Due to the Academic Staff Union of Universities' ongoing strike, some Nigerian students on Tuesday blocked the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

The students barricade the road at the Sagamu Interchange section of the road.

Just Media TV had earlier reported that the South-West zone of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), on Monday announced the start of a demonstration on the Lagos-Shagamu Expressway.

The association claims that the protest was organized as a result of the Academic Staff Union of Universities' ongoing strike action.

The body also announced that it had given Adamu Adamu, the minister of education, and Chris Ngige, the minister of labor and employment, a vote of no confidence.
