Thanks for the heads up.
May I ask if you are suggesting that i go to Tin Can to buy instead?
Since its more authentic there.

heffem:
My broda goodmorning... I buy cars from Cotonou and the papers work are genuine if coming thru seme. But the Gospel truth is that vehicles bought thru our paths here are more expensive than those bought at Tin can, Lagos........#for some reasons I can't disclose here... So, do not have the mindset that Cotonou cars are cheaper....just that u can make choices... #goodluck

Is it advisable to buy your car from there?
Is it risky?
Are the paper works properly done?
Are there unforseen issues with making purchase from there?

All this is to ensure that we don't just buy the idea of buying cars from
kotonu all in the name cheap prices.

Please share your experiences, pros and cons.

Thanks

Business To BusinessA Million And One Thing An Entrepreneur Wishes He Would Not Do. --by Jeffrey by jeffreyUzo(op): 4:53am On Aug 06, 2014
Against all the hypes about being an Entrepreneur, the entrepreneur is not wishing to do the following

1. Make all the decisions.
2. Determine what to produce.
3. Find out his market niche (create one where there is non).
4. Discover the cheapest way to reach his customers.
5. Decide to sell at a loss or at a profit.
6. Ensure quality of goods and services delivered.
7. Find investors to push his product to a wider circle of customers.
8. Admit that a product that his customers does not find value in as a bad product
...

I can go on and on listing it all out because i am an entrepreneur.
So the big question now is what do i do that makes me call myself an entrepreneur? i sell recharge cards online -->> www.ecardex.com/
yes its a common thing to do this days, so how i am doing it differently? I have created a platform that will allow
people to sell recharge cards online and make legitimate profit for themselves, and i am offering it for free
to serious business minded people.

The point i want you to get from this is that you don't embark on a journey and turn back half way. Ask the people
who make money legitimately as entrepreneur, some of them don't have time to sleep at all. Why because the burden of trying to stay in business and make money at the same time have prevented them from sleeping most times. In fact the time in which i was writing this article was at 00:11am on a Friday morning.

The above are hard truths you don't hear from people who encourage you to become an entrepreneur. The best they will
say to you is that Mr lagbaja has been doing and he is making it, you too you can do it, and then they forget to
tell you the cost of being an entrepreneur.

Please note that this article is not to discourage you from being an Entrepreneur, but to open your eyes to the
realities that you will be facing when you decide to or become an entrepreneur.

If you are currently employed and you are thinking of how to quit your Job to be an entrepreneur all because you want
to control your time, my candid advice is that you stay back there until you are fully convinced.

Surely, the light at the end of this tunnel is bright, but the time it will cost you to get the end of
the tunnel is uncertain and it might take a while.

BusinessMyths Of Online Payments In Nigeria. by jeffreyUzo(op):
Myths of Online Payments in Nigeria

The following is a list of possible response of an average Nigerian who hears about online payments:

1. Is it safe and secured?
2. The admin of the website will store your ATM Pin and password.
3. If you try to make payments online all your money will disappear.
4. The site is from Yahoo Yahoo joor! those boys do terrible things.
5. If its not Paypal is a scam.
6. Nigeria does not have and online payment processor that is safe.
... and the list goes on.

If one of the above is what comes to your mind when you hear about online payments, then
its time you start to have a rethink about the situation.
Its true Nigeria is no where near where we expect it to be, but things are changing and new models are surfacing.

My response to the above myth from top to bottom:

We now have online payment processors that are safe and secured (1).

The payment processors are owned and controlled majorly by some of the banks and authorized bodies like the
InterSwitch, so no website can actually store your ATM pin and password, besides your payments are handled by
the the banks and authorized bodies like InterSwitch and off course we trust them enough to provide us with ATM cards.
Even third party payment processor like voguepay largely depend on their infrastructure and they themselves do not store your ATM card detail, because they redirect you to InterSwitch for the payments. (2)

It is pure fallacy, Only God knows where that kind of thought came from. Even when the ATM machine debits your account and does not give you the cash, you know pretty well that your money will be reverted back between the next 24hrs minimum.
So there is no such thing as "All your money will disappear". (3)

Its true that the Yahoo Yahoo boys do terrible things, Just ensure that the site that you are been redirected to
has the trademark of the payment processor and that their SSL tag is showing (you just can't miss that green key lock sign).
I personally recommend third party payment processors like VoguePay for now since they have been around for about 2 years now and are a licensed payment processor for Nigerian websites.
And over a N100 Million has been transacted on the VoguePay portal successfully since their inception (thats why we use Voguepay for payments @ecardex).
visit https://voguepay.com/blog/voguepay-celebrates-it-8000-merchants/ for more information. (4)

Well Paypal is an American payment processor that supports a wide range of countries except Nigeria. So why bother about
a payment processor that does not have our beloved country at heart. (5)

FYI, Nigeria now has a very secured online payment processor. And it can only get better as the day goes by. (6)

@ecardex we know that Nigeria's online payment processor has improved significantly, and so we decided to make buying RECHARGE CARDS a painless
action to perform, and we also went a step further to say that you can buy at any time of the day, any where you are, whether at your office, or at home or in your car or even at midnights. We have also used existing platforms like Voguepay payment processor to provide an easy way to make payment online using your ATM cards.

If you have Master card or Verve then you can use Voguepay to make payments. if you don't have a vogue pay account click this link https://voguepay.com/1339-7008 to create a free account. If you have Visa cards, then you will need to have an IPIN for the authentication before your transactions will be successful. In case you want to create an IPIN follow these steps:

Locate any nearest VISA/VPAY enabled ATM
Insert your card and punch in your pin
Select the pin change option
Select Internet PIN (i-PIN) change option
Insert any four-six digits of your choice as your i-pin
Re-enter the digits entered in step 5
If you have done the above correctly, a message will be displayed that your PIN was changed successfully.
This means your card is now enrolled in the VbV program and you have an internet PIN (i-PIN).

weezii: i do not really intend to make it an online stuff. What i have in mind is physical sales. Do u provide that also? If not u can still refer me to where i can get such. Thanks for ur time
The best you could is to meet the local dealers around your area to buy from them. may be ask the people that already sell in shops for directions.

The pleasure is all mine.

I have tried many times and not found a good site where i can just simply buy recharge cards online and make payments using my ATM card. IT guys how far now? The ones that would have brought joy to me had many steps before i could even start making the actual payments to even get my phone reloaded. and there in lied another problem where i could only see it from the perspective of the designer and not the user. I just was lost at the beginning, thank God i went to school and my patients paid off. Else i would not have been able to sign up in the first case. but signing up was not the only problem that i was faced with, i could not still make any progress, thanks to their cumbersome UI. If you are in shoes, am sure you will know the feeling. and there came http://ecardex.com to my rescue, all i had to do was to visit the site, select the network i was interested in, make payments and got the recharge card i have always wanted. Phew at last, after much cry and thirst some Naija guys are really making this IT thingy worth our while. I which all our guys will step up on their game. Because there is still hope for IT in this country.
