Hello, I sure will drop the transcripts, missed three weeks of lectures so trying so hard to catch up... before I drop that when I am free, points to note, first, my interview was not in Nigeria, the questions were just so spontaneous, totally different from what's in here but then haven prepared exceptionally for the usual questions, I swept through.

As for my Initial AP status, I spent almost three weeks waiting and praying, but the the inspiration/advise came and I bombarded the embassy with emails and next day they acted, all thanks to God it came out positive. My advise to anyone future AP 'victim', please, wait for the embassy for like a week, if you don't hear from them, e-mail them and cal. Ignore that shit in that paper telling you not to contact until after 60 days, I mean...

My experience so far in brief: Education pass education, there's almost no education in Nigeria, don't come here and argue with me before I vex oo. My first lecture here, I almost weeped for my country and continent. Nigeria is still farrrrrr.

My school needs more African students though, we are about 10 here from Africa and 4 of us are Nigerians. I am the only graduate student here from Nigeria and in coming weeks I will be officially going around different states/localities that have notable African communities to create awareness...beginning with Houston here.

May God bless Nigeria! May God bless Africa! God has blessed America mehn!!!!!!

I'm not a newbie to admissions and I never said no one reads SOPs. I said, no one reads a 6-page SOP, so anyone thinking of writing a 6-page SOP might be wasting his time.

Make it simple and coherent

And I am saying stop concluding no one reads it because they sure do for those candidates they finally admit. The guy who wrote his SOP in 6 pages might have reasons why he did that. Like he said, he has publication(s) and may also have some "work in progress" which he might want to discuss in details in his SOP. Good to advice on what you think is best but unfair to conclude on what you might not be privy to.

On a 5.0 scale,

4.5 to 5.0 is first class

3.5 to 4.49 is second class upper

2.50 to 3.49 is second class lower

1.50 to 2.49 is third class

Below 1.50 is fail

What university is this please? Thought a second class lower is 2.40 - 3.49. Also, don't people get pass or certificate of attendance as some call it?

It hasn’t o. The only new thing on my dashboard is that my status was last updated on2/8/2019 from the last time it was updated which was 2/1/2019. Status is still in progress and it says they are still reviewing my documents. That’s basically all there is to it for now so I’m still waiting. Have you received any status update?

Any reviews on the following schools:
1. Bowie state university
2. Clark Atlanta university
3. Brown university ( it’s an Ivy League school I heard)

Is either of these schools a red flag school ?

This is harsh...that someone had low GPA in undergraduate course doesn't mean that person is not bright or not brilliant and intelligent. We have guys that drop out from school and end up creating great things with great ideas. Don't mock or look down on any one with low CGPA.

Bro what year did you grad and what department? Maybe there is a restructure in the grading system. I also grad in eksu. For years this has been the grading system:

4.5 - 5.0 First class
3.5 - 4.49 Second class upper
2.5 - 3.49 Second class Lower
1.5 - 2.49. Third Class
1.0 - 1.49 Pass

Hope there is no error in your transcript?

**UPDATE I just confirmed. You are actually right 2.40 -3.49 is second class lower.

I noticed that a year after I graduated 2015 precisely the NUC came out with a regrading method where E will no longer be a pass mark again and the least pass mark then was 45 instead of 40. With these back then the CGPA points where adjusted, but later they noticed that first class student where too plenty so they have to revert it back to the age long practice.
I perceive he graduated between these time.
