He did the same thing to me. He don get sure customers offline. Online nah jara.
Betnomore:
I'm not saying his water or products are bad. It's just the way he conducts his bysiness is not what I'm comfortable with. I contacted him few months ago regarding the distilled water and he told me the price. I told him i would be coming to abule egba to pick up when my route is around that area as i cant afford to pay for delivery. Can you belive this giy just blocked me on whatsapp? I can't compel him on how to conduct his business but as a buyer also, I can decide not to patronize him. I just need a local seller here in Ikorodu. Thanks

Message me on WhatsApp
Gshems:
please can you walk me through how to get the buck converter and fan then how to connect it
Satellite TV Technology / Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Jefferyzz(m): 10:12am On Mar 13
Ur panel is clear a high voltage low amp pairing a pwm with it is a bad decision, get mppt n hope Ur panels are facing south n there's space for air under Ur panel
Gshems:
This sounds a bit technical.. Tho I just checked and it looks like a viable option but too technical for me
Satellite TV Technology / Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Jefferyzz(m): 8:28am On Mar 13
Since u got 300w panel just get mppt join since u don get plan for future expansion. 300w is not ok for 12v system with pwm unless u can get a 20a buck converter, install it with cooling fan n place it between Ur panel n pwm.
Gshems:
Good evening my bosses.. So I set up a 12v system that comprises of
1. 12v 1000w sachet inverter
2. 1 100ah battery

But in getting a solar panel I got 320 watt solar panel for future upgrades opportunities..
And I am using a pwm 30amps charge controller.

Problem come dey.. I don't get more than 4.5a from my solar panel. Which is not enough to charge my battery talk less of giving me enough power to use during the day...

Please my bosses what is the most cost effective way for me to go. I need my battery charged and also have enough head room to use a fan at least.. Please I need your inpits

Snap Ur charge controller datasheet, Ur 300w panel sticker n 500w panel sticker.
jikaseo:
Can I use a 550w Jinko panel alongside 4pcs of already existing 300w panels?
Satellite TV Technology / Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Jefferyzz(m): 7:34pm On Feb 26
Nothing u can do If u series it. Ur 580 will function as 475. U can't parallel it either it cauz of Ur CC. It's high PV.
kristien4:
Hello at the @bassdow and other bosses in the house. Pls can i put these panels in series. Isc current of the 580w is higher than the max isc of the inverter which is 13A. I was hoping the isc of the 475w which os 11A will drag down the isc of the 580w which is 14.7A. Is it possible??

No
It's a complete BMS but non smart
Buy if it's still in stock of d seller might b old price
isangjohnson:
Please, someone should check this product for me.
Is it a smart bms?
Is this a complete Jbd bms?
It's too cheap to be real.
Satellite TV Technology / Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Jefferyzz(m): 7:39am On Feb 25
Cheapest is 90-100k

Decided to go with a 300watt panel but does any one know if I can get a mppt charge controller less that 40k?

Don't no what kind of system u want or d size of ur load, ur location will determine cost of materials but u can get some items off this thread
Lifepo4 battery from Valto
Jinko panel, I'm sure u must av notice someone posting that here
SPD MCB DB n cables from zeestone
Etc
guente02:

Could you give an estimate and breakdown of what this would cost, more specifically the inverter, cc and panels?
Satellite TV Technology / Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Jefferyzz(m): 1:12am On Feb 24
Or if d money dey buy mppt with 2 300w cause of future upgrade
Gshems:
Thanks for the reply
Satellite TV Technology / Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Jefferyzz(m): 1:10am On Feb 24
It will charge it but it's won't b optimal. He won't get anything close to 300w going into d battery. Max e'll get is 145w.
Mppt is a DC to DC converter. ie converts volts to amps but ur panel must b at certain voltage b4 this is done. My CC mppt working voltage is 35v. Some 300w panel underload will give like 31v 9a, for a 12v system that 31v will b cut off to 14.5(bulk voltage) n 9a which is like 130w, same thing goes if he's using pwm. But if 2 is in series, mppt kicks in n convert d excess volts. So u'll av close to ur panel capacity.
Imagine 9a going into d battery at the same time supply small load on d inverter.
If d CC is pwm n it's 12v system best is those 180/190w panel with 9a or 10a isc in parallel.
Obnoxious2001:
I no know book, but why can't 1 300w solar panel can't charge a 100A battery??

Na work I learn I no go school explain give me abeg let me understand
Satellite TV Technology / Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Jefferyzz(m): 12:46am On Feb 24
Buy 2 180/190 watt panel with 10a isc n put them in parallel den connect that to ur pwm
Gshems:
actually I plan to use a 30a pwm charge controller. I don’t use it for heavy load. Just a fan and charging my laptop when it is low. Please, with my current system. How do you advise me to proceed? Tho, I won’t be using the system for long cos I plan to change my inverter and increase my battery as money Dey show. But right now I need Solar to charge my system so I won’t on gen to always charge
Satellite TV Technology / Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Jefferyzz(m): 8:45pm On Feb 23
Panels
Inverter (standalone)
Charge controller (I'm not a fan hybrid system)
AC n DC cables
Earth rod
MCB SPD n DB
Panel rack
guente02:
Hey Guys

I'm planning to set up a solar power system to charge two 24V, 150Ah batteries during 8 hours of sunshine.
I intend to use a 24V hybrid inverter. I tried SMK but it packed up in months.
Can you suggest the specific components I'll need to buy, along with their ratings, to achieve this?

Efficiently? Yes but it will charge nonetheless
I may agree with the person cause
1. Ure on a 12v system n ur panel working voltage will likely b below d required voltage that's needed for ur mppt to work(thats if ur CC is mppt), so ur mppt will function like pwm
Are u using a lead acid battery? If yes, ur battery won't get to float with just 1 300w n u will soon start noticing capacity drop
Gshems:
Please people, I have a 1000 watt sachets inverter and 100ah battery. I want to get Solar panel for this system but I am being told a 300watt panel can’t charge the battery efficiently. How true is this?
Satellite TV Technology / Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Jefferyzz(m): 4:12pm On Feb 23
Ur BMS should be able to cut out charging d moment 1 cell hit 3.65
Abiono28:
Pls house, where can I get 12v 20a LFP charger?
Also i have a yohako inverter with inbuilt charger but i was told it will overcharge the battery. Is there a way to circumvent this ?
Note the battery has bms

@BlueStripper
Jefferyzz:
What is your bulk and float charging voltage on ur charge controller
u used to av a sealed lead acid now u own a flooded battery.
I assumed u didn't change the charging profile.
U series 2 180w(say 36v 10a) then parallel them with 540w(41v 13a).
U will putting 36v 23a(828w max) through ur cables(6mm).
All these are assumed figure, I no africell don't perform up to the stated capacity.

Here is where u should suspect foul play.
Ur CC displaying 900w max is misleading I'll advise u get a DC meter to know the true figure
If ure using 6mm cable (assumed) n d length is above 10meters. U will experience voltage drop
u won't get up to that 36v
Check d body of ur battery if there is a c rating written on it.
Most lead acid are charged at 10-20% of their capacity.
D cable between ur CC n battery too should b 23mm since ure moving 60a into d dem.

BlueStripper:
Good Morning Everyone,

My apologies for the confusion. I was so angry yesterday.

I have an independent lithium setup that's different from the lead acid setup. Each setup has its specific load assigned to it.

Like I said, I decommissioned the Fullriver batteries because they have served me for many years. I wanted a longer runtime so I switched to Tall Tubular Batteries.

My panels are 1pcs of 560 watts generic solar panel and 2 Pcs of 180 watts Africell solar panels connected in 2S1P array configuration.

For charging, sometimes I get over 900 watts of energy from the panel at full sunlight. And over 60amps from the CC to these batteries.

I believe I have answered all the questions asked.

Thank you so much
