If you're for fall semester, there's still time, so wait for the GA offer, and you can't even go for your interview until around May, so why the rush. Wait until you get your GA

And your i20 has to be issued before you can pay your Sevis

Hello...Happy New Year to everyone here.

I’ve been admitted for a Masters in Communications at Grand Valley State University but no funding/ GA yet.

Please I want to know if I should go ahead and pay my Sevis fee for my I-20 to be prepared or wait till I get a GA cus I think a funding/GA status is something that reflects on the I-20 document.

I have gone through quite a number of messages on this forum and they all seem interesting.
congratulations to everyone traveling out already and to those of us still in the process, good-luck.

Please i love to ask if its a general thing in US or just some schools. I applied for a Masters program at Western Illinois University and Grand Valley State University with my National Diploma and Higher National Diploma certificate. I evaluated my transcript using WES where i had 3.06/4.0.
Unfortunately, i received a mail from WIU that they no longer accept ND/HND for masters application. An heart-breaker.

Please i want to know if there is anyone here who have successfully applied for masters in the US with the ND/HND or you know anyone who have and names of the schools that accepts the ND/HND Certificate and other helpful tips.

I will be reading through for positive replies.

Hello....I’m new here and I want to believe HND is a go for graduate degree in the US.

And please I started the process with WEs already and I was required to send my transcript,statemtn of result,WAEC cert and waec scratch card.

But the thing is my transcript got delivered 3days ago and on my WES profile,it’s already showing evaluation in progress and I shouldn’t do anything at this point....should I just adhere to that and wait for further instructions or just go ahead and send all other supporting documents as earlier requested?....I hope someone replies me soon..thanks .

I believe that for you to want to apply for Masters, that means you have a B.Sc. Associate degree is equivalent to OND in Nigeria. So if you have a B.Sc, why do you want to apply for OND again? or may be your question is incomplete.

So HND is a go for Masters in the US right?

BSc and HND are equivalent in the US. I have a friend who used his HND and got accepted directly into a Masters program. I will just suggest that you do the WES evaluation of your OND and HND together. That will be equivalent to BSc here in the US and Canada.

Ooh....thank God....I’ve started the evaluation with WES already and I’m an HNd holder....but the thing is Ive been able to send just my transcriot and it’s already showing “evaluation in progress” on my portal and I’m required not to go any other thing at this moment.....should I just go ahead and send all other necessary documents like my. WAEC scratch card and my Two NOR (ND & HND) or I should just wait for WEs to notify me about that.
