The herdsman farmer crisis is been around even before I was born and just keep getting worse. The only immediate solution to this problem is ranching. Which the elite are playing politics with. Would Declaring herdsmen terrorists solve the problem? Banning nomadic cattle rearing without putting in place ranching as it stands will probably increase unemployment and then crime rate. The Fulani herdsman whose cattle his feeding on a farmer crop is not different from the man who sells fake or substandard product to maximize profit or the man who tries to con you when selling you a product. The fulani Herdman are just a replica of the larger Nigeria society which has both good and bad egg. NB this is my opinion argue with your fridge. |
