People switch camps every now and then in politics sso no need to hold grudge against him. Oshiomole left LP, Okorocha left APGA and the list goes on and on. But I understand where she's coming from: ojukwu and Obi had serious issues before the 2010 elections that saw APGA ripped into two with Ojukwu annointing Emeka Etiaba and his son resigning from obi's government. But you can't tie the man down na! President GEJ has been good to him all through his tenure and there's no law binding him to remain in APGA forever. He may have promised to be loyal to Ojukwu and undeniably, he was even on Ojukwu's death bed and burial grave: but every marriage is valid until the death of one partner and Obi was faithful he didn't divorce the agreement but held on till now. He should be commended and not cursed. If a party is dependent on one man man to stand, then it is not worth remaining. |
Fraih:hmm... So telme, wat would it take to make it possible ![]() |
BodyKiss:how did you. Then know he wanted man to be daft and ignorant? |
It is better you tell her the truth and hurt her feelings than keep the truth from her and allow her wallow in ignorance. Besides, am sure you guys have got your coded way of passing serious infos @ each other; if not, come out straight with her but with a concerned tone. |
Any joke that is worth $25,000 is certainly an expensive joke ![]() |
GOODLUCK to all the aspirants and candidates. May the Best man @GEJ win |
Dis name "kuti" cannot go extinct becos the decendants know how to reproduce geometrically. |
Well said! They are far from what you can call "world class defenders" but I prefer either of them to Egwueke( the man that likes rice and goat meat for lunch) ![]() |
NB: never trust any tailor named"PETER" it is for your own good ![]() |
pesty100:stop being too uptight and rigid and open yourself to new truths. Pls quote the place where God cursed man for me. |
ifeness:you are funny I must say. If I ask you to give me proofs that God didn't create the world, what would you give me? Is it not quotes from researches done by others and writings from others that don't believe in God? Do you have any evidence(sourced from you) that justifies the non-existence of God? Or is your claim not based on the inability of a believer to adequately prove to you(by your standard) that God exist and made the whole world? You are as knowledgeable as the information available to you. So before I answer your question, I'll like you to help me with something, and it is: what kind of proof from me would be acceptable for you? Is it a pix of God moulding or designing the earth. The second part of your question that God is responsible for everything good that happens to a person doesn't quite cut it. God is not like a mail man or superman that comes to the rescue of the people of metropolitan weneva there's a danger. It is just like asking if God knows who will win the el-classico next week btw Madrid and Barca. It is quite absurd to think that God doesn't have any more important thing to do than to sit down and watch a football match ahead of time while souls are perishing daily. Life is governed by principles; if you sow, you'll reap. If you labour, you'll get your due reward etc so when good thing happen to people it doesn't necessarily have to come from God directly. Even though we know God is good and shows mercy on people and thus birth a miraculous deed in their lives. Let's take this example: if a student studies hard and appropriately prepare for an exam, it is expected that he should pass. That is what it means to reap what you sow. In the event that after all the hardwork, he failed, then we will begin to ask questions. |
pesty100:have you found any? |
The gospel according to pesty I believe ![]() Well, God was training man to be attentive to detail, law and order. But man failed the test of obedience. Who told you God wanted them to be daft? Assumption I guess! God's intention was to gradually introduce man to knowledge. Just like a parent would bring up his child one step at a time. Remember man was still new in the garden and needed to learn the ropes one step at a time but he decided to leap before he was ready for it. What God did was damage control, talk of salvaging man before he self distruct. God never cursed man; perhaps you should read that place again, rather he caused the ground so that man would work hard and earn what he deserves(that is another way to learn knowledge) God is not against knowledge(infact he is the source of everything including knowledge) but like I said earlier, he wanted to introduce man to it gradually as any parent would do(talk of controlled knowledge). And that is the same thing science does: it controls your knowledge; but in science, you only know as much as the materials available to you. |
pesty100:who says theists don't read about science? Why do atheists read the Bible? Is it to find the truth in the scriptures or to find evidence to support their disbelieve? |
ifeness:you see! This is the challenge with atheist. Any way, let me ask you: what is you definition of what can be termed "an acceptable proof of the existence of God"? Maybe we can start from there |
I have noticed how vehemently, the members of the opposition All Progressive Congress(APC) both the regular and the e-versions, criticise, talk down, bastardize or rubbish everything done by the present administration under the leadership of The Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) and His Excellency, President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan. Most recently in the supposed cease-fire agreement reached with the dreaded Boko Haram Islamic sect . Often, we hear men like Dino, el-Rufai, Lai Mohd, Kwankwaso, Buhari, Atiku, and even Amaechi tongue lash the President and his administration; not to forget the usual e-worriors. My question is this, is it possible for this Government under President Jonathan, to do anything good in your eyes or has this government done anything worth commending since its inception? |
Fraih:eya! I can take her place if you don't mind. Afterall, 2 is better than one. |
Sijioke:are you kidding me? Mandela fought mainly for the abolishment of racial discrimination/white supremacy in South Africa. Even Martin Luther King no fit claim Victory for slave trade abolishment sef. |
@OP was it Mandela that ended slave trade ![]() |
