enough funds to take care of yourself without working, so far we haven't seen anyone who has been stopped from boarding while having their enrollment letter.......... , No where in the arrival guidelines said one month except they have their special website where they take instructions from.. Sincerely, it’s the new development o.....people are being denied boarding this period....it’s now official.... |

TheShaman: For those who want to avoid the mandatory hotel stay and quarantine, Canada will be lifting these requirements for those who are fully vaccinated (two doses) by the approved vaccines in the country on July 5th, 2021.
Also, while you may have an Enrollment Letter for Fall 2021, please be aware that you may very well be refused at the airport if you seek to travel more than a month before the start date on your Enrollment Letter. While it isn't mentioned on their website (as far as I've seen), your program should start within a month or a month of your intended travel date or it will be deemed that you are arriving too early (possibly to root out what they deem unnecessary travel). This is something being enforced in the background by their staff who verify your documents. Since when that one start |

Shayee35: No, you don't have to be enrolled before you travel. Enrollment letter is asked for mainly because students have started classes at their home country. If your classes or registration has not started, please take your letter of acceptance with you. Also, if you have been given admission and you have your PPR, check with your school for webinars for new students. They have all this information and you can always get clarity from the international students office.
From the info I gathered, due to Covid, you are not advised to enter Canada more than 4 weeks before classes start. So if your class starts in September, 1st to 2nd week in August is a good time to travel, so you can quarantine, if you are not fully vaccinated. Have you traveled before from Nigeria to Canada as a student |

LJF11: If you have your enrollment letter, lol why r u now scared, u think they would deny an enrolled student from boarding, simply ask them to show you on the website where the policy is from, everything you need to prepare for travel is on Canada website, there are guidelines to follow I know enrolment letter was the reason they denied those people boarding.....they weren’t able to get enrolment letter from their schools as it was too early |

My brother was at the airport today and they didn’t let him travel even after showing his travel letter; his program starts in September btw. The new policy is so frustrating though smh I believe your brother didn’t provide enrolment letter....those who were recently denied boarding failed to show their enrolment letter as their schools hasn’t started giving out the letter to student at that time |
