No lies bro. Now I'm having a rethink of my vote for Gabriel as the player of the season.

Rice actually proved he's worth more than 100 million pounds! Right from the day he played his first game for us, he was always giving his best and carrying his teammates along with that winners mentality. The guy just has an aura of a leader that not only gets his own job done but put in work to ensure others don't fall behind under the weight of their duty.

It was that Burnley game I concluded he is that leader this team had been lacking for years.
For sure! I hope that our signings going forward will not just be about talent and hype but actually considering players with mental toughness. Special shout out to Gabriel, Saliba and Raya. To manage being unbeaten for a very long time especially the Champions League is no mean feat at all. For me , Declan is not just Arsenal Player of the Season but Premier league Player of the Season as well.

I feel like, we still owe West Ham like 10 stacks for Declan Rice. Dude was composure exemplified and the mentality was always of a winner. He was the Captain without the handband. I have seen players over the years but this guy has the blood of the invincibles running in him. Defence wins the League is topic for another day but right now, the party continues.

Starting all over will make the thread lose it credibility and no fun in it
The thread is there through highs and lows, funny thing those who started the thread are not active or here again.
Its like arsenal starting a new beginning with new players and everything
They were always here. Nothing changed. They just just the discussions to engage in

Zubi! Absolute masterclass in the middle of the park. Closest player i have seen to prime xavi of Barcelona. Already looks to be a crucial player we must keep fit at all costs. As for Victor, he will grow into the team philosophy with time and his introduction will force Kai to step up big time. Interesting times ahead.

Been a while, but good signings so far. My take was watching Zubi and already from a player perspective, he is superb. How he does consistently in the league bar injuries is still one to ponder but the little things are what i like about his game. Short movements and accurate weight of pass long or shot plus he his more mobile and tends to cover space more effectively. Well the big one is still yet to come. Hopefully now that the base of the team has been settled and now the forefront is being stacked, we should be ready to win things bar injury and hard headedness of our coach in over experimenting.

Merino has still not convinced me and it seems Partey is the one being sacrificed for him to get a spot in the midfield. I honestly feel for Partey playing RB but given the injuries, I salute his versatility. For all the turmoil and anger in the air, I have not seen the team play too badly , just that the results are not coming . Hopefully we can hit a run of form again and let's see what unfolds.

We just need someone that offers us something different and to your point, Jesus made some impressive runs but more importantly, he was decisive when it mattered. I saw him make 1 touch and shoot. He wasn’t looking to making another contact with the ball or dribble, he took his shot with power and confidence.
I concur and that why I also said Kai brings in different dimension. You see that one touch and shoot you mentioned is the real deal. At the highest level, a footballer has to realise that the less touches the better. And Defenses that are packed cannot be unlocked if transition is slow , no movement and too many touches.

That's what kai lacks movement in the box
I miss eddie for that
Yes oh, Eddie is one striker that has great movement but his quality on the ball was not top class. Well Kai also has his own merits with his height and ball winning prowess in the air. Good to have a mix of both types of strikers in my opinion

I agree, Jesus came alive yesterday and showed he offered more than Havertz.

On the other hand, The goals Raya conceded last night will really make you wonder what wrong did Ramsdale committed
For sure he really should be starting ahead of Kai. As for raya, that goal is one any keeper could have conceded but I we go by how we play, he is a far better fit than Ramsdale. I like the way he moves up with the defence when we are attacking so that he becomes an onfield player. Its takes intelligence and skill plus some confidence to do that. That way we are always able to sustain our tempo and be in control. For me , it was a good choice for him to be number one over ramsdale
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by Jencejyde(m): 10:39am On Dec 19, 2024
Nothing beats playing the game in the simple manner. MOVEMENT was all that was needed for GJ to get his acts together rather than holding unto the ball and always trying to do one dribble or the other. Yesterday, I saw a player who just made runs in and out, left and right with a minimal of two touches when he was played to feet. That's all he really needed and this even helps him stay injury free. When you have Martin and Saka , you really just need to make runs and they will find you. So happy for him Yesterday and hope he keeps his game simple with consistency. A reminder to the board once again to get odegard deputy ASAP.

Awon werey be losing up and dwon yet Arsenal is their problem. I just hope the arsenal board do not be unfortunate and start looking for a like for like replacement for Odegard. Scares me like the RVP days, but anytime i see him go down , im just praying that its should not be serious. Any injury to that guy with no replacement and we can just forget abut the season. Great times are here again. Anyone who has a problem with us winning games know where the nearest transformer is.

Firstly we are blaming Arteta for not getting the players that was supposed to get us a backup player that will sustain the quality even when rotating.

We expected Duberry to stay as Saka back up. O r we get a Bowen for Saka.
We needed a forward and Saka deputy and another midfielder. But he went for a defender and to me all our defenders are almost out.

He sees what he sees.

White, timber, Tomi have been out.
Cala was lucky not to be injured
Imagine the defense crises
Odegard out.
G.jesus misfiring
Saka being overplayed.

But from financial standpoint maybe they needed to comply with FFP rules.

We don't know.
They know hence the sales of players .

Like I said before for the Merino deal to drag until we sold Nketiah I knew we needed to sell to buy.

Now sterling is not a bad buy based on experience and pedigree having worked with him before.
Tomi is not fit. U guys should stop seeing a player just resume training last week to assume that he is fit.
Clearly Arteta doesn't not trust a rookie into defence may be because of playing at the back.

Let give him some.slack.
Lots of players are getting injured.
The medical team may have input in selection based on the current spate of players injury.
For him.to put Partey at RB means Tomi wasn't fit but rushed that I can tell u.

Sterling and G.J need to work.on the fitness and finishing.

Rotation is key .
Yes it dropped our quality but he can't take anymore injuries to our fist 11.

It's not an excuse but a reality.
Many coaches are beginning to voice tbis.
Today Alison injured..

Thankfully we won.
You can look st the cup half empty or half full.
Learning the act to comebacks also important.
My observations
Partey can't play defence rotation.
The international break came st the right time.
Hopefully we don't loose any player.
Partey and jorginho not a good midfield combination.
Both are slow.
Cala needs to improve his defensive game.
G.J needs to be talked to. He is inhibiting our flow.
Superb! Well Said!

Great start to the season and let's hope for the best going forward. Finally great to see some movement of fringe players whom, when given the opportunity were not able to take it. Truth be told, if we are to wrestle the title from city, we need more that just a starting eleven. We need quality in every position and quality backups too. Greetings to all the Gunners in the house as well.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by Jencejyde(m): 8:38pm On May 19, 2024
Incredibly proud of this team. Hope MA learnt his lesson and not try any oversabi with the early experiments of playing Partey at RB and all that nonsense. Just play your players in thier key positions and hopefully with the staying injury free for most of the campaign, you are able to challenge for the title. Its been a rollercoaster of emotions but the team has improved and all that remains is now consistency. As long as city under pep is still in the EPL, we will need to always be performing at insane optimal levels . Congrats to City but incredible accolades to the Gunners. No time crying over spilt milk, lets just assess the season and begin to identify areas of weakness we can strenghten going into the next season

Good day everyone.
Thanks, thanks so much for your concern about my absence and wellbeing. To say I'm truly overwhelmed and grateful is me not doing justice to it enough. I'm truly blown away by all your gestures. God bless you all.

Actually, I'm was preparing for a promotional exam(that was early last month) so I decided to take a little time off then I'll be back but unfortunately I fell seriously ill soon after. It was severe that I had to be admitted for weeks in the hospital reason I had this prolonged absence. I thank God for life and recovery (just got discharged last week Wednesday).

I know say I missed a lot of things sha(first two UCL matches, Havertz first goal, NLD derby and Man city win). Though I was grateful to watch the full replay of our win against Man city and I enjoyed every bit of it.

Good to be back here once again and I'm really thankful to you all (I can't emphasize this enough)

Hopefully, we'll win against our London neighbors this weekend. E be like say dem don dey catch their groove back grin

Hmmm, last season ending vibes. Football is a game where you just need to be clinical. I hate the blame game of whether it was ref decision of opponents antics etc . Truth is that if a team plays well enough, they will be rewarded with chances and how well they convert determines the likely outcome in terms of the results. In fairness to the team, if only we had been more clinical, we could easily have won by 4 or 5 goals. Our conversion ratio. Was just too poor.

I like Jesus as a player but it irks me when he tries to make football complicated at times. We know he has the attributes of a very good player but this is knack to always try to be to skillful with too many tricks is really letting the team down at times. Bar Partey and Odegarrd. Trosard is miles above every other player in that team efficiency wise. Simple one or two touch footie and playing the balls into space for runners can do so much damage than always wanting to take on players even when it's not necessary. The less said about Jorg and Kai the better. All we can hope for is that our key players are injury free when we have very crucial games against tough opposition to play. 2 points lost on this one but we move unto the next

This is pure Fraud! How on earth are we losing so much on a player. That's why I am always against paying over the odds for any player. The cons are always more than the pros. Chelsea right now is a good example.

If we set a price then we stick to it else we revamp our scouting network to much better just like Brighton is doing.

Some Fans really think football is just mathematics. SmH! One thing is certain that a game in hand is what it means. Its not a game won , drawn or lost . Until that game is played , the result is not determined. Thats why those who know better always talk about one game at a time, The next game is and should always be the focus and not the one that is happening 3 or 6 weeks from now.

I must admit that results have not gone our way in the past games which may be due to pressure and that is expected. There are no excuses for failure but like Jodera said. Whetever the outcome at the end of the season, I am mighty proud of this team. A young team that has brought back the feel good factor and got us eager to watch Arsenal play on matchdays again must be celebrated. Some people were moaning about the draw in Anfield forgetting our horrible record there and who thinks even if liverpool are not at their best that we can just stroll in there and get maximum points without working for it?

No one is even considering the injuries which we have had to battle and still battle to stay in this race given our personnel.

ManCity are masters and full of experience in this scenario and i expect them to put us under pressure till the very end but saying the league is lost just shows at times that we can never be satisfied and emotions just overun our judgement.

Man city is the next game and that's what it is. After Man city we have other games and they are equally important. What i want to see is confidence and consistency in the mentality that has brought us to where we are even when we had our top striker our for months.

I'll leave the coach to do his job and hope he gets it right and the players to stay focused and give a performance like they did when we played them and last time out .even going a man down but showing grit. Though we lost in the dying minutes of that game but that for me showed that if we stand tall against them we can get the result we desperately need.

COYG!

PS maybe we should try being a spuds fan right now....
