FamilyRe: Virgin Husbands! by jess(f): 11:22am On Nov 20, 2006
That's a good issue you raised, Quiet. There's been so much emphasis on female virgins and none on male ones. The world is just used to crucifying the females. Why would a man who has had sex before want to marry a virgin. Do you know what i think? Those guys who fall into this group are just being hypocrites. The Bible says that our bodiy is the temple of the Holy Spirit. It didn't say only female bodies. The problem in our society is that male virgins are regarded as being weak.
My advice to all guys is that they shouldn't bring curses on their spouses by keeping their bodies for heir wifes too. Most of the problems faced by some cou[les are a result of the sexual excapades of the man before he got married. That's what i think.
FamilyRe: Terminating A Six Month Pregnancy by jess(f): 10:26am On Nov 20, 2006
Hi Malen,
your friend must be going through a rough time, but my advise to her is that she shouldn't try to abort the baby. It's bad enough that she committed one sin already, that of fornication, but aborting the child would result in the sin of murder. If she dies in the process of aborting the baby, she'll have killed two people, the baby and herself. She should try not to think about what people will say and focus her mind on what God'll say. Tell her to have the child, cos who knows, that child might actually be the Bill Gates of his/her time.
Finally, let's all stop deceiving ourselves and stop practising sex before marriage. Condoms and other forms of contraceptives have a 70% failure rate.
RomanceRe: My Boyfriend Hasn't Asked Me To Marry Him by jess(f): 7:03pm On Nov 19, 2006
Hi Ally 1,
i understand how it feels to be in a relationship with someone you love and you know you want to spend the rest of your life with. About your boyfriend, i don't think he isn't interested in spending his whole life with you. What i believe is that he is trying to take his time because he might be one of those who feel they should date a lady for at least two years before popping the question, which isn't wrong. So please darling just hang in there as long as there are no indications that he is unserious or irresponsible. I promise you that you'll smile at the end of the day so you have to be patient. There are couples who dated for eight years which isn't so advisable but they made it to the altar. Don't ask him yourself cos you'll really sound desperate and you sound like a decent lady, and am sure your boyfriend is madly in love with you too, just waiting to pop that queation to you.
RomanceRe: Why Does NYSC 'Kill' Relationships? by jess(f): 12:42pm On Nov 17, 2006
Hi guys,
the issue of broken relationships during NYSC isn't only a female thing. the guys are also guilty of "falling into temptation" too, so please stop making it sound like we ladies are the "devils" here. For me, i believe that anyone in a relationship should know the meaning of faithfulness, commitment and love. When you say you love someone, it means that you are faithful and commited to that person irrespective of distance. Anyone who uses distance as a basis to break a relationship was never in love in the first place.
Let's not blame NYSC for anything, but rather try to strenghten our relationships by building it on a firm foundation. Pray to God to give you the grace to be faithful to each other at all times because none of us is immune to temptation on our own. My Fiance and I have had distance between us that most times when we get back it's like we are starting afresh. I have had temptations, but when i remember our promise to ourselves and the fact that i'll be hurting him by my actions, i overcome with the grace of God. Let us work on ourselves and our existing relationships before we go on NYSC and we'll be able to reduce the rate of broken relationships as long as we truly love our spouses, boyfriends or girlfriends. Thats my opinion. Chao guys.
Nairaland GeneralRe: Should Abortion Be Legalised In Nigeria? by jess(f): 11:56am On Nov 17, 2006
Ajolayo,
may God forgive you. Why would you want to destroy a life which you on your own cannot create. It is only God that has the right to do that because He created it. Abortion is worse than suicide and assasination. It would interest you to know that Africa is where it is today with poverty, conflicts and crisis, bad leadership and famine because of the babies (twins to be precise) that were killed before christainity came. Let us not repeat the mistakes of our fathers. Let us ask God to forgive us and dissociate ourselves from the sins of our fathers. A word is enough for the wise.
RomanceRe: How Did You Meet Your Boyfriend, Husband, Girlfriend, Or Wife? by jess(f): 11:45am On Nov 17, 2006
Well, i have known my fiance for, let me say, as long as i can remember. In fact, he was my classmate in primary one and we acted together in a school play back in primary school. Our mothers were best friends then but they had a misunderstanding back then that severed their friendship. My family relocated when i was in primary five and we've moved to two different cities within Nigeria. We lost contact, but were united during my NYSC after we moved back to that city. To cut the story, we are best friends and i love him so much that i can't wait for our wedding. Our union has united our mothers.
RomanceRe: What Would You Hide From The One You Love? by jess(f): 11:29am On Nov 17, 2006
Hi guys,
it is advisable that you tell your partner everything, i mean, EVERYTHING, about yourself. Secrets are more destructive when they are kept secret. I tell my boyfriend everything, in fact, he knows everything about me and things have worked well for us because i also know everything about him. We share our fears, our secrets and feats. When we are together, we look back at them and share laughs concerning those silly things we did in the past. I recommend that you all do the same. Then, the rates of divorce, broken marriages and relationships will be reduced. Good luck to you and i hope you heed my advice. Trust me, it works wonders. CHAO.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Cover Page? by jess(f): 8:23pm On Nov 12, 2006
Hi Charly,
dont panick co a covering letter isn't something difficult to write. A covering letter is what some call application letter. It is a leeter in which your state the skills and qualificationa that you possess which are relevant to the job you are applying for. It demonstrates your written communication skills and your knowledge of accepted business practices, as well, your ability to convince the reader of your value to the organization.

1. Show what you can do for the reader, not what you want the reader to do for you; keep the focus on your qualifications as they relate to the position you are seeking.

2. Write clearly and simply; avoid jargon and very complex and long sentences; say what you have to say directly and clearly.

3. Business letters are formal rather than informal communications.

4. Keep it brief; a one-page letter of 3 - 4 paragraphs is sufficient; your cover letter should never be more than one page long.

5. Mention one or two specific accomplishments or strengths that demonstrate your expertise or proficiency and make the reader want to know more, then refer the reader to your resume for more information.

6. After writing your address on the top left handside of the letter and that of the organization mentioning " The Human Resources Manager" or "The Manager", start the letter by writing "Dear Sir or Madam," . After that, give the letter a heading such as " Application for the position of _____________".

7. Always keep the reader in mind; make your letters easy to read and keep to the point; demonstrate that you understand and can use sound business writing principles in your communications.

8. Produce high quality, error-free copy; follow the guidelines used in preparing your resume and be sure to proofread carefully; use the same font and pitch used in your resume, and make your letter look as much like your resume as possible.

9. Use high quality stationary and envelopes; the best strategy is to use the same paper as your resume and purchase matching envelopes.

10. Be honest; always be able to back up what you say with evidence and specific examples from your experience.

11. Close by stating what action you will be taking as a follow-up to your letter, wherever possible; this takes the burden off the reader and also gives you more control over the process.

12. Be positive in tone, choice of words and expectations; convey your self confidence, enthusiasm and professionalism.

13. Be sure to sign your letter using your full name as typed.  Use a high quality pen with black ink--and be sure your signature is legible!

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Am I Underage Pls Reply by jess(f): 3:35pm On Oct 16, 2006
Hi Mogigirl,
it's not impossible for someone to have completed primary education at the age of 9. I know this cos i finished primary school at 9 and secondary at 15. So my dear, cheer up cheesy and see those who doubt your honesty as being jealous of your achievement. As for the job you lost, don't count it as a loss but as a sign that a better one is coming your way; meant just for you. Be proud of your achievement cos it worth being proud of.

blasterman, i am highly disappointed in you.at your age,you dont have repect for females. huh and to think that you are searching for a job and will walk side by side with females. You have got to learn how to treat ladies and women with respect cos in case you have forgotten,a woman gave birth to you.i hope your girlfriend knows the kind of man, sorry, boy she is dating.
as for you dutty, what is all the fuss about graduating with a 2.1,2.2 or a pass?if i may ask,did you graduate top of your class?don't think so.you are in no position to determine the fate of any graduate.if you were so good you wouldn't be jobless.this forum is supposed to encourage job seekers and put smiles on everyone's faces. so i think that anyone with other ulterior motives shouldn't be a part of this forum.nairalanders,do you agree with me?
