Nairaland General17th October Stand Up!!! by JEITO(op): 11:47pm On Oct 16, 2014
It was a normal day...
Nothing exceptional to look forward to...
Went about my normal thing...
Could careless what happened next...
Then, it struck me all of a sudden...
My attention was drawn to it...
Special interest I took on it...
Why this connection...
I just can't explain it...
But I flowed with the tide...
I expected business as usual...
Yeh! Knew how it would end...
I thought I did...
I could bet I did...
My senses couldn't be wrong...
I've been down this road before...
So I can say I'm experienced...
Not one...
Not two...
Not three...
Not even four...
I be guru for this side na...
So I could bet I knew how it would end...
But then it didn't...
Damn! It didn't end as I expected...
I thought I wrote the script...
But it didn't end that way...
Hmm! JEITO...
Are you a learner...
Sure am not...
But I just learned a lesson...
I'm not a repository of knowledge...
I didn't author this script...
The hand of Divinity is on it...
Just as we say in ICU...
Every teacher must be ready to...
Learn...
Un-learn...
And re-learn...
And I did...
And am doing...
And I will continue to do...
So help me God...
Now a new chapter is opened...
An interesting one...
One worth paying attention on...
And I don PAY ATTENTION...
And I like what I'm seeing...
So now it is onto the next one...
I believe there's more to this...
No! I'm sure there's more to this...
And I dey wait...
Seriously I dey wait...
Patiently waiting...
As my friend will say...
I'll continue to sleep...
Until God wakes me up...
I mean...
For God to disrupt my flow...
In a world of my own...
There must be more to it...
He kws I like it here...
Where I'm all by mysef...
Where I'm a king...
But then...
He called to me...
And said...
My boy...
I said sir..
It is time...
Time to go...
I asked go where sir...
He said to a place called EARTH...
Earth!
Sounds strange to me...
Where is it sir...
I asked...
Down there! He said...
Hmm...
I sighed...
Obviously confused...
Down there! I repeated...
Yes down there...
He said...
Owkie...
I thought I was made to be here...
No my child...
He said...
Your assignment is down there...
Down on Earth...
Now am really confused...
My assignment! Down there!
Yes my child...
Down there is where you are needed...
"Needed" I thought to myself!
Yes!
Needed!!
You see my child...
There's something that the earth lacks...
That I have deposited in you...
Only you has it...
And as long as you remain here...
With me...
The Earth will still be in lack...
Now I understand, I said...
So you see why you have to go?
Yes Lord I do!
So do you want to kip the Earth waiting?
And with that...
The discussion ended...
It had just gone past 1am...
On a chilled...
Monday morning...
The 17th...
17th day...
Of the 10th month...
In the year...
Of our Lord...

17th!
So glad you came...

Happy birthday to ME!!!! sholay2011, chibaby and every other fella honoured to be born on this special day.

Christianity EtcRe: A Question For The Atheists by JEITO(op): 11:32am On Oct 16, 2014
finofaya:
Do you have a better theory? God is even more preposterous than the big bang. At least the big bang tries to give you an explanation. With God, you have no explanation but for whatever reason that doesn't seem preposterous to you.

The big bang theory deals with how the universe got to its present state, not what caused the universe or how life came about.

The scientists haven't created life but its not safe to say that they never will. They are merely testing a hypothesis and they can replace this one with another if that other seems more viable. God is not proven by the failure of a hypothesis. What is your problem with humans creating life, anyway; does it make life any less sacred or does it make God any less powerful?
Science would always look for an explanation for everything and the big bang theory is no diffferent.

the big bang theory starts with a claim that "a singularity" started everything which makes that singularity "the beginning" They claim they don't know what that singularity was or why and how it came into being. But am curious to know If you have any idea about what that singularity might be?

Also the theory talks about expansion rather than explosion. How did what is expanding comes into being and also I want to believe everything has got an elastic limit, does it mean we will get to a point where this earth will explode having exceeded its elastic limit?

The person occupying that office has made it a joke and it's unfortunate that I've currently lost respect for that position.
how did he do that if I may ask?

Btw, if you lose regard for a position because according to you, the present occupier has watered it down, how can you prove then that you ever had regard for the office or are you one that only obey when things are rosy?
SportsRe: NFF Sack Keshi, Pick Amodu As Replacement by JEITO: 9:51am On Oct 16, 2014
Right before the match he already knew he would be sacked. What was on his mind was to leave on a victorious note and also how to get his salary.

I just hope they don't give Amokachi any future coaching job in Nigeria; the guy no dey try atal.

SportsRe: Super Eagles Can Still Qualify For Morocco 2015 by JEITO: 8:41pm On Oct 15, 2014
same place as usual...

I think we are playing congo next and if we are to pick anything from that game, the coach has got some serious work to do:
(1) Defence: so porous, lack of communication between center backs, poor timing, can't clear set pieces, wing backs are poor tracking back an attacker; they seem to escort the opposite attacker, wing backs can't link up with the attack or bring pull outs. The defence is to individualistic.

(2) Midfield: lack cohesion, creativity and pace. Fail to link up with the attack often, always fail to impose their presence in a game, and poor final ball to the attackers.

(3) Attack: weak, no prolific striker in the team(our top striker can't guarantee 15goals a season for his club), wingers can't really dribble past defenders, selfish strikers(too individualistic),

Other areas to work on include: passing(the team can't make five complete passes acurately), set piece: we don't have a single set-piece taker and can't score via set-pieces, stop playong long balls: we don't have big, strong and clever attackers so playing long ball amount to giving away possession cheaply, the team need to be more compact- attack as a pack and defend as a pack. That way u dobt allow your opponent too much space to exploit.
Finally, the players need to be attentive to what is happening on the pitch of play at every seconds. The eagles seem to forget themselves too often.

Lastbullet: keshi should stop chewing gum and start cracking his head on how to start playing well and winning convincingly. He's not sir Alex Fergie
and Amokachi should stop sitting joblessly and start contributing to betterment of the team.

abatically:
Correct. I been waiting all these while for someone to at least say the truth. Omeruo, oboabona and emenike are over hyped, but we all blame keshi. If keshi benched emenike hell will be let lose.

Last bullet: Mikel obi, though very slow bit he is the most quality player we have in our midfield. He is more composed and intelligent than any of our midfielder, he just needs to hustle up a bit more. The rest are just kick and follow footballers focusing more on brutality and strength and less on intelligence.
bros you couldn't have said it any better. This is sooo on point.

#thumbs up
SportsRe: Nigeria Vs Sudan: Afcon Qualifiers (3 - 1) On 15th October 2014 by JEITO: 6:56pm On Oct 15, 2014
I hope their next match is a home tie against south africa cos that's the one I can say they have a good chance of winning.

But the coach that's if he's still in charge by then, should go and hustle for a striker before then cos emenike no be here atal
