Midway na just visual splurge and Action. The ONLY endearing character in that film na "BEST D!CK" played by Ed Skrein. And the eagerness to see how Battleships, Destroyers and Carriers looked like then.

Too bad Japan is now a shadow of itself back then Militarily, although partly because of their Pacifist ideology after the War. Funny thing is they could easily measure up to those heights if they really wanted to, with their massive technological might.

Funny thing about history: now they are being bullied by China, an enemy it pummeled to Near-death that time. China really learnt a huge lesson back then, saying to THEMSELVES— "NEVER AGAIN".
